As a man or woman of God who wants to do exploits for God, never leave your church where you serve with anger, it doesn’t usually end well. It is well with them and Christendom

You want him to continue when he is depressed? You want him to continue until Baba goes to rest and another person becomes the G.O? You are a Spirit having a soul that dwells in the body. Once the soul is broken down, any arrow that enters the body penetrate the spirit directly. If the spirit doesn't have enough Fire, there will be problem. Again, in depression, the spirit cannot enjoy Baba's Grace. He needs to take a long break.

I quite understood what you said. It happens clearly in Winners and other Ministries. God knows best.

Social Media has become very acidic. Most young people on Social Media are distorted. Most of the time the attack is against Baba Adeboye, today, it is against Pastor Iluyomade because of Herbert Wigwe. As one of the sons of Prophet, I have a different opinion from my Spirit. Only God knows the best. You just revealed Herbert Wigwe loaned the Church One Billion Naira . This is a good information.

The revelation assumed to be received and written by Apostle John on the Island of Patmos spoke about some Churches. COD comprises of many rich men according to the earthly standard. Somebody earlier asked the question if an ordinary member had died if the birthday should have also be postponed despite months of planning and investment already made? I cannot answer the question. Somebody also said he has seen marriages postponed few days to the wedding because the father or the mother of the bride or bridegroom died. I don't want to dabble into this. I have a totally different view based on Christ teaching.

Dr Tony Rapu has not said anything. It is too early to comment.

Social Media young people are controlled by sentiment. I observed the celebration of Tobi Amusan's victory as the fastest woman was very cold and not explosive. If another person has achieved that feat up till this moment, the celebrations would have still been explosive.

The journey of faith is very difficult. Most of the things we consider here might be of no value in the spirit realms. Thank God for the information of the 1 billion Naira loan by Wigwe to complete the building.

As a good Christian you need to bear good fruits. No one in rccg is against him attending a wedding ceremony but the wedding didn't promote good actions that relates with the Christian faith but rather worldly actions. As a true Christian a minister of the word,a true disciple why attend a worldly celebrations, with nudes and no praises sang to God?

Only God knows best. I got to know about Pastor Iluyomade early 1999 when I was a very young man, by then he was the Senior Pastor RCCG Kings Court, VI, my personal friend whom I escorted to the Church many times is not a member but a computer engineer (Steven AJ ......) who repairs his computer. He was very close to him. He told me something then (1999) about the man and his wife which now made me to know the man and wife love each other so much. I just got to know few days ago that he is the Senior Pastor of COD.

For such man to celebrate his wife that had stood with him is something. The courage and the will to postpone the event because of Wigwe's death is another thing. God knows best.

See how dumb you are! Was he sacked by RCCG? How was he used and dumped? Is it wrong for the church to take disciplinary actions?

Those are the words of a journalist not a constitution. Just like businesses, churches measure success in different dimensions; revenue, membership, building size etc
.

Nah.
Church isn't a business, even though some unscrupulous elements may make it look like so.

Membership of a church in my opinion doesn't equate to a successful church.

Indeed, there is nothing like a successful church.... As far as true Christianity is concerned.

Perhaps, another term can be used for that.
One can say, ' a big church' or a small church.

Successful has a lot to do with money and riches and this isn't th purpose of a church.

A top pastor can celebrate his wife rccg is not saying the party should be postponed but why not Godly celebrations, why can't COD choristers, Nathaniel bassey, frank edwards, mercy chinwo, pst kunle Ajayi, and other top Christian artists minister there, why flavor. Why rascals at the party? Yet in church you will present yourself as a true servant of God. The way the woman even dressed to the party I have never seen her dressed like that to church. You can't serve God and mammon. He who stands should take heed Lest ye fall

. Na because of people like you that why Nigeria keep churning out people without natural affection for their fellow men. And that is one major reason why our religion practices are devoid of power because men lack sincere and genuine love. Love is not selfish. Love show empathy. The Iluyomade's are Wigwes pastor. Ki day hold your peace if you don't know what u are saying.

