Good day everyone, please my application to canada was rejected due to insufficient fund; I have 32M in my sponsor account and 9M in my own account. My tuition is 6390 and I have paid 2000 Canadian dollar as deposit which I attached the receipt.
I am married but the application was for myself, no family

I have applied for GCMS note yesterday, I will re apply ones the letter is ready by making all necessary corrections on the letter too

The issue is most likely the source of the POF not been proved with docs.

However, what is the duration of the programme? How much is the first-year tuition total?

I appreciate your estimates, however, I believe the grocery budget may require some revision. It seems unlikely that a family of five would spend CAD 1,800 per month on groceries. I suggest a maximum budget of CAD 500, although even that amount may be considered generous.

I am in Canada. I have a family of five. I can confirm to you that I spend more than that. Groceries are so expensive. Groceries are not just food. It includes fruits, dairy, pampers, soap, waste bags, tissue paper, etc.

Family of five needs 3 bedroom apartment price will depend on province and town after below estimate the rest will go on rent apartment.. for 3 bedroom apartment approximately 1700 cad to 4000cad per month.
If you don't import food stuffs that will last the whole time in Canada you will spend on groceries.
Estimated 450 dollars a week on groceries per week
Internet@home=56 dollars a month
Electricity estimate summer:60 dollars per month , in winter for hitting economy estimate upto=170 to 200 dollars per month for 3 bedroom apartment.
Mobile phone top up for two adults;25 cad ×2=50dollars
You can't get through winter without buying a car with that family size for school runs for the kids and to do shopping etc excluding car price .. for car insurance and fuel per month roughfly 300 cad per month, excluding car maintenance , just to fix a broken wiper in canada 🇨🇦 cost 250 dollars

Estimated mandatory expenses per month
3 bedroom Rent apartment in cheap town:1700cad
Groceries:1800 dollars
Internet;56 dollars
Electricity in summer:60 dollars
Phone bill:50 dollars
Roughly total is 3666 dollars per month.

Which cheap town in Canada you will get rent for a 3-bedroom for $1,700 CAD? I guess that will be a rural town where you will have to drive 3 hours daily to work or the nearest school, or start a farm business, because at $1,700 CAD, you are moving out of civilization and going toward the bush!

You will be surprise the way some Nigerians feed their children in Canada in the name of saving money is dangerous. Eating cheap junk food to save costs and not providing lunch bags for school, leaving children with little or without food, is a concern. These children ate better in Nigeria before relocating, but upon arriving in Canada, their parents start these money-saving practices at the expense of the children's physical and mental health!

While I understand CAD500 monthly groceries is too small for a family of 5.......$1800 is still high in my own opinion (Except you are staking your groceries on Africa dishes, which are expensive here).

Dont follow the crowd to do 'wanna be" online, instead budget your groceries according to the need of your family. All those commenting junk food in this forum, I dont know what they term as junk food. Dont let anyone deceive you I have live in this country long enough to believe people using their own lifestyle to judge other lifestyle. Canada is a place that treat u the way u want it to. You cut your coat according to your expenses ( but dont starve your family with the basic need), if you follow the crowd then be ready to defend your style of living.

Mr 2cents,Another defense of the African parental mentality regarding poor character in children's upbringing is that, since you don't understand the meaning of 'junk food,' it will be difficult to grasp its impact on children's mental and physical development. Therefore, comparing a normal balanced diet to an exotic lifestyle. I was born in Canada, then spent some years in Nigeria, and back to Canada, working in a sector that exposes me to the challenges children face here, especially those of African immigrant parents!

You haven't given your definition of junk food. The definition of junk food is relative. Whether you are born in Canada or Lesotho, every culture have their delicacies and if it doesn't aligned it can be termed as junk depending on how they view it.

The first time I was invited to an Irish thanksgiving, I was given tasteless potatoe and turkey meshed in sugar. To me it was junk because it never aligned with African delicacies and taste bud.

Go to coastco and see the definition of junk food.. some white will fill their carts with soda(Pepsi, Coke etc) and potatoe chips, and chocolates, is that not junk??

Hello! Happy Sunday @ Everyone.

What amount is considered a lump sum?
Should deposits of ₦600,000 naira or more into your bank account be explained in your SOP??
My dad is my sponsor, but do I still need to include my employment contract, employment letter, and study leave letter from my Employer?
I have a brother currently studying in Canada. Should I mention this in my SOP?
Should I also mention that I have previously been denied a student permit?

I only stated that I used the new portal, I didnt say it hastened the study permit application process.

From what I have learnt in the past years, provide only necessary and relevant information in your application. Disclosing your brother is currently studying in Canada has no bearing on your application.

With regards to lumpsum, hopefully, someone in the house can clarify.

If you are employed, you can provide your employment details and bank statements in addition to your dad's info.

It's not easy to debate about food with someone who is struggling financially, regardless of where they live. They may not be receptive to the conversation. I pray that you will be able to provide your children with nutritious food, and I wish you well in this endeavor.

1. Lumpsum is dependent on the account if, in the past 6 months, there is no record of your account having such a deposit and the closing bal. is not up to that amount 600k might be considered as a lumpsum to that account.

Despite your Dad acting as a sponsor it is important to include your employment documents form your professional home ties. As for you brother, you can state it or leave it.
Note if your dad used the same acct to sponsor your brother you should declare it, i have seen a case where an applicant was refused based on that although it was in USA. And state every previous visa refusals.

Canada is a popular destination for many people around the world, whether it be for work, study, or travel. In this article, we will provide you with all the necessary information about Canada Visa and how you can obtain one.

First and foremost, it is important to note that there are different types of visas for Canada, depending on the purpose of your visit. The visitor visa allows you to enter Canada for a temporary period, usually for tourism, visiting family or friends, or attending a conference.

The most common ones are the visitor visa, study permit, and work permit. The study permit is required for those who wish to study in Canada for a duration longer than six months, while the work permit is necessary for those who want to work in Canada temporarily.

To apply for a Canada Visa, you will need to visit the official website of the Government of Canada Immigration and Citizenship (IRCC). You can also find a list of documents that you need to submit along with your application.

The website provides detailed information about the different visa categories, eligibility requirements, and application process. It is important to ensure that all the documents are accurately filled out and meet the requirements to avoid delays or rejection of your application.

One of the most important documents that you will need to provide is a letter of invitation from a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident. It should also include their contact information, such as address, phone number, and email.

This letter should state the purpose of your visit and your relationship with the person inviting you. This letter is crucial in proving the authenticity of your visit and your ties to Canada.

Apart from the letter of invitation, you will also need to provide proof of your financial stability, such as bank statements or proof of employment, to show that you can support yourself during your stay in Canada. Therefore, it is advisable to start the process well in advance of your intended travel date.

You may also be required to undergo a medical examination and provide a police certificate from your home country.

It is important to note that the visa application process can be quite lengthy and may take several weeks or even months. Additionally, it is recommended to seek the assistance of a reputable immigration consultant to guide you through the process and increase your chances of a successful application.

In conclusion, obtaining a Canada Visa may seem like a daunting task, but with the right information and proper preparation, it can be a smooth and hassle-free process. You can also find helpful resources and assistance on platforms like , where you can find reliable immigration consultants who can help you with your application.

Make sure to visit the official website of the Government of Canada Immigration and Citizenship (IRCC) for all the necessary information and guidelines. Good luck on your journey to Canada! Visit jiji_ng/158-canada-visa for more information..

I applied alongside my spouse with him being the primary applicant.

He was sent a Biometrics request, while I wasnt.

Also, I do not have a UCI number, but he has.

Should i be worried or is there something i need to do?
