Bunch of clowns (both Federal Government and Labor). The Federal Government hires less than 30% of the entire work force and I am sure States might suffer the impact of a very high minimum wage more; however, the highest chunk of workers are in the private sector and the minimum wage unfortunately in Nigeria does not translate to this sector. This is because the government does not enforce the minimum wage efficiently due to their inefficiencies and the difficult business environment in Nigeria for the private sector. 32 Likes 4 Shares |

There's no money anywhere in nigeria. The only source of income is oil . Nothing more. The only way to generate money is building companies and making already made ones functioning. But why can't them function? Why can't ph refinery work? Why can't ajokuta steel work Why can't textile industry work. Why can't indigenous people doing bunkers be supported with good equipment and be put under product control? The answer is . NIGERIA IS A BUSINESS FEILD OF BRITISH. YOUR REFINERY CANT WORK BECAUSE BRITISH WILL STOP SELLING REFINED PRODUCT TO YOU. EVEN IF PETER OBI BECOMES PRESIDENT. IT WONT STILL CHANGE ANYTHING. NIGERIAN ARE STILL SLAVE 16 Likes 4 Shares |

And in the same country, it is fair enough for a senator to go back home with 29+million every month just for saying hi and nah at least 3 or less times a month..... Ridiculous indeed!!! 18 Likes 2 Shares |

When I said if I were the NLC chairman nothing would have made me call off the strike for negotiations people attacked me. Negotiations would have been on while the strike continues. E bad as E bad I for negotiate collect at least 150k minimum wage. Now they are paying the ‘above/more than 60k’ they promised na. Is 62 not greater than 60? Labour over to you. Legislators are going on recess 9 Likes 1 Share |

But increasing the salaries of lawmakers and judges won't cause job losses Using 20 billion to renovate the VP residence won't cause harm to the economy Using 90 billion to subsidise the Hajj prigrim won't affect the economy. Governors have seen increased budgetary allocation to states but yet many of them are complaining about paying N30,000 minimum wage. Our Governments are so insensitive to the plight if the workers. 13 Likes 2 Shares |

This is a threat by the government to NLC and workers…. In my opinion it is an indirect statement revealing Tinubu plans to conduct mass retrenchment of workers to protect the looting formula between him, his political cronies and the legislooters at the National Assembly…. NLC and TUC leadership made a huge mistake by calling off the strike prematurely without achieving any solid results…. Tinubu will now foot drag presenting a new minimum wage figure to frustrate labor unions efforts at getting a realistic minimum wage passed…. Even N250,000 proposed is still not enough based on current economic realities….. I hope labour union leaders have a plan B on how to proceed now that strike has been called off…. You can not negotiate with a deceitful government headed by a dubious character like Tinubu…. 2 Likes |

The political office holders should also be place on minimum wage. Very simple. How can a senator earning 35-40m couple with stolen money meant for their constituents 7 Likes |
