I went for my biometrics in January, I just got a message from ircc asking me to provide more concrete information concerning my bank statement. When I applied I had about 15m in my account which I submitted the bank statement for but I have been making expenses from that same account as I'm a realtor and I recently had my wedding and other personal and career expenses. I currently have about 2.5M in the account and I got this message from them this morning asking me to defend my bank statement within 7 days. What do I do please

I won't advice you to top up account, since you are a business woman, they don't expect your fund to stay idle.

My question to you before advice is that....

Do you use agent or you filled and submitted all your documents yourself?

How much do you claimed you earned monthly and does it correspond with the acct submitted?

Do you submitted a savings or business account?

It not about the amount but the embassy believe that bank account statement you submited is fake...so go back to ur bank to get a letter that the statement is not fake and print the same statement and you be fine!

Hello house, I need your advice. I am currently in Canada and I applied for a visitor visa for my wife back in February 2024. However, we have not heard back from IRCC yet. My study permit is expiring soon, and I will be applying for an extension. Would it be advisable to include my wife in my study permit extension application for another visitor visa? I really need your advice on this. Thanks!🙏🏼

Canada visit visa processing time is 6 months, so your wife's application is still within the timeframe. However, applying for another visa or including her in your visa extension will not affect her visit visa application as one of the application will be canceled. Although the visa officer might consider the applications together( student visa extention and vistor visa) be cautious, as the required documents for a student visa extension differ from those for a visitor visa. Keep in mind that the outcomes of the applications are uncertain and subject to individual assessments

"Specifically, based on checks by this office, it appears you provided non-bonafide Bank Statement". IRCC

To my little understanding, what they are trying to tell you is that you submitted a fake Statement of Account.
So it's now left with you to prove that what you you submitted is truly a genuine one!

My suggestions as follows;

1.) Go to your bank and reprint the one you submitted earlier (not the recent one).

2.) Get it stamped by your bank.

3.) Request for a back-up letter from your bank stating that the statement is authentic.

I come in peace...

They send you a Procedural fairness letter, so you will need to respond with evidence, you dont need to print any more account other than go to your bank and let them give you a letter that your account is genuine on their letter head they will quote the account number, your full name and address

Then you will now back it up with a very good letter too ,i.e that you will never do anything or involve yourself with anything fraud, that with this your integrity is as stake, and that you just got married, and now your wife and some of your associate saw this letter and they begin to have doubt about you,so you need to clear your name

After writing a very good letter go and notarized it,and scan it with the bank own and send it to them

Best of luck

This advice is best you have given above , but it only applies if the applicant is certain they have personally applied and used the bank statement obtained directly from the bank, not through an agent. The reliability of visa agents' uploads document is questionable. I recently acquired a GCMS note for an individual who was banned. Despite the agent's claim of using the original statement provided by the individual, the agent suggested that the individual might have suffered a spiritual attack. I found this excuse implausible, so I requested the GCMS note, which contained all the submitted documents. when l recieve all the form and document supported ,The bank statement submitted by the agent was evidently fraudulent; I didn't even need to verify with the bank. It was riddled with typographical mistakes, inconsistent fonts, and alignment issues. It's distressing because agents not only sabotage individuals' plans but also cause discord within families. It's baffling how any rational person could accept a ' family spiritual attack' as a justification for visa denial, an excuse the agent employed to mask his fraud and incompetence!

Try Masters (school) if you have a good undergraduate degrees.

I can help you with a strong SoP if you have other things intact.

It's not Canada fault, our people abused it.

I know of a family that had hotel business in Nigeria that is bringing cool money but spent over 10m to get a Canadian visa for his family via immigration lawyers and they will apply for Asylum.

This person profile is economically stronger than most of us here but that is his aim. Why should Camada see you differently? Tell me.

Please can you also help me with a good SOP sample I sent you a mail . I would really appreciate it . Thanks .

.

Is your bank on the "mybankstatement" platform? if yes, you can use this medium to send across the one -pager mybankstatement to them. Please, support it with a reference letter from your bank and a re-print stamped bank statement as others suggested. The one pager mybankstatement would help a lot . Then, you can back it up with a cover letter and sign -it. You can reference the web link below on mybankstatement.

https://www.visa-mybankstatement.com/

It is a "Procedural Fairness Letter". Let your response to them be easy for them to review and follow.

. Above advise is on the assumption the initial statement submitted was genuiene ( without any manipulation from an agent) and you can confirm that.

All the best.

I was also advised to get my lawyer to write a letter to them defending my business and bank statement together with a reference letter from the bank stating how genuine my bank statement is and how long I have been banking with them, because I actually printed it out from the bank app. Also someone advised I try to top up my account with a lump sum showing a commission from the sales of a property.
I would be visiting the bank tomorrow as I have pre informed my account officer and my lawyer but the issue is paying in a lump sum now, won't it be a cause for concern or I should just leave the balance the way it is. Thank you so much as I need every good advice to scale through this hurdle.

Was the initial statement stamped and signed by your bank? I mean the one you submitted alongside your application?
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by glowrya(f): 8:52pm On Jun 13
No it wasn't, I just downloaded it from the bank app as you can easily request for your statement directly from the app instead of going to the bank.

@glowrya, maybe you downloaded the one without stamp and signature.l used access bank app, and in access app, you can download bank statement without stamp and signature and also download bank statement with both stamped and signature.during my application processing l downloaded the one with stamped and signature,l also requested for reference letter to back it up with closing balance of 10m, and no issue.l believe maybe because of the bank statement was not stamped and sign,l pray that God almighty will see you through and also no reference letter to back it up

Yes,the current job market in Canada is very difficult and highly competitive, but some opportunities do exist. Success depends on factors like your skills, industry, and location. Persistence and preparation are key to finding employment.

1. Look into the route below & you can read it up. If you are able to secure a job with any of thier participating employers, you can apply for a work permit.

2. Work towards applying for Permanent Residents.

If you resubmit another application, you will have to start all over and wait for like six months again. You have at least 2 months left for this current application. Just try to chill; it will get to you. Having a US visa might have made it faster. The current visitor's visa estimated processing times for Nigeria is 173 days; even the current estimated processing times for the UK is 200+ days.

Wait your turn. Look above and you'll see someone who also had a UK visa and you had to wait more than 150 days. They'll get to you. Your valid UK and Europe visa doesn't make your application any special. It would help better, if you had a US visa.

Is it so, that Canada gives visitors visa up to the point when your passport expires?
is it applicable in all cases ?

1. Yes, it is true but may not apply to all applicants. It is based on thier descretion but if it comes out that way, fine.

2. It all depends on the immigration officer in charge of the file.

My Uncle got passport request on the 24th May.with his family.

They all did biometrics in Abuja.

Please how can they submit their passports to vac?

They don't live in Abuja and also do they need appointment for passport submission??

Are they required to pay any fees before submission .??

Please I need proper guide from experienced folks.

All they want is to send int their passports to vac and for vac to return it back to them after vignette is stamped..

I requested the entire application, supporting documents, and correspondence, and it took about 5 weeks. However, if you choose the 1st or 3rd option for status or reason for update, it is faster, but you will receive only the officer's notes and not the whole document submitted.
