Goke7:Me I Port follow Peseiro when I saw how our defense was like a wall of Gibraltar. Impregnable. Charlesemeka85 convince me say fancy football will not take us nowhere. The only snag with Peseiro was that the structure he played requires utmost physical exertion and he did not properly rotate his team. 4 Likes |

lovewins: You're not the coach and you noticed this that means you're intelligent and also that local coaches like Finidi rely on luck and hope to win matches and S.E is in trouble with such coaches.. When I saw Onyedika's goal I thought Finidi or one of his coaches would have the intelligence of telling the players to use the wings to misdirect Benin players then pass the ball to the Penalty Arc of the Benin box and tell one of the players to roam around the penalty arc the same way Foden or De Bruyne roams there... S.E obviously don't do offensive drills in training.. but they should at least show urgency and intent the way Super Falcons play... Another thing is Alhassan Yusuf, Onyeka and Onyedika are meant to be starting players and un-benchable.. S.E needs DMs like Ucheibe , Deborah Abiodun and Ayinde that will chase and track players and only Onyeka, Yusuf and Nwakali mark that way... Nwakali is an abomination on this thread. 6 Likes 1 Share |

chidekings:This is just the point. It's not a matter of competence. We are simply not mature to believe in a local coach. Even the local coaches themselves don't inspire faith. A white man even if he's on the same level of competence with our local coach, he not on the same level of authority with them. White men usually command more authority. Call it colonial mentality if you like. I'm sure even many of us believe more in whitey than our own. Without authority, no matter how competent or knowledgeable you go just dey TheGoodJoe talking sweet theories. When them punch you for mouth like Benin punch Finidi, you'd get confused and start making thoughtless substitutions. 2 Likes |

Yes I gave kudos to Okoye for his outstanding performances with Udinese but get it clear Okoye is not better than Nwabali. Yes I agreed with you on Nwakali. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Odunayaw:I thought you were an FG backer. Ultimately if he fails again during the AFCON qualifiers, they may fire him then and it would be almost too late for a new coach. |

elyte89: Not that we can win but you see this Man City pattern wey Una wan play all these playing through the middle for where the players no dey available or those that can’t shoot na there wahala Dey. The countries we are playing won’t have respect for all those tiki taka nonsense. Every African country wants to be at the World Cup especially now with the nine slots Africa has. If our players are not ready to get their hands and legs dirty forget it. If they want to save their leg for their clubs in Europe they shouldn’t bother to come and play, they will collect nicely 2 Likes 1 Share |

Mujtahida: There is no conjecture. Amunike's work with the U20 was where my admiration for Amunike was drawn. They did not qualify but his approach was fantastic. Also, we can view his coaching, and playing pattern. And, finally, we have seen some of the extent of his imaginative idea. So Mr. Go and Rest Jare. What were your reasons of picking Finidi? It is about training and approach. Finally, we have little 1 Like |

TheSuperNerd: I miss Amodu. On both occasions he did it on rescue mission - when other mess up. Unfortunately, each time he qualifies after Afcon third place finish, the tiki taka crew will mount pressure on a willing NFA to recruit a foreign coach (for perceived cutback). 1 Like |

Goke7: Na wah. All of a sudden, Nigeria can not shoot shot from long range. The same Nigeria that we had U17 boys hitting shots like flying carpets from the time of John Obuh to Manu Garba and even Amunike. We need to get back to taking our training seriously and scouting. 1 Like |

In other news, Beyond Limit that used to be the youth team of Remo Stars until it evolved into its own entity just gained promotion into the NPFL. 3 other clubs including Ikorodu City, Elkanemi Warriors and Nasarawa United all gained promotion into the NPFL next season. We now have 2 new private clubs in the NPFL, hoping that Sporting Lagos do not relegate. What's more impressive to me is the fact that Beyond Limit did this with young boys. If you know the NPFL, you'll see it's littered with egbon adugbos and players very well advanced in age. Beyond limit however had a young roster and still gained promotion. Kunle Soname is doing fantastic work there. 9 Likes 1 Share
