so the pastor shouldn't live his life again.. did access bank stood still after Wigwe death?? What's insensitive about an event that was already planned... It's quite distasteful how pastor iluyomade has been made a scapegoat for nothing...

So in other words what you're saying is that if 3 members of your family die on the same day through tragic circumstances your main priority will be to host a show-stopping party simply because you have been planning it for the past 3 months abi?

Revenue? How exactly?
You guyz will just draw conclusions on the surface. Adeboye is running his race to Heaven and you guyz are busy criticizing. Leave Adeboye and "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling". Focus!!!

You just mentioned salvation or servant pyramid?
This people are building religious followers on deceit for cover up of their political and hidden business. Church is just their fortress.

You don't understand how this pyramid works, let them be flying in Jet with your sweat commonwealth and you keep licking their as$ by defending them.

In the pastor's mind the Wigwes didn't have enough anointing, or they were not just having enough grace like him and his beautiful 60yr old wife, otherwise they shouldn't have perished like that. That's why they had no empathy to feel for the Wigwes. The moment you meet anyone that thinks they have a special sort of grace on their head, remind the dullard that they will never have half the grace of Myles Munroe and yet he perished like the Wigwes. The worst foooolishness is self delusion

Real Christians don't see physical death as "perishing". To perish is to die and go to eternal damnation.

So, a person who died in a plane crash while spending his life serving the Lord hasn't "perished", as far as we know (the Lord sees the heart), but has gone home to his/her reward.

I will like to point out that Dr. Myles had said that he would like to die with his wife.......funny, but that's exactly what happened.

What do you think about that?

why won't the wedding go as planned... Should the living follow the dead too.. you guys are trying to make a mountain out of nothing.. a member is a member ordinary or super ordinary that's why Paul talked about impartiality in Christendom...

This is the most emotionless and insensitive statement I have ever read on this platform . I pray your loved ones see this post and see how much you “love” them .

How is postponing a wedding mean “following the dead”?

A Christian should honour the dead both rich and poor . That is the impartiality ! It shows that pastor and his wife honors nobody .

When last did u hear God dropped a bag of rice in my kitchen or the 3 derica I bought lasted my family for a month..God uses men

Lack of testimony doesn't mean GOD isn't working. GOD can use men but he is not bound to use only men for his works. When he created the heaven and earth, where was man? When he created the plants and animals, where was man? Do not allow the small tasks that GOD has assigned mankind to go to your heads... GOD doesn't need man to do things. He can use us but that is his choice to do so in those cases.

Wigwe wasn't just an affluent member of that church...He almost singlehandedly financed that project!! ..Gave out non interest loans (running into billions) for that edifice!!

Do you know how church buildings are funded? Have you seen the accounts to support the above claim? Do not talk from a position of ignorance but rather from a position of knowledge. People may sow seeds as part of building funds. That doesn't mean the church is beholden to them. If that was the basis of contribution, one has missed road.

Let's say you plan to get married next week and your father, mother and two siblings dies in a road accident, will you go ahead with the wedding?
Wigwe in this case was a very prominent person in that church, not just an ordinary member...
Make una dey think before una talk.
Is Wigwe the father, mother and two siblings of this pastor's wife? Wigwe contribution is to the church as a body and doesn't give special rank above other members if truly you want to practice Christianity. Should catholic members cancel their weddings because Pope died? Highest thing is to have some moments of silence at the occasion or put it into the sermon for reflection. Dem dun chop All of una head inside church matter. Do you know how many other church members died since that period and did you ask their pastors to cancel their engagement in honour of those members?

you don't know what you are saying, are you trying to justify they shouldn't do any remittance to the main headquarter.there is always a percentage that the parish do take not all taken to the head
how many percentage is that

I was incharge of Remittance in parish and we have over 7 parishes under us, the percentage that remains is not even enough to pay rent pay some church workers and other impress just go and discuss this with any parish pastor let them school you properly

Remittance was what I did for 6yrs and I have enough knowledge about what transpired

RCCG has been reduced to a Money making agency nolonger for soul winning

RCCG is the worse place to go and seek for help because the church purse is always empty every month members tasks themselves in order to meet up with the church needs

Oga don't drag me on this you know nothing about what going on there

Why all this noise about the pastor Iluyomade and siju, and the church?

