I doubt there's any block of flats in Lagos that does not have a single person working on the Island. This has led to traffics snarl and rising up by 4am to dodge go-slow.

If other downtowns are created, it would reduce pressure on the "Island"

Firstly, Pseudo is a common word. A quick search on nairaland returned 20 pages. On the other hand, polycentric returned only two pages (most of which are related to this article).

Secondly, I mentioned five examples but you only (unsuccessfully) responded to one. That says a lot about you.

Finally, polycentric isn't just a word. It's a terminology. A simple word can have deep meanings when it becomes a term. For example "method" is quite synonymous to "technique" or "style" in plain English. However, it has a very different meaning in computer science. So it's illogical for a computer scientist to use the term "method" and expect everyone to understand because "it's a simple word".
