The only way is to stay calm and wait. OR you expedite the process if necessary.

I need clarification on whether it's mandatory to get married at the Ikoyi Registry. I came across some information suggesting that only certificates issued by Ikoyi Registry are recognized and accepted by embassies. Can someone confirm if this is true?

Good day all, my sis whose fiancée is in USA filed went for her interview today and her case was put on “administrative processing”. . Please who had been on this case before and did it end up in refusal or approval.
Ps: she applied for a us visa over 7 years ago and it was filled by an agent and she was added to a group of people and was told to mention she was married. The form was filled by she was the one and not by an agent and on her interview she mentioned she was married and her husband worked in a bank blah blah… like the agent prepared her for but she was refused.
But it came up in her recent interview she mentioned that it was through an agent but didn’t think it will come up and didn’t say or prepare anything for this. So please any advice or process to follow will be welcomed. Thanks

Please, I need someone whom have passed through this experience to guide me on what to do. I recently got married to my wife she’s a citizen of US and now we’re both working on how to file a petition for my spouse visa. So I want to know does she have to bear my name to hers ? Is it mandatory she adds my name to her bearing name? What is the first step we need to take now ?

It feels so good revisiting this thread now that I finally live in America. This was really helpful for me and so many others, I remember how I use to panick, ask alot of questions, because I was waiting forever to receive interview date, the wait was painfully long for spousal visa, but it was worth it all the way. I want to say thank you to whoever created this thread, and to all the people who have contributed towards it. God bless you all, I also have refer many newbe who are starting their own spousal visa to come here and get real information from people who have done it.
