O ma she oo. I really love Nigeria. You're not the only one feeling this way. When you go out and see countries that aren't even up to us developing and achieving growth, you'd even feel much more emotional. Go to some mushroom african nations , they've left us far behind even without making noise about it. I was in the US with our partners recently. I met a great guy who said they had their manufacturing plant in Ethiopia and ship to the world from there. Total is investing heavily in Angola as I speak. Multinationals are leaving Nigeria for other African nations, its something to be worried about.

Our leaders, both past and present are the ones who have destroyed Nigeria, Including their followers who have remained perpetual slaves under them. Imagine, IBB, Abubakar , Tinubu, Patience Jonathan, etc own discos and gencos. What do they know about power? They shared it among themselves. Tinubu got his own by proxy. You will never see his name on the board or as director. These greedy people are the reasons for our woes but they remain untouchable cos we keep supporting them. Tinubu owned 3 private jets and people couldn't ask questions.

Until we the masses say enough, they'd continue to take us for a ride most of them have been milking Nigeria since 1960. They were less than 40 years of age then and they're still milking us in their old age. Its up to you and I to resist their act of slavery. We're on the majority side.

Nigeria's problems are centered around tribalism and bigotry. No nation ever survives or progresses when such are a commonplace. They see governance as turn by turn. The masses who support them are always the worse hit when it comes to making bad choices. Those they blindly support in the name of tribalism don't give hoots about their existence

The power supply even then wasn't anything good. You can go several days without it. The only thing I think NEPA was better was in terms of pricing and then provision of power infrastructure. NEPA had new transformers and other power equipment, even though they weren't enough. The current Discos seldom install new transformers. Rather, customers buy the equipments and are forced to sign asset transfer to the Discos. To add insult to injury, the customers pay the Disco for installing the transformer. What a country!

I disagree because even in the mid 90s, people in my area in Port Harcourt,.including bars, shops and barbing saloons, did not hafe generators. The light was far better then. We watched TV programs regularly, and we had no generator.

If you trace this back to the very beginning, it's likely that the helicopter（s） were acquired during regional system or even pre-independence. I won't put it past those likelihood.

You are right.
I remember when if you want to cut your hair, you could just go to barbing salon and wait even even they don't have generator because you are sure light will be restored soon.
Also we had this old type hot plate with coils that we used to cook regularly.
