"Allow you do your job" has cost you a win in your first real official match. This mentality will not take him far in SE.

You dumped a very top player in Boniface that is ability is not in doubt on the bench and started a Onuachu that fans have never liked his football with SE and you have the temerity to tell fans to Allow you do your job. Nigeria coaches and that statement is like 5 and 6.

You started kelechi that is terribly off form...I can't remember if Kelechi has played upto 4 matches this year 2024 with Leicester City.

You took Tanimunu to play central defence, and Bassey to play left back so as to please your bosses that want to sell players and when it boomerang on you, you switched Tanminu ro right back, Osayi to left back and turned SA to prime Brazil in the first half.

Finidi is not the manager that will qualify SE to the world cup. Directionless NFF should relive him now before it's too late...too many elementary decision making in playing selection and formation.

I predicted maximum 2 point in the two matches because of all what I have seen and observe from the end of Afcon mid February to the 30th of April 2024.

SE will not beat Benin with Finidi in charge...he does not have it all...too inexperienced. He is already cracking.

The surprising thing is that he has been with that team for 2 years yet he does not know how to use his players.
Finidi is simply horrible. If it was a new coach one will understand he has not known his players but he is not new. He needs to up his game or he may be fired.
If he does not win against Benin he may be fired. Most of these usa 94 generation are not good in coaching. Only siasia, eguavon and ammunika are ok among them.
Why not call igbo ogbu and jamilu collins to beef up the defence.
I'm not watching our next match. I don't care anymore. I'm tired

Igoh Ogbu

Olisa Ndah

Iwobi has retrogressed badly, from above average to average. We had great opportunities to shoot from the attacking midfielder position but Iwobi doesn't have the ability to shoot from the position. There matches you will play,no matter how hard you try to score, you cannot score unless you have a player that can deliver from Free kick, corner kick, win penalty and shoot from outside 18.
The super eagles lack such exceptional players, only Osimhen comes close and Nigeria missed him.

As far as I am concerned,we shldnt press d panic button yet,d 2nd half showed some great signs,we were just unlucky not to seal off d match(moffi miss) …if I would rate finidi ..it’s a 6 /10 ..mark …like I said ,d group is still very open 😎

In a sane society, someone should either resign or get fired for that egregious error. But Nigeria is anything but sane.

I seriously wondered whether the people in NFF are living in modern age like "the plague in aso rock".

For a match of that magnitude not to have VAR REF shows how the moribund, archaic and derogatory elements in NFF took us for a ride.

But what do I know, I am just a village reporter

Not the only team Sir.

The team with 5 points haven't lost too. They're on two draws and one win.

we really clipped SA to rely on counter attack…our second half display brought back the memory of real pressing football….SA were now seating back and looking for counter….we really pressed them in the second half…but winning is all we need oo

Have you ever coached a team before?
If you have, then you'll know there is a big difference between being an assistant coach and the main coach.

Don't mind him. Oliseh hasn't been that bad considering that he's just four/five games as manager.

For some unknown reasons, I feel more confident playing against SA in SA than playing against them in Nigeria. There is this feeling and atmosphere when we play in their stadium.

It is not. I have always loved the atmosphere in SA, maybe due to their stadiums. We always play better in SA. Still remember Uche Nwofor's backheel

Whilst in our earlier meetings with them in the 1990's and 2000's we routinely achieved success against Bafana Bafana, in those games they certainly did the playing...... unfortunately for them we did the scoring.

We were able to do this because the individual quality we possessed was enough to force a result our way irrespective of our relatively chaotic approach. This is actually why their support base always wanted to face us again and again. They could understandably feel their revenge was just around the corner. They couldn't and didn't really accept we were better the better team.....we were 'just winning'.

Fast forward to the last 10 years and Bafana has recognised and doubled down on their comparative and competitive advantage i.e. the sourcing of their players makes it super easy to maintain a team of players who though are not world beaters in their individual capacity but decent enough to compete.

In summary the quality differential of the PLAYERS from supposedly superior teams has become more and more insufficient in compensating for the gap team chemistry.

Although simplistic, this is the crux of the matter with this particular fixture for us. The technical analysis of the actual game will follow.

still, allow him do his job. You mean well with the analysis but he is not going to change his tactics just because the fans are not comfortable with his ideas. Hounding on him won't change anything.

I hope our coach knows that Ndidi can play CB.
I expect him to pair Ndidi and Bassey at CB against Benin Republic.
Awaziem can slug it out with Osayi for the RB role.
Sodiq Ismail can take the LB role. He is a very good crosser of the ball.

I expect to see Onyedika,Yusuf and Iwobi as his midfield pivot.

Boniface should start as CF with Lookman and Chukwueze flanking him.

Bashiru impressed me,He is a proper baller.

Aside Osimhen, I am not impressed with any of our CF
Maybe it's high time we invite Elijah Adebayo of Luton town.

Dessers
Moffi
Umar
Onuacho are not SE material.

See the unforgivable chance Moffi wasted in the 18 yard box.

Ndah,Igbo,Osho should make the squad list for the next games.

Finidi George must do better in his team list invitation and squad game selection.

We must beat Benin Republic to brighten our chances of WCQ