Can't someone else be appointed or elected to continue with the activities of the church positively.

Oga take several seats if you have nothing sensible to say!!! What do you mean 'talking from a position of ignorance '...This information is in the public domain... Even the Pastor had credited the success of the structure to the immense financial support from Wigwe in time past...

Read my post carefully and then release your emotional self. You said the Wigwes almost singlehandedly .. there are a lot of rich people in Nigeria that are careful about displays of wealth.

Where did the problem start from? HIS WIFE.

MEN have to show courage and curtail the excesses of these women else they will certainly and always walk the path they never intended.

Imagine hosting such a party at a time you should use to show how concerned you are to he bereaved family.

The wife caused this. 60th birthday party that they will always live to regret. But who knows whether it's God's own way of saying 'Enough!'?

That property wasn't bought in the name of RCCG. I heard of this while discussing with some senior men in Trinity Towers on the day of Wigwe's Service of Songs.

Well said. The shamelessness of their act didn't perturb them. Anointing without wisdom and self control. The woman got her wish of a birthday by all means, while the man lost his empathy for the flock, just because of an already forgotten birthday

oga please take your time to read through the preponderance of the opinions of everyone that has contributed to the topic thread today and it's that these so called churches are nothing but business centres while the pastors are largely lining their pockets, gaming the religion and living lavishly which is a complete opposite of the spiritual filled and austere life Jesus Christ lived, Good Christians need to urgently save the Christendom especially in Nigeria from its imminent collapse

Yes, but using such terms should be discouraged.

See as this man just allowed his wife to land him into shame. All because he couldn't control his wife. I am very sure that it was his wife that personally wanted Flavour to sing at the party...

Men, this is a big lesson for you. No be everything you go dey allow your wife. These women ain't always objective and reasonable.... Take major decisions always as a man... Only allow your wife's decisions to stand if they are reasonable and objective.... Otherwise you will end in shame.

Now, it's the man that is at the centre of the shame, not the wife

Truer words have never been spoken. This scenario has played out several times in my own nuclear family. My wife can come up with several ideas but they all have to pass through me. I would only approve of an idea after thorough vetting. Only ideas that pass the logic and reasonableness tests are the ones I approve. The others are dismissed. Some ideas are even outrightly dismissed as they appear highly irrational. As you rightly side, a man who doesn't lead his home is bound to encounter shame and problem like the one the pastor is going through. As a man you've got to be firm and uncompromising, else your wife would mess you up with their mostly irrational and emotional requests. Most men don't understand what being the head of the family means. If simply means leadership. If you fail to lead, nature abhors vacuum, your wife will take the lead then and we all know how that is going to end. Being the family head doesn't mean having to rub it on your wife's face, it's mostly done through actions. A lion doesn't need to announce its arrival.

Here's an example that just came to mind:
I remember visiting a restaurant with my family. My wife was in charge of placing orders. When the order arrived, I noticed she ordered nothing for the house help or she ordered something light like snacks for her. Can't remember exactly what happened. But I scolded her in a subtle manner and immediately demanded that she places a better order for the house help similar to our own order. If we're taking a cocktail or mocktail, the house help has to take one as well. At least ask her what she would like to take. Since then, there's no family outing we embark on that my wife would not ask our house help what she would like to take and adds her request to our order. She has since taken that lesson and assimilated it.

The wife! This has always been my view on this matter. A man must learn to say NO when necessary, and damn the face frowning, sulking attitude that might follow. Three members of a family died tragically, and you felt nothing.
The damn birthday could have been held later in the year, and it would have been a huge success, both emotional and socially.

And to think she invited a secular artiste to an event that a born again (claims of being filled with the spirit) was the entertainer. Honestly it speaks volumes, but sadly people will look the other way. The church has become worldly. A Christian artiste would have been invited ,made it entertaining with different songs capped for that event not necessarily their regular songs from their album. Like you said, maybe alot has been going on that the public was unaware of and this was Gods way of saying "ENOUGH"!!
