Emaprince: For a PH/Uniport boy, Sabinus comedy will always be undefeated probably because everything (slang, vicinity, stereotypes) is relatable af. A Lagos boy will probably prefer Lasisi/Layi/Nasboi humor more Humour is extremely contextual. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

BlueRayDick:Macaroni's character is a parody, a satirical take on a "sugar daddy" figure often seen in Nigerian society. The intent behind his skits is not to sexualize women, but to highlight the absurdity and humor in these interactions. By focusing on Macaroni's repeated failures and the way he is constantly scammed, the skits are actually flipping the script and it has nothing to do with sexualizing women at all he is the one being ridiculed, not the women. With his continuous misfortune and the cleverness of the women who outsmart him. Macaroni is also a very fantastic Actor. He also said in one of his Interview that he is an actor not a skit maker. Comedy is very subjective what i like is different from what you like Brother Shaggy is one of the most viewed skit makers in Nigeria (arguably in Africa too), and I can't relate to his comedy at all. I have been to many African countries, and the names that always pop up are Brother Shaggy, Macaroni, and MarkAngel. 15 Likes 2 Shares |

izzou: Does Layi make you laugh out loud or just impresses you. Layi impresses me with his word play, I don't find him funny. |

akwesenana: I funny pass Lasisi I give him like 10%, Sabinus dey try for me like 75% of his jokes gets me. The few of Layi Wasabi dey funny I give him like 75%. Maybe na because of how funny he even looks sef Nasboi I have not seen a lot of his for me to judge him Among the OG, Na Basket mouth and sometimes Bovi i still gbadun pass. "I go dye" jokes of ajepako vs Ajebutter, Warri vs City kids is overdone AY I wonder who told him to be a comedian? 3 Likes |

My current favourite skit maker is a northerner by the name of Dan Bello. Handle is @BelloGaladanchi on Twitter (Fück Apartheid Mvsk) His political satirisation is world class. Nigga cooks the northern elite class daily and regularly juxtaposes educational standards in the next world superpower (China) and the sad situation of the most stärkly illiterate part of the country. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Singapore1: All this long talk is equal to= Macaroni skits are not funny . And yes he sexualizes women. He makes sure the girls he goes for as co-actors in those skits are actually known IG baddies who bares it all on their respective pages. If what he’s doing is satire , then it is a failed attempt at satire . Maybe he’s a good actor in other genres but u see the character he portrays in those skits ; it is a forced one . It neither emits laughter from me nor does it pass the intended message |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by afrodoc2: 5:37pm On Jun 12 |
IMO there is no GOAT skit maker. Every dog has got its day. Many of them have funny and also not so funny skits, though there a few of them that i almost never find funny at all. |

afrodoc2: Honestly I like Macaroni as a person and as an activist. But u see that comedy wey he dey do? No be am at all. In the nollywood movies I've watched him act in, he did really well. His comedy on the other hand seems forced. |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Amigoss: 5:43pm On Jun 12 |
Ibime: Remove his hype man,He belongs to the Carter efe genre of skit ,na the mumuness go make you laugh |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Singapore1(m): 5:44pm On Jun 12 |
afrodoc2: e go be hatred. It's okay for everyone not to like a certain comedian. Brother Shaggy has about 350 million views on YouTube, while Macaroni has about 210 million views, and that's not counting his second channel. Nasboi, who he is praising, has just 19 million views on YouTube. While an excuse can be made that Nasboi started his channel in 2020, if you remove his music videos, he averages 4 million views per year. In contrast, Macaroni averages around 20 million views per year, and Brother Shaggy averages 30 million views per year, and he isn't even in my top 20 best skit makers. Just because you don't like a comedian doesn't make them a bad comedian. The numbers don't lie. BlueRayDick: There is also a reason why you used to find them funny but after a while you don't find them funny again. skit always need new idea 3 Likes |

raumdeuter: it is very subjective. i also don't find him funny at all but .... doesn't mean he didn't use to have good videos. I used to like him during DJ Cuppy era. but when you are known for same thing over and over, people just get tired .. IsBaeu who used to be the king of twist, eventually people got tired |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Singapore1(m): 5:53pm On Jun 12 |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 5:53pm On Jun 12 |
Singapore1: Me find Macaroni funny and Shaggi funny ? when ? Those two guys don't have what it takes to make an average joe laugh abeg. Your response to afrodoc is u talking about number of views; nothing concern me with who get views pass. This is actually a dicussion about the comic act who makes people laugh with their skit not Shaggy jumping up and down or Macaroni in his agbada making passes at known and aspiring IG baddies. |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 5:56pm On Jun 12 |
Singapore1: Which kind talk be this sef? We are dicussing comic acts who are actually funny with their contents not who's got more views. What u are doing is like we discussing the best Footballers in the EPL and u mentioning James Milner because he's played in the EPL for as long as anybody can remember |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by iamoyindamola(m): 5:57pm On Jun 12 |
BlueRayDick:First of all he’s not a rated king Secondly you either barb your hair to kondo style or stay away from there, no matter the level of kings If you are in Rome behave like them |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 5:57pm On Jun 12 |
Singapore1: Some of Shaggy's comedy are things that will appeal to those with "low threshold to laugh" (if there is a thing like that) all those removing your shirt, dancing silly, unfunny voice overs etc most girls will find it funny and hit subscribe. But men wey their face strong and no get joy naturally, you need to come correct Imagine core street guy to make those ones laugh with regular jokes will be hard, Unlike all those ajebor pikin wey you comot shirt alone to fight don dey funny to them |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Singapore1(m): 5:59pm On Jun 12 |
BlueRayDick: You can't compare football. They are two different thing. Views is how you measure acceptance rate. If they are not funny nobody is going to watch them. It is as simple as that 2 Likes |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 6:04pm On Jun 12 |
iamoyindamola: He’s not a rated king bawo ? He’s actually a first class Oba . Oluwo of Iwo is a first class Oba in Osun state and not some lower class Oba. It is the town that messed up making an ex-convict the king after all. The guy should not have gone on that pilgrimage . He just useless the tradition with that move . He’s the first Yoruba king I will see his bare head since I was born . |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 6:09pm On Jun 12 |
Singapore1: Like u didn’t see people’s comment above saying they haven’t really heard much about Nasboi before now ? . A poster up there confirmed he went to YouTube to check his videos and he agreed the guy is good . There’s no way u want to claim Macaroni or Shaggy are better comic acts than Nasboi that’s why they have more views than him. Even Macaroni and Shaggy will not agree they are better at making people laugh than Nasboi. Having more social media views does not in any way mean u are more talented than others . Even AY who is the driest comedian in Nigeria has more followers than a lot of younger artists with more talents |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Taguchi: 6:11pm On Jun 12 |
Singapore1: Well, like you said humour is subjective But then I think the reason these guys you mentioned have such large following is because they have been in the game for long.na their longevity (which is commendable) make them get such number not necessarily the quality of their content. Men like crazeclown, mark angel, shagi and macaroni were the trailblazers and already had a solid fanbase long before some of these guys began. |