Wigwe was not the only member of theirs that has passed, and isn't the only one they pastored.
Many have passed before him, and many more will pass after him
That is the cycle of life
I'm sure several other devoted, commited members who gave their time to the church but may not have had his level of wealth and influence have died in that same church but I guess their lives are not as important as Wigwes and nobody deemed it worthy to cancel anything for them.
The only reason this is an issue is because Wigwe was an elite.
Hypocrisy no go finish una

I asked the same question initially until I spoke to a deacon friend from the parish, try find out what Wigwes sacrificed for the church, you will be speechless. Yes, every soul should be mourned irrespective of what they gave, but those that willingly gave should be noted

Others willingly gave.

Ever heard of the widows mite?

Is it only billions and millions that you have empathy for?

Again, is wigwes soul, life and death worth more than that of others in the same parish that died within the same period?

What have we turned xtianity to?
Subject to the highest bidder?

If you like say I want her to wait 5yrs

Then you are truly hung up on the opium.

There should be no impartiality in the body of christ.

Wigwe is or was just a member.

If his death should stop a birthday of a non relative, then birthdays should be bummed generally cos every bleeping week, a parish looses a member and life goes on.

Remove the log from your eyes before you pull the stick out of others.

Jesus dined with people who were not Christians. The first time Jesus performed a miracle was at a wedding. The bible did not say it was that of a religious leader. People ate , drank, and had a good time at the wedding.
The pastor and his wife celebrated the party with people you feel are not Christians. If you had been alive when Jesus walked on earth, I hope you would not have joined the Pharisees and Sadducees to criticise Jesus.

People talking about the Igwe’s being large financiers of the church forget something. The Bible says to not tell a rich man come and sit in this prominent seat, and the poor man sit in this insignificant one. Poor people have died in the church. No one stopped their plans because of them. Why should the rich be treated differently.

Jesus talked about a poor woman who gave her last coin as an offering. He said even though her offering was so small, it was seen as more than the huge offerings by the rich. Hers was a sacrifice while theirs was a drop in the ocean of their wealth. I am sure the pastor and his wife would definitely have mourned with the Igwe family. But to treat them based on the size of their contributions would have been so wrong.

End of my epistle!!

May God bless you richly.

I couldn't have said it better.

Hypocrisy no go kill Christianity.

Sir, I beg to differ sir..

You are one of those that give this mission bad name. Did you also mention that literally a few percent of whatever comes into the church is remitted? You didn't mention that sir, and you are or were an admin oo..

Pls let's stop all this habits.
If you were under a pastor that loved money that's not a licence to judge the church as a whole.
The percentage of what goes up as people used to say is less than 40% of whatever comes in..

I think our pastors need to do better and stop giving this mission a bad name.
Am disappointed at this comment.
oga I can't speak of what I don't know when you take 100% of congregation tithes and 100% of Minister's tithes Wetin come remain that's means the church is empty if you want me to go into details I will oOoOO because I can't speak of what I don't know of but of things i have handled for years

If it was a family member that died, would the wife had continued with the party because they had spent that money to prepare for it?

On the other hand, if it was a humble member of the parish that passed away, would she not have continued her party without anyone batting an eyelid?

Neither side of this issue have any moral high ground to claim.

He and his wife were under the umbrella of "Redeem", they have now decided to remove themselves as is their right so nothing spoil.

This is not the last we would here of him and his wife, I just hope the oncoming fight over that "franchise" building is not too dirty.

You better believe his wife is playing a huge part in what has unfolded, humility has departed from most Nigerian Pastors and their wives, a real shame.

Stop bad mounting RCCG.

There will be multiple GO's, all squabbling against each other. That is when it will be clear that Redeem takes other things more seriously than The Bible and salvation.

Where did they use and dump him? Instead of you to speak against the act of this Pastor you are diverting from the real issues. Pastors will preach in church to accept chastisement but can't act the same way.

If truly, he is a man of God, should his response be to resign? Fine, Redeem has its problem but let's tell ourselves the truth, many of these men of God don't follow the leading or guidance of God, rather, they are more concerned about themselves and themselves alone.

Pastors should not do worldy songs I told you abinitio, more over why should the subject invite someone to do worldy song on their birthday?

so humanity should be ignored and only things that deals with the spirit should be digested right and again I never said "we are the world" is gospel. I am trying to prove a point that u can listen to a song that is not gospel provided it doesn't have wordings that are bad. Songs like don't worry be happy shouldn't be bad for a pastor to listen.
