I thought you were an FG backer. Ultimately if he fails again during the AFCON qualifiers, they may fire him then and it would be almost too late for a new coach.
I had no issues with Peseiro continuing and when that ship sailed I rationally camped with FG as per he was assistant to JPes. Familiar face

Well, the upcoming Afcon qualifiers might be what we need to get our world cup qualifiers up the scratch.

Let's forget about the world cup qualifiers for now and focus on the coming afcon qualifiers.

Winning our Afcon qualifiers will serve as a much needed shot in the arm for the team as it will boost their confidence and give them the belief that they can win again, something I feel is lacking at present.

Also, the Afcon qualifiers can be used to tweak the team to see what formulas and players work before the next WCQ in March next year.

Is d fixtures out for afcon qualifiers?when is it scheduled to hold, I mean the qualifiers?

Theory. Theory. Theory. Finidi was appointed on the basis of his stint as an assistant coach and his having won NPFL. Shey now he's been tested and he's found wanting.

Amunike should be appointed make we rest. Cos I detest all this kind of talk where it is always the one who is not chosen that is always the best. I no dey for theory based on past antecedents. Go and do it. That's my philosophy. I have no judgment whatsoever about Amunike - whether he can do it or not until he does it or does not do it. Miss me with all these u-20 talk.

Give reasons why you preferred Finidi George over Amunike.

None of these guys are getting into England anytime soon. As a result to they will be most likely open to playing for Nigeria.

So also is the same situation with Noni Madueke.

As it stands the NFF had the opportunity to have capped Tosin Adarabayo ages ago. But as usual wasted time, for reason known to them the NFF alone.

We need better CB defenders, the recycling has to stop 🛑.

ugochukwu is in the French Olympics squad tho

Is like you did not read with comprehension. I prefer none above the other. I'm fine with Finidi, I'm fine with Amunike. To me they are the same. Upon Finidi's appointment, I supported him against those of you who felt Amunike was a better choice. If Amunike had been appointed, I'd have supported him against anyone who would have argued that Finidi was a better choice.

My philosophy is just do it. I no dey for theory.

My take is lets stick with finidi and qualify for the next afcon. Forget about world cup. Its no longer in our hands. I expect the NFF to start rebuilding towards 2030. Some players has to go. The team cannot rely on the likes of ndidi and iwobe
This rebuilding of a fhibg sef no day tire una?

I see the talk of captaincy as him trying to push out senior guys. Cos of all things to start a fresh journey, that's what you wana talk about? His moves on this chessboard are all amateurish in sincerity. Na him sabi sha.

Not with WC qualifiers in view. The first step to tackling a problem is to get yourself out of the way.

In other news, Beyond Limit that used to be the youth team of Remo Stars until it evolved into its own entity just gained promotion into the NPFL. 3 other clubs including Ikorodu City, Elkanemi Warriors and Nasarawa United all gained promotion into the NPFL next season. We now have 2 new private clubs in the NPFL, hoping that Sporting Lagos do not relegate.

What's more impressive to me is the fact that Beyond Limit did this with young boys. If you know the NPFL, you'll see it's littered with egbon adugbos and players very well advanced in age. Beyond limit however had a young roster and still gained promotion. Kunle Soname is doing fantastic work there.
I thought Beyond Limits and Remo are owned by the same person. How would they be funded?

Yes they are owned by the same person but they were not registered under the same ownership. So they both technically can play in the league next season. There are rumours however that Soname may sell the slot to another club (potentially Inter Lagos).

I suppose don post all these while but the heartbreak wey this last game gimme almost make me sick. 😷

Another day to remind everyone here that called Victor Osimhen a flop during the AFCON that he is the main force of the Super Eagles team, whether he scores or not. If he's on the team, when he's not scoring, others are scoring and we will hardly lose a match.

Our last 7 games WITH Victor Osimhen - D-W-W-W-W-D-L
Our last 7 games WITHOUT Victor Osimhen - D-D-L-W-L-D-L
The stats are there.

Man scored 7 goals + 3 assists against São Tomé e Príncipe (H&A) and 3 goals against Sierra Leone (H&A) them say na statpad against small teams.

Okay, we played Lesotho (H) (15.00 odds) - 1–1
Zimbabwe (A) (17+ odds) - 1–1
Where the goals? Why another striker no statpad?

When this guy is fit, if there's no Troost-Ekong, make dem give am captain band abeg, even if na temporary.

Osimhen would have rescued the team and covered Finidi's averageness, and we would have thought he is good enough.

Even with the bad results, I don't think the NFF are even planning to fire this man. This match made me sick no cap. You go think say na baby female break my heart.

All Finidi's substitutions that day reeked of naivety, fear and cluelessness. He just dey comot two dey put two. Pep Guardiola and Ten Hag need to go buy new shiny wigs, see how bald head dey waste 🤦🏾‍♂️

Chelsea can spend astronomical amount on lukaku, Fernandez, caicedo, mudrkh etc. it reach Osimhen turn and the club becomes economical. Omo, it seems like only Arsenal , psg and a camel club is interested. The dude shouldn’t had signed a new contract

Amen o.

The thing dey be like prayer point or prophecy for my eye.
Arsenal just need a prolific 9, and shikena, Man City go rest. Gabriel Jesús is not a proper CF. He showed that last season, even against that same Man City (2nd leg).

Football no longer interest me like before.

Is anyone in here experiencing the same?

The game is so much mechanized that you can predict the outcome of the match before kickoff.

No more magic, no more flair. Just some kicking around for 90mins.

Players no longer take personal initiative and do the impossible.
