We can only hope for best losers spot. Thank goodness, our group is made up of six teams. We stand a chance if we manage to garner at least 15 points |

Katcall: Never ,with a good coach and good team selection we shld be able to defeat Rwanda 🇷🇼 (home and away) 6points Benin 🇧🇯 at uyo (3points) Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 at uyo (3points) And Lesotho 🇱🇸 at a neutral venue (3points) South Africa 🇿🇦 (we shld aim for a win also, but realistically this match might end up in a score draw) So I am expecting 16points from d so called technocrats If we can’t beat dis teams…we don’t deserve to be in World Cup , and we shld be considered as minnows in Africa 😎 8 Likes |

TheGoodJoe:I wasn't in support of Musa's prolonged invitations even though it were for off the pitch reasons, but seriously do you honestly want to compare Musa's quality to Taminu, clubless or not? |

4) Notwithstanding the challenges that attended the team’s preparations for the Day 3 and Day 4 games of the FIFA World Cup qualifying matches, owing to a 38-hour nationwide industrial action, the Board expressed displeasure with the poor attitude of some of the players to the National Assignment, and unanimously decided in favour of a more robust scouting programme of outstanding Nigeria-eligible players from across the four corners of the universe, who can add tremendous value to the nation’s flagship team. The NFF released a 7 point agenda communique and this part I posted (#4) got my attention...if what I read is what it's implying to be, then it means A LOT of the players on this current team aren't safe...the new NFF board and foreign technical adviser might start preparing a new team of dedicated and serious minded players from across Europe and back home who will be ready to give their all when the next qualifiers start. The report that most players in this team disrespected Finidi begins to make more sense when you consider how some of them (won't mention names) arrived late to camp and opted for vacations and partying over training. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Napoleon55: You already showed how horrendous Musa's invitation is and why it can't be compared to Taminu's recruitment. You said your self that a position for a player to help the team on the field reason was used to pick a player for "off-the-field" reasons. Do you see how ridiculous Musa's call up was? How can you compare that to Taminu's recruitment? 1 Like 1 Share |

ArewaQuitessenc: We are reflecting on one of the most ridiculous callups in the history of Super Eagles and I am pointing out how terrible a decision a foreign coach can make. Before people try to paint Foreign coaches as never do wrongs. |

komekn:So u admit that those teams in the past that comprises of only players born in Nigeria are better than this current team that is mixed right? That everything else in Nigeria have regressed is not an excuse, and it's not true. We have artistes born locally here in Nigeria making waves globally, hitting more success, some of them winning Grammy awards, the topmost award in the global music industry, unlike in the past. whether the music our artistes play today is of better quality than before is a topic for another day, but in this state of affairs in Nigerian, they were able to achieve so much. The same with our athletes, Tobi Amusan is,or probably the best female hurdle athlete in the world. Favour Ofili is coming up and proving herself to be among the best female athlete in the world. our female athletic team is a potential Olympic medal winning team. I believe our football team can achieve success also even in this present Nigerian condition when the right people will find themselves in charge. |

TheGoodJoe:Musa's invitations was wrong but his invitation was not in any way affecting our performances because he wasn't playing. But we are talking about inviting and starting an undeserved rookie ahead of more qualified players in Europe, which reduced our defense overall confidence. 1 Like |

Napoleon55: Musa robbed the likes of Nathan Tella and Childera Ejuke a chance for call up. We are talking of a player without a club and not in action at all making the Super Eagles team. It is far worse than Taminu's invitation. 6 Likes 1 Share |

The call ups is not the only factor for some of their failures. If it was, Keshi won’t have been successful. How about Shehu? Wasn’t Sadiq’s invite questionable? White coaches have their preferences too. Napoleon55: |

I have an old time football administrator who writes on football in Nigeria, knows the ins and outs of the NFF, who came up with this exact thought immediately the NFF confirmed Finidi over Amunike. He didn't wait for Finidi's first game, he immediately sent me his write up and said this is part of the NFF's plan. He said he has proof that some of them admitted Amunike is better qualified than Finidi but went with Finidi based on an agenda they had. Truth is they knew Finidi will fail. Now, here we are today. elyte89: 1 Like |

True, however we've find it difficult to break African opposition lately especially the very defensive ones.. it won't be a bad idea too if the coach list some tough Africa teams for friendlies to prepare well.. TheGoodJoe: |
