Some states only source of revenue is through federal goverment. Even if the governors of those states pay themselves minimum wages, there is not enough money to go around. Even if the Senators, Reps , and local goverment decide to pay themselves mimimum wage , the money will still not be enought. The bitter truth is Nigeria does not have money- like before. Gone were those good days, Lagos state Governor and those who are running Lagos state should prioritize making electricity 16 hours a day. Businesses cannot grow if electricity is poor, no business , no money. No money , minimum wages cannot go up

Any State governor that says he is not generating internal Revenue is a crook.Dont they have transport ministry that are generating revenue from Okada riders,Keke riders and buses in their states?ministry of health that grant licences to hospitals, pharmacies and drug supplies in their states? They also have officials who collect levies from traders. They have hotels, banks, shops and house that pays land use charges.Them plenty.
Even Lagos Lastma whose duty is controlling traffic is generating revenue for Lagos State government. If them arrest you for violating traffic that they deliberately arranged the driver will pay heavy fine and his vehicle auction.

Obi is one of the highest importer of goods to Nigeria. If he truly believe in production, why did he not partner with at least one of the companies he import their product to Nigeria and set up a company, manufacturing their product. He is just a conman. He would have been the worst president. A tribal and religious bigot.

Ok so what percentage of the work force are they going to lay off? If that's not an option are they going to start raising taxes? Maybe they'll do what they always 🤷🏿 do and just ignore the minimum wage laws. Ask yourself does the FG ever enforce it on states to begin with. Then ask why if they answer is no.

You import what you can't produce at home.......and what do we produce? No electricity? Bad roads? Multiple taxation? Who we fit compete with?

Bottom line - Nigeria don break final!

lol how, I am not against Minimum wage to be N100000 If that you are assuming. All I am saying is Nigeria does not have money like before . if Nigeria has money, then why is Nigeria burrowing money? if Nigeria has enough money , many states should be able to pay at 60k without problem. It is easy to generate information on data, but reality say otherwise. If Nigeria has money , business are thriving., people should able afford food. The country does not generate enough electricity for businesses and businesses fail as a result of poor electric output and other factors. when businesses cannot make profit, they fail or manage to survive. With time they relocate to their country or leave the country. For example Guinness left Nigeria
