ReesheesuKnack: That's a no brainer. You know how the UK election system works and that the bottom line is you're ultimately voting for your MP who will represent your constituency in parliament. So if your current MP is hardworking and effective, keep them in. My constituency is projected to vote a different way to the national projection which I am happy about because at a local level I want this party to continue to represent my area as I think they are more aligned to our needs/values and so far I have no issues with the way their office is run. So I will likely vote tactically to keep them in while I hope/expect for a different outcome at national level. 2 Likes |

jedisco: Interesting how the current government is now seeing migrants as a convenient goose to pluck. Well, in line with the theory of turkeys and Christmas, I shall certainly not be voting Tory, no matter how much the rest of their platform might otherwise have made some sense to me. LibDem all the way. EluDee till 2034. 4 Likes |

Hello Everyone, Please pardon me if this has been asked in the previous pages. If you enter the UK with a skilled worker as Healthcare Assistant, your employer license revoked, can one get another sponsorship in another route while you are in the UK, or must be the same health care. Thanks Zahra29: |

Zahra29: I ll support 2 times whatever they are proposing. Millennials like me and Gen z cannot afford even 1 house and you have 2? Tax it till the pips squeak. It's a basic human need not a business opportunity Lol. You know I ll always support a wealth tax. Everybody should pay tax. Small fish fetch small firewood, big fish fetch big firewood. |

If you enter the UK with a skilled worker as Healthcare Assistant, your employer license revoked, can one get another sponsorship in another route while you are in the UK, or must be the same health care. You can switch to a Skilled Worker job if another employer wants to sponsor you and you qualify for it, and then get the new job. Your current sponsorship is tied to your current job. A new job means a new sponsorship. [/quote] 1 Like |

missjekyll: Missjekyll, you’ve really changed oh… It’s amazing what the UK can do to someone. A few years ago, the same you - on another thread was happy with recession (in Nigeria) because it allows you to use small money to purchase massive pieces of land. You were happy with recession because it allows you to accumulate money that you would otherwise not have accumulated. Yet in the UK, you have now become an advocate of the poor. I wonder what will happen if every single profit you make on your T.Bills is taxed at the same rate you are wishing for people with 2 houses to be taxed. Is it a crime to own property? If the source of income is legit, genuine and moral? Why should Miss B be vexed that Ms C saved money, denied herself some luxuries, invested the money and purchased a Buy-to-let house? I really want to understand the reasoning. E be like say for where you dey, Jeremy Corbyn dey play. Maybe you wish for the UK to become a 100% socialist economy? 12 Likes |

missjekyll: Financialisation of shelter and other necessities in the UK is beyond these tweaks. Only way to go is more housing - building up or on the so called grey belt and brownfield. And ending Right to Buy in England. |

Please your explanation is not clear to me. What I am saying is if one enter the UK with a skilled worker as Healthcare and employer license revoked, is it allowed to get another sponsorship on another route a different sector aside from the Healthcare you entered with initially or it must be the same healthcare. I hope you get what I trying to explain please thanks bns4eva: |
Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by ReesheesuKnack: 7:37pm On Jun 11 |
Christabeliciou: You can apply, and get another sponsorship in ANY field of your choice. ANY field at all, provided you meet the requirements. For example, if Barclays Bank wishes to give you a new sponsorship, that’s fine. If No 10 Downing Street advertises for a Special Adviser to Rishi Sunak and you meet the requirements and they have sponsor license, they can sponsor. If an Indian restaurant wishes to employ you as a Sous chef, and the my have license… cool. Heck, you can even work on the railways provided your employer has sponsorship licence. 5 Likes |

babajeje123: What set is your friend part of? Jan 2023? I read some have lodged legal appeals…pls how does that work? I know someone whose student visa has expired last week. The school told him to leave in 24hrs but nothing yet from the Home office. He’s owing some tuition fees, but even if he finds the money, he’s not sure whether to pay them as he’s already an overstayer. @All, what’s best way forward? Lodge an appeal? Note he’s still awaiting dissertation results. |

BouharryArtikou: Awwwww, you noticed. Yes , I did change. It's been 4 years and I ve now fully grown into my skin. Personal growth is awesome and I recommend it to everyone. If your Buy to let bought with hardearned money is used to push the price of houses ,push up rent, worsen urban drift because young people cannot buy houses. Literally delay people's lives because they cannot get married, have kids because no space? Then I will support a heavy tax on it as a deterrent. Some things should not be run like businesses. Housing is one of them, health is another. It doesn't even grow the economy because nobody is doing business just buying up houses and tying up money for decades. It's the small small taxes from millions of tiny transactions that keep the economy ticking over. 2 Likes |

Jamesclooney: He's not yet an overstayer until the Home Office has contacted him and given him an official visa curtailment date. He should engage intensively with the school, follow any appeal/ review procedure they have, etc. |

Jamesclooney: As others have said, his best option is to find the outstanding fees somehow and plead with the university to reinstate him on that basis. Once reinstated, he can request an extension if he is still waiting for his results. He needs to move super fast as there is sometimes a 14 day grace period from visa expiration, so he's got about 1 week to get an extension from the school. He won't be able to switch to any other visa route in -country if he doesn't officially complete his studies, which is why it's key that he is able to resume and finish. 1 Like |
Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Zahra29: 8:28pm On Jun 11 |
Cyberknight: This applies if a visa is revoked before its expiration. In other cases, an individual will automatically become an overstayer if they do not renew or switch their visa before it expires, Home Office will not send reminders or official notices. 2 Likes |

Please can anybody here help with the UK primary school syllabus? Kids are only given home works relating to English/reading, I have no idea what they being taught in mathematics and other subjects. This information is important for home study. The curriculum which is available on the government website is too generic and offers no insights at all into individual subjects. Thanks all. |
