Considering how tiny this state is and the amount that comes in in federal allocation, Yenagoa should be finer than this. 177 Likes 11 Shares |

SoNature: Bayelsa is bigger than 10 Nigerian States See this Map. Oya tell me what you mean by tiny. Despite the fact that Bayelsa is a very new State doesn't make it small all because it's among the newest States. 25 Likes 3 Shares

SoNature: Bayelsa tiny? Bayelsa is larger than all the Eastern states just that they have a large number of unproductive residents. 48 Likes 7 Shares |

Unbiased1:You guys are really slow. Let me educate you... size of state or place doesn't =development or progress of the state or place. Do you know Lagos is the smallest state in Nigeria yet the most developed? Do you know Niger state is 30 times bigger than London but London is 50000 times richer than Niger? Size of place doesn't matter if the people living there are not productive. North has the largest states yet produce the largest beggars and poor people. Why can't they use all of that plenty land to grow agriculture products? Answer: only 1% of the land is fertile and only 0.5 of their population is productive 74 Likes 6 Shares |

christejames: It is doomed forever. There's no logical reason for someone to live in or do business there other than being a native. They land is low value and infertile, weather is bad, worst pollution in w/Africa, high poverty, high illiteracy, kidnapping, etc 16 Likes |

Paystack: The issue with Bayelsa, nay Ijaw areas in the Niger Delta is the absence of proper habitable land. The terrain is mostly swamps and mangroves which without intensive capital expenditure will be largely uninhabitable. For example, take the East West Road, see the sections that passes through Ikwerreland, Ogoni land, Akwa Ibom etc and check the section that pass through bayelsa. The Bayelsa section is deplorable due to terrain. Almost everywhere in Ijawland need serious sandfilling, which is capital intensive before reasonable work can be carried out. So don't expect serious development there. Use Google map and zoom into Bayelsa and Ijaw parts of Rivers state and see how scanty there villages are. No amount of online revisionism can change what they are. It has never been about the size of bayelsa but the liveability. 45 Likes 2 Shares |

BossGerald: At least Oyo has an airport, show us Abia airport. Ondo has shores for a seaport. Your entire region put together can never have half plot with direct access to the sea. 324 Likes 21 Shares |

jamesversion: Yet they come online to make noise as if the number one priority in the mind of Igbo people is more land mass. We have just about the right size of land and productive people to start up our own country if need be. I tell you brother even if they were zero natural resources in IgboLand and Biafra was a reality. And the government invest in the youths so they can be producing and manufacturing goods and and things like electronics.... Abia and Anambra state would have been the first black nation to compete with Asians in terms of cheap tech and products. We would be mass exporting Tech products to neighboring African countries. We would always find a way to create wealth just like we invented the apprenticeship system after the war. 15 Likes 3 Shares |

Appletek: This grazing field is what you call an airport?? Are you not ashamed?? Ondo has shores for seaport without any foundation or even block moulded?? The thing is that you guys have not yet realised how backwards you've retrogressed. I haven't seen any vibrant city anywhere in the world without an airport, that SE five plots of land have 4 airports. 30 Likes 3 Shares

ebufa:They should be in same league with Lagos and PH with all that oil man.... it's just disheartening. Funny thing is they'll ignore their main problems and be fighting those who don't see them as enemies or who aren't even a threat to them. People sucking their oils are faraway in the North why they're here in the south fighting their brothers for absolutely nothing πππ 10 Likes 1 Share |
