The sort of balance Rohr gave us protected our goalkeepers. 2019 Daniel Akpeyi couldn't save Mahrez last minute freekick. We switched back to Uzoho, who was average at the world cup in Russia as well. Under Rohr, Okoye had a breakout. Fastfoward from this period. We say Okoye's blunder against Tunisia, we say Uzoho's blunder against Ghana. Rohr might have been lucky but his team's weakness was well managed.
How do you see that benoise side coached by rohr

What does this have to do with anything?

The game is so much mechanized that you can predict the outcome of the match before kickoff.

This was what I was replying to. If the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United can fall off top four, it shows football is even more unpredictable now than before when it was difficult for such to happen.

Finito.

Football no longer interest me like before.

Is anyone in here experiencing the same?

No more magic, no more flair. Just some kicking around for 90mins.

Players no longer take personal initiative and do the impossible.
Go and play PES and create your own football. You whine too much

In other news, Beyond Limit that used to be the youth team of Remo Stars until it evolved into its own entity just gained promotion into the NPFL. 3 other clubs including Ikorodu City, Elkanemi Warriors and Nasarawa United all gained promotion into the NPFL next season. We now have 2 new private clubs in the NPFL, hoping that Sporting Lagos do not relegate.

What's more impressive to me is the fact that Beyond Limit did this with young boys. If you know the NPFL, you'll see it's littered with egbon adugbos and players very well advanced in age. Beyond limit however had a young roster and still gained promotion. Kunle Soname is doing fantastic work there.

If this group of kids can go on to qualify for CAF Champions league, it will go on to help change the face of football in Nigeria. They can easily travel to play for better clubs in Europe, help play in the national teams because of the experience they will get playing or qualifying for a caf competition. The journey starts now because once they do, other clubs will be forced to follow their path. That is having young players who look close to their ages playing the Nigerian league. This will help us in our league a lot. A proper 17 or 18 years old guy playing the NPL for a season. What a great level of experience. Gather them up to play under 20 and with early camping ànd see the wonders they will deliver.

You ehh but you are right sha

A sound foreign coach will qualify the super eagles and possibly world Cup by winning the remaining matches
I have a problem with people thinking coaches work magic by being on the field of play. Nobody remembers the players who play rubbish against the coach’s instruction. When you appoint a foreign gaffer now, its the same ndidi and basset that cost us a defeat that is going to play

They do not have the quality to win the group. But they can build on their win against Nigeria and find the right momentum to ride on. They beat Nigeria on a neutral ground which was supposed to be their home. But don't forget there is also South Africa for them, they lost to south Africa already. And if powerhouse is anything to go by, Nigeria should play better. And if that happens it can upturn the table definitely.

It’s pathetic when majority think by just employing a white TA, we will qualify. Na colonial mentality be that. Most times you will get what you pay for.

This is not the first time it is happening. The 2015/16 season quickly comes to mind. They bounce back to being log leaders.

That's not a case at all

Finidi knew the transfer was around the horizon that was why he kept him around the national team, because I don't see how Ojo would be picked ahead of Uzoho.

Uzoho was the second choice to Nwabali at the AFCON, Maduka returned and Uzoho was sacrificed while leaving Ojo who was the third choice. Ojo was/is not even the best in the NPFL.

Nigerian coaches and using the national team for business na 5and6

How long will it take nff to throw out finidi?
I know you are here as a member of nff reading comments
Are you waiting till few weeks before the next match before bringing in a new coach?
Trying to set him up for failure?

How many times do you want us to do that? He has been approached twice and he said he wasn't ready, and you think he will suddenly be ready now that he has joined Chelsea?

But why is that guy playing guitar chords on our emotions and heart❤️. He should stop wearing our attires if his heart is not with us. We know he is Nigerian and he has every choice to, but we see he is Nigerian and we call him to play for us , only for him to be turning us down and be wearing Nigerian identities on his social media page.

I can see 🙈🙈🙈 you are wise and knowledgeable.

Most creative midfielder in the SE Iwobi came from Nigeria academy and local team. Out best defenders Bassey Aina and Ekong came from Ogborikoko united in Warri.

Out highest goal scorer in the last AFCON Ademola came from where, Ajegunle all stars.

Rohr,Peseiro or any other foreign coaches wouldn't have called up all those jokers that Finidi invited in place of better defenders in Europe,at least.
Not that is a garantee that foreign coaches will give us success but local coaches are less trust worthy especially when it comes to corruption.

Siasia is my most preferred local coach, with five years contract,Siasia will give us at least one AFCON.

I'm talking of players born and bread abroad. That's never step foot on the shores of Africa before not people raised here then went abroad to further their careers

These players u have mentioned with this current super eagles team,
in comparison to our previous teams that is made up of only players born in Nigeria (Tunisia '94 team,2000 silver winning team and 2013 AFCON winning team)
Which team would u say is more formidable and play better football.
This team or the previous teams.

I'm in no way against integration of any foreign born that shows desire and ready to play for us.
