larride: I watched the video of a man who was detained at the point of entry in the US by boarder patrol officers . At a point I felt like crying for the bros. Alaye was working in one of the regulatory agencies in the oil and gas sector in naija . The way they perused him, delayed him and harassed him simply cos he flew in with a naija passport was disheartening . They ransacked his belongings and thought he probably bribed his way past our immigration and has cocaine on him to transport to the US. His ID card as a staff of a FG owned agency didn’t save him. If immigration is doing their job, I don’t think we Nigerians should be castigating them |

DeadPresidents: Tomorrow when a married Nigerian want to apply for permanent residence and they start scrutinizing the marriage certificate, they will say its because of the passport and not the consequence of the actions of some people. Look at UK before this recent immigration policy, Nigerians were so brazen with the "proof of funds" syndicate. Some were even advertising the crime on the internet. It got to a point that border control at the UK had to start verifying that you indeed have the money in your account before allowing you pass (This means student will be pulled aside and then delayed unnecessarily). |

GloriousGbola:Na the Koko of the matter be this. The same people that defended and continue to defend someone that forfeited money to the US government because of his involvement with the drug business are the same ones justifying embarrassing treatment of almost every Nigerian because of the crimes of a few like Tinubu. 11 Likes |

larride: I have relatives who in the past did the whole brother /sister is husband and wife scam to enter the US. So today you will have to do a DNA test to confirm everyone is who they say they are. |

BlueRayDick: Prosper say did we commit crime more than China or India, ask him how many Chinese them don catch for armed robbery and cultist related violence in Dubai or even Indians. The most painful one is that Sychelles. 6 month before the Visa ban for holiday and short duration visas, Nigeria and Sychelles had sign a flight agreement that enabled direct flight between both country and it was visa free for 30 days for Nigerians. What did Nigerians started doing? Importing drugs. https://www.icirnigeria.org/why-seychelles-imposed-travel-ban-on-nigerian-passport-holders/ Very nonsense behavior. 3 Likes 1 Share |

larride: Most Nigerians love lying to themselves. The major reason for Nigeria presently having a poor image worldwide ain't really because of our polithiefcians sef.... It's mostly the work of the unruly citizens that's punishing us with these persecution. Everything we love to blame it on the government and fail to acknowledge our own role in the grand scheme of things. With this behaviour, and attitude to national matters we no dey go anywhere. Cause someone would spring from somewhere with whataboutism saying wetin our govt sef dey do, what of so so so politician. These lack of accountability, we ain't going anywhere, still running around circles cos no one wants the truth. Let's even ask ourselves common sense questions, how many of our politicians or diplomatic members do these their immigration, law enforcement or airport officials interact with? No be the same fellow commoners them go interact with? So in essence the image of the country mostly lies on the hands of the citizenry. Other things from govt to govt interaction na jara. 6 Likes 1 Share |

BlueRayDick: This is one of the funny things with whataboutism arguments. You dey compare us with countries that are basically the industrial powerhouse of the world. In which realm do you think Nigeria and India or China have the same passport influence?? Imagine comparing Nigeria with a permanent UNSC member with absolute veto powers. Or India that the whole Europe and US is lobbying to replace China as the world global industrial factory, cos of their fight and fear of impending Chinese dominance. Comparing these two countries becomes more funny sef due to their sheer population. Both of them already has almost half the entire human population. Also India has a high percentage of diasporans. So the numbers would be traditionally high in comparison to crime rate. India might be classified as a poor country, but in no realm are they close to Nigeria in terms of HDI or economic development or global leverage. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

liveLongNprospa: There is a very wide margin between products that are foreign made, and the same that are locally made (I mean for edibles) The Guinness that you are talking about is made in a very old warehouse along Oba Akran; already locally made Kelloggs was made abroad, before Tolaram got the licence. Na two different things |

iamoyindamola: I stopped watching Macaroni a long time ago. I scroll pass his skits anywhere I come across them. He does nothing but sexualizing women and I don't really find him funny one bit. I get the fact that Layi is witty and all, but as far as funny skit making is concerned; Nasboi is the GOAT. He's like Kizz Daniel of skit makers; NO BAD SKIT 2 Likes |
