Onyedika is class!!

It is criminal to pick Ndidi ahead of Onyedika. The gulf in class is too much.

The reason we played well in the second half btw was that SA has already gotten the result they wanted and gone into defensive mode, if results were still not favorable they would have further exposed our disorganization and lack of compactness in midfield like they did in the first half

Well put.

but well he just came off the bench.. that could have happened to even Osimhen.. Moffi had no business in the bench with an Onuachu on the pitch. if Moffi had that more time on the pitch I believe he would have scored.

Moffi that replaced him is another Mumu. Osimhen is our top striker, we need to accept that

Apart from the misses, Iwobi was my man of the match.
Since 2017, Iwobi has the highest ASSIST in 80% of Goals SE scored(directly or indirect.)
2nd on this table is Simon Moses.

The same thing he did when we played SA during the AFCON. He had the ball one-on-one to bury the game extra time but he missed.

This should be is last call up to be candid. If it didn't dey, then it didn't dey. Onuachu should also never be on the invited List again.

Wish Bashir speedy recovery.

Ndidi is calm but if he must play then play him as either a defender or play home closer to the attackers As a DM ...he has badly regressed. Seems like it's been coached out of him . He was largely pedestrian

Nigerians are going to love finidi , this is how nigerians want their team to play
Tbh I was impressed by the gameplay, it was way better than any game we played in the last afcon, but it's obvious this team still needs more decent midfielders, we need someone that can bench iwobi during games...
Finidi got it all wrong in his line up, Iheanacho is washed and shouldn't be starting games for us moving forward, I'm also at dilemma at why he started and left onuachu for so long in this game

True sha. If you're not pumping crosses in, there's no point in starting Onuachu.

Osimhen is clear of all our strikers in every way. His best attribute is that he presses like 2 people.

Ndidi's positioning today was awful and his short pass decision making was off. If we are to excel, we need to get our build up play right and Onyedika is a natural when it comes to that.

I think the starting 11 should now be the team that played the 2nd half to the end. There was purpose and a bit of seriousness as we took over the midfield from the bafana boys. Kudos to the boys. Gap no far too much. The group is now very open

My brother abeg chop knuckle! You see am.

It’s not that we lack players, but the set up is very crucial.

Iwobi played much better when he was freed of defensive work. Chuks is a natural winger and combined better with the midfield than KC.

We created enough in the 2nd half to have gotten a 2nd goal.

If we approach the Benin match with the same setup and style of play as we did in the 2nd half, we can get all 3pts.

We are not in an ideal position but only 2pts off the top. This is the kind of group where anyone can beat/draw with anyone. Team A beats team B, team B beats team C, team C beats team A etc.

It’s not like we are 6pts off the top like in some other groups.
