No sir. As you might have observed from the images I shared above, the ODU is installed in the living room, and I also have the router mounted close to it. Kindly take a 2nd look at the pictures I shared above.

The ODU is originally meant for areas with poor network reception because it boosts network connectivity. I chose to install it indoors and I am getting good network reception.

Finally,in response to your question about Internet speed test, yes I did subscribe for the unlimited 20. However, I get beyond this speed cap. I can't hazard a guess as to the reason why this is so. All I know is that I get very decent network speed even with all the home devices connected and stream videos without buffering. For me, it's money well spent, and so far so good. I am satisfied with my user experience. Use of Internet Download Manager is known to boost file download speed.

Definitely better. Whatever informed that decision is nothing but greed. Kudos to them for heeding to the call for review of such decision

These aren't the unlimited plans we are referring to. There are other options available as unlimited subscription

I don later buy the airtel 5g router on Monday as dem don reintroduce the 20k unlimited subscription. It's very good in my location. Only issue i noticed is the battery pack that comes with it doesn't last long. I realized it has two wifi output. One for 2.4ghz and 5ghz connection. I switched off the 5ghz connection but didn't notice much difference in battery drain. Is there any way to improve battery life?

I hv not experienced such before. Maybe others will share their user experience when they come online. Infact I don't even bother checking my usage cos it's unlimited. However I use the ODU and not the 5 router. There shouldn't be any difference between both. I am also on the 20mbps plan.

The only reason i switched to airtel is that my other service provider gives me 15mbps for the same 20k and i use give or take 2tb monthly with no data throttling. Airtel has and forever been deceptive in their dealings

I suggest you stick to your former ISP because the 15mbps is very okay if it is guaranteed oo.

It should if you still have your router sim card. Put a call thru to airtel customer care or better still try checking out the available subscription options on the simcard.

I don't think they stated anywhere that FUP doesn't apply. Infact I believe they did state that it applies. I may be wrong though.

I also believe it is more than adequate for majority who are average Internet users. Even some average Internet users with starlink hardly ever exceed 1tb.

Better still renew the sub if you wish or get a 2nd hardware and sub on it.

If you have a good rapport with your flatmate or neighbour self na to just share sub 10k each and both of you get to enjoy the data. Where else can you get 500gb to 1tb data at 20k in 9ja.

I hope to try exceeding the 1tb usage just to confirm if the speed will be throttled for me as well.

Perhaps it's not well configured with the right APN for mtn after cracking the airtel router.

If I may ask, what informed your choice of the mtn 10k 40gogs sub? Isn't the airtel sub better, moreso if u can share the sub with one of your guys in ur area?

If you have a bad network reception in ur area, then the ODU is a better choice for you cos it helps to boost the network.

I got mu ODU for 50k with a month's subscription on it.
