That made me 😆.

Honestly, I've seen him constituting a nuisance on various threads without discrimination.

He's just upset with me because I told him no one was interested in his supposed pics flying first class, and whether he's been to SA previously, on thread that was completely unrelated to travel, also in the family section.

He's had a boner for me since then.

Woah, memories, same school. I remember a woman been the owner, one Mr Ben-a computer teacher and the school's life-of-the-party, and Mr Francis-the French teacher then...

I said in the town o. Not outside the town. No matter the level of roughness of the FESTAC boys they run when Awori and Agboju amuwo boys show up.

Festac boys dey normally dey beat them for football match so you need to discharge before match finish otherwise dem go design your body with broken bottle.

Though we had it FESTAC boys that were bad and schooling in those rough schools it was just that we had respect and fear for our parents then, the neighborhood was well cultured and even FHA then was really working
As for football the town get am in abundance, do you know that Victor Agali was nobody, the guy no de smell field when my bros who are his age mates where playing back then
But the day the guy land town with one bad BMW then it was party time
FESTAC college had the popular Ekpeyong a bad goal stopper and the Oliseh family

There used to be one notorious dude then by name Scoro,I think he lives around 22 Road.

The whole of Festac knew that guy in the early 90s.

SKULL RAW na small boy anytime he de pass our close, even JOHN SCATTER de humble am anytime the real legend of FESTAC Town was SUZUKI the Alaye father

You don remind me of FHA 😄.

You're right about the football. Fields full every corner to play football and use trailer tires and planks for acrobatics - big boss and sumersugar.

I understand those Fields have now been repurposed.

Cars were not much back then too. We could use the ending of the street to set goal posts with stones.

Thieves were rare and whenever it became pronounced we'd start rotational vigilante. Every house participates in night watch. Crazy.

yes, exactly but that arcade was not upstairs but down

There was @GboyegaD confirmed it. It was Madhouse. The one downstairs inside Video Mart wasn't an arcade; just had consoles and TVs

There was also another with just console at the FHA club on 22 road back then. I think I preferred the one at 322/41 road more. It had an ice cream store opposite so after wasting your money, you console yourself by buying ice cream to manage the pains.

I guess I wasn't just too good then and could only play well from player 1 on the joystick. Now at work, I have access to multiple games but I only play street fighter and street of rage.

You see the painting aspect, I remember back then that the residence of each block are the ones that contributed to paint like every December in 101, B close

I am guessing you have forgotten the road you lived or it was a typographical error as 101 Road does not have closes.

Festac Town has lost its glory. Bad roads and shops everywhere. Almost all ground floor of block of flats have been converted to business centres. Duplexes are not left out in the madness. The last time Festac Town had a good serenity of environment was in the early 2000s.

I miss the town though cos I was born and bred there.

Oh my darling festac town
I miss that town
I miss their faces
You can't erase
You can't replace it
Seeing this topic on NL
I miss the town afresh
Born n bread
From Tender touch to Festac college
So hard to stay
Too hard to leave it
If I could relive those days
And bring them back the good ol'days

If you say so. Have been visiting festac since 1994 because my aunt lives in 111 road then and my other aunty is in 201 or so, the one close to that Mr Bigs when you enter through first gate. But where I spent most of my time in then is 111 road
