Back to yesterday and what I said about quality dipping.
BlueRayDick and izzou the difference between international kellogs and kellogs Nigeria is because of this tolaram group.
That's my fear.

The rest of the world will talk about our crime.
Let them.
You are a government agency. Your msg is not to hint at your citizens commiting crimes outside of Nigeria.
LEAVE that for unofficial people like APC minions to do.

Your msg is to ensure your citizens appear to be the best thing after heaven whenever you want to drop any information relating to such a topic.
It has to be very very deliberate.

You are literally saying u don’t want a government agency to do the job it was established to do.

Maybe they should just scrap the immigration service then . grin

I hope you know Nigerian Fanta and the Fanta in the US market are not the same ?

When products are made under franchise , they don’t necessarily have the same taste/flavour with the same product in other countries in the international market .

The crux of the matter yesterday was that the Guinness being produced in Nigeria as at today will definitely not change taste/quality because nothing has changed except for the ownership of the shareholdings in the company.

It’s not like Tolaram will come up with their own Guinness formula going forward . They will still be using every ingredients being used by Guinness Nigeria in the right quantity so far they will still be producing under the Guinness franchise name.

Tolaram will decide how they want to make Guinness going forward.
But the kellogs example is there for you because prior to when tolaram took over, there wasn't a difference in quality and now there is a difference in quality.
I'm sure they had access to the same ingredients before and immediately after acquisition.

But make we dey watch😁

It's not necessary or needed.

I just went through UK visa and immigration page on Twitter, nothing of such rubbish like Nigeria immigration posted,we all know English football fans are not the best of travellers, they always make trouble everywhere they go but their immigration are not throwing them under the bus...

That rubbish from our immigration is the reason embassies will keep treating us anyhow and we will continually be asked to step aside from other travellers, grilled at every airport with nigerian passport...

But I gave you an example.
If you give me an example of tolaram making a purchase and the product quality has stayed the same then I'll be abit more confident.

You ain't been paying attention my man. You telling me Hollandia tastes same way it used to taste? Abi na the taste of their pineapple and coconut nectar? In fact this month, my wife has been complaining bitterly about the taste change in taste of Hollandia evap...I checked to confirm, it was horrible...I want to believe it was just a bad batch or they meant it and would give themselves brain once people stop buying the Hollandia evap. I can confirm these ones cause these are their products I frequent, or used to frequent....even that their chi exotic in can, the taste now wasn't the taste as of like 2022/2021.

Just know that with this acquisition, all bets are off, it may change or not, or may change sometime in the next couple years when renewed hope reaches its peak.

U are missing the point. The UK passport is one the most sought after in the world. They don’t have any battered image they need to redeem so what’s the point of advising their citizens over such petty misdemeanors like hooliganism which the host country can always arrest them for and slam them for ?

Nigeria passport has been battered by drug trafficking issues , child and women trafficking and other major crimes like cultism.

Nigeria immigration advising its citizens to not further deny the already battered image of the country is definitely not out of place . If we refuse to tell ourselves the truth , then who will ?

They are a government agency.
Your job is to ensure in the eyes of the world, Nigerians are the best.
The statement that we behave like that when we travel out is stupid my guy.
But we actually behave like that
I don't see why calling a spade a spade is an issue
We engage in all listed there but to what end

Yoruba will say you are accused of stealing and you still playing with baby goat, we need to address and change our mindset when traveling outside the country
He's right we are the first ambassador because whatever we do will be use to potray the country
I watched a video yesterday on tictok a lady was delayed at the entrance to a country just because she's carrying naija passport and they want to thorough search her
Imagine the embarrassment and innocent Nigerian is getting because of some bad ones

Just be open minded and follow abike dabiri, you will see the shit she go through just to protect or remove some assholes that have sworn to remain criminals

Just look at the recent young girls trafficked to Ghana, 3 blood sisters that their lives was thrown away, the guy that trafficked them have his blood sister there to
Just imagine the desperation these people go through just to make money

Which one tastes the same? Hollandia for sure has a different taste, as with the other ones I mentioned. Their Chivita 100% no sugar has maintained taste, so maybe that's the one you based your assessment on, but these other ones I mentioned have changed taste.

Your Tolaram example was off point.

Kelloggs was a foreign manufacturer of cereals that never had presence in Nigeria until they had a joint venture with Tolaram to produce Kellogg’s products for West African market.

Do u know what the bolded means ? It means they specifically came up with products for our market. It’s not like they bought an already established Kellogg’s producing business , then stepped down the quality of the products like u are making it seem.

That’s why ur Kellogg’s example holds no water in this case.

Social media handlers for most of these government agencies are more often than not over zealous, unprofessional and lacking in the basic etiquette of their roles. They handler for that page could have simply advised we maintain good behavior and obey the rules of host countries instead of going about listing crimes...that bit just made the message crass.
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 10:32am On Jun 12
Tolaram is a 75 year old multinational with a diverse portfolio

To hear all these naysayers you would think it was izzou and sons that took over Guinness Nigeria.

A lot of weird arguments claiming that international products are the same across board

Nigerian Fanta was impounded in the uk
SA corollas are different from America corollas

The Guinness sold in Nigeria is definitely not the exact same composition as the guiness sold in ireland

In addition to this there is already an existing infrastructure, process and oversight from the brand owner.

Anyways I don't drink so maybe I should not be bothered. Let izzou and Blu-ray (two mostly neutral guys who dey shayo) give us the verdict on June 12 next year

Following the experience of the guy arrested for carrying a laser pointer, abike dabiri issued a communique advising Nigerians not to carry laser pointers in hand luggage in the Netherlands. Is that also overzealous?

Side-by-Side Diageo, Tolaram could as well be Izzou and Sons. There's nothing to celebrate in "tier 1" companies leaving the country in droves.

Shoprite is a good case for the arguments here as they were bought over by a fully Nigerian owned concern and their standards have gone south. Today the only thing I buy from there is soft drinks.

Also in the case of chi products I always go to a chi shoppe because that is where you will get the very best price.

I think we owe ourselves the truth on these matters. As recent as last week people were still caught with drugs trying to smuggle enroute Saudi for Hajj.

Just this last week a video of some girls trafficked to Ghana for prostitution circulated all over the internet . The world is not blind to these things .

We should tell our own people the honest truth in our own space so they don’t go out there and spoil show for me an u.

I agree with u that some of the official twitter handlers sometimes may be quite unprofessional in the way they communicate their messages tho

That's specific, relevant and not scatter-gun, I won't class that as overzealous assuming she didn't present it in Usual Abike Dabiri fashion. My point is more about elements of their presentation that gives village town-crier or some overbearing elder.

Well, this is news to me.
We had a group discussion last year and it was there even myself found out Chi has been bought over by Coca Cola. We all agreed on how the product remained same even after change of ownership.
