Hello all! My Sis evaluation from IQAS is out and they evaluated her nursing degree as Two College Diplomas (Three years). Please does this fall under two or more degrees?

but its very painful watching your chances go down the drain just because you passed above par. while someone who did not do as much as you get picked
Reducing your score shouldn't be that difficult now. Its a matter of claiming 1 year of work experience (instead of 3 or more)/ evaluating only your bachelors (instead of 2 or more, masters etc). The main challenge is raising the score. Not including spouse's ielts (if any).

same thing I thought. Just claim relevant experience and others should go to personal history

Let me kuku pick the healthcare experience and add the rest on personal history

I read on ircc website that if you have two full time experience ( you did both job at the same time) it will be counted as 1 year experience

Put it clear bros...

The answer is: if cutoff is 400-480 in a category based draw, you won't receive ITA if your score is 481..... simple!

Cutoff is one score and not a range. I disagree with this your position. I believe if you score anything above the cutoff, you will receive ITA

This doesn’t sound right at all, if you meet and pass cut off, you will get ITA. Unless the draw is for a specific category that you do not qualify for so even if your score is 500 but you don’t qualify for the STEM category for instance, then people with lower scores who qualify will get ITA over you

but that is not fair to people who studied hard to make sure they exceedingly pass, why should they pick people with low score over people with high score, but that aside, please concerning this new caregiver pilot...

Because they do not qualify for the category unless it’s a general draw.

Spot on. If they are inviting people who meet the criteria for healthcare draw with a cutoff score of 430. Even if your score is 500 and your not classified under the healthcare category you won't be invited.

pNP mostly use range
For example Ontario draw on 6th Feb 2024
Health care draw, ITA were sent to people with 379-430, we had 441 and didn't get invited and I have someone with 428 whom was invited for the same PNP draw, we finally got ours later same February in the general healthcare draw where ITA was sent to people with 422 and above.
So if it's PnP and you are not within the selected range even if your point is higher and you are qualified (i.e it's an healthcare draw and your NOC is for healthcare), you won't be invited.

This post made me research Manitoba PNP, but I am ineligible because I have no connection to the province.

Thank you though, I will start looking at other provinces.

Please how can one check if their NOK is eligible for a PNP?

Thanks for the clarification, I was also referring to general draws for express entry (category based). Well noted

Good morning all. I just checked my ielts score and it was Reading 5, Speaking 6.5, Writing 6.0 and Listening 7.5. Additionally, I checked my CRS score based on this and it was 258. I'm I eligible to enter the pool?
I'm married but intend to go without my family for now. Please what's your best advice for me based on this score?

Secondly, I was asked to provide a company reference which I don't have presently. What kind of company can I get this reference letter from?

3rdly, can I start my WES evaluation now and if yes, what are the steps involved. Thank you

please why are the draws now having version1 beside them, are they trying to reintroduce another category or trying to phase out the categories, because it did not use to have version1 before, also do you have idea when they will be rolling out the care pilot programme and how to hunt for job offers. cc Dauphine

Bros, it's not for you to agree but to understand. I can confirm that Ontairo PNP draws come with a range, you can fact check me please.

If your score isn't within the given range, you won't receive ITA. Cheers!

Some of the category have time frame. Even the much awaited caregiver category is for 2024-2026. As this past one expired this June.
The job hunt is the main issue sad

Good morning guys.

I'd like to find out please, is it possible or advisable to get into any of the pools when decision has not been received on a visiting visa already applied for?

They will focus more on Cec draw henceforth. They want the inland applicant to get permanent residency.

Sure but there's no talk of stopping the category based draws... Reducing the draws and their numbers respectively, yes... Stopping them, no.
Until the government explicitly says so, it's all hearsay.

Each province usually has a list of ineligible NOCs on their website.

You just have to take your time and check.

Hi, please how did you get the JUPEB transcript for someone who did JUPEB at Unizik?

I requested for it and they sent it.
From the JUPEB department, the VC’s wife is the coordinator.
