Considering how tiny this state is and the amount that comes in in federal allocation, Yenagoa should be finer than this.

Finer than this is an understatement. These pictures are slums. Only one road with trees looks a bit decent, the rest are shanties. What sort of abysmal standards are we operating that someone will post these shanties and be proud of it? Even villages in many third world countries look better than this!

How Bayelsa looks is really depressing and shows they can’t achieve anything great even if they control their oil resources 100%.

It seems only Igbos have presentable cities and villages in Nigeria, the rest are an eyesore.

Is that why you won't show us Ibadan and ondo airport??

Big for nothing states with nothing to show for it

Your reasoning shows how typical Nigerians think.

1) All States aren't meant to be doing the same things .

2) Airports shouldn't just be built for the sake of building Airports.
Most Airports in Nigeria are under utilized and the money for building unnecessary new Airports should have been channeled into addressing economic developments of these States.
Why did Ekiti State build that Airport when there already existing Airports close to the State like Akure Airport, Ibadan Airport and Murtalar Muhammed Airport Lagos?

The Millions spent by Ex-Gov Aregbesola to build a non-viable Airport at Ido-Osun, Osun State could have been spent on purchase of modern Agriculture Tractors and Harvesters.

I don't know your true intentions when you people upload stuff on nairaland to make Bayelsa feel what it is not, too much propaganda, your stupid governors don't develop the state, Bayelsa is too backward.

Oga tell yourself the truth is Bayelsa beautiful, why not take the pictures closer or you are scared, for the records I be Bayelsa boy, born and bred.
It makes me sick to my stomach when I see stuff like this, that's why we don't grow or be like you no dae travel.
Dumbass go tell your governor to develop the state, stop snapping aerial picture of the state

Come to think of it, how much do they pay you guys for this nonsense

Bayelsa is bigger than 10 Nigerian States

See this Map.

Oya tell me what you mean by tiny.

Despite the fact that Bayelsa is a very new State doesn't make it small all because it's among the newest States.
This map is 100% wrong when it comes to size. The map does not represent Nigerian states in terms of size. In real measure, Kogi is about 3 times bigger than Bayelsa, about 6 times bigger than Anambra.
In fact, Kogi is bigger than Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi, Imo and Abia all put together.
You can confirm this through the link below.

Oh, Bob I tire, the only noticeable infrastructure in that whole of Yenagoa is the Tombia roundabout and Julius Berger flyover, and that same Yenagoa remains the most developed city in the state. From the government house to Swali, down to local content are all slums. Inside these same Yenagoa men still fetch dirty water from the river for cooking and bathing. Still, they will come and ridicule this state by uploading useless aerial view pictures. Don't you guys travel? As dilapidated as Warri it is still more developed than Yenagoa a state capital receiving billions of allocations monthly.

What a Sh!thile... just one roundabout in all of this state?

Bros. There are a few others. Apart from the Beger Roundabout captured in the post.

Tombia roundabout.

There's also Imgbi roundabout.

Then the Glory Drive roundabout (the biggest of all).

There's another one going towards Govt house, just behind BMU.

These are the ones I can remember for now

I'm not sure the goal of the op was to show us roundabouts...

Sometimes, I wonder the kind of parents who raised and taught you to always put others down just to feel good about yourselves.

Most of the money that comes into Bayelsa is shared among the people. Development isn't a priority. It's a long-standing tradition that Former Governor Seriake Dickson tried to change and met fierce resistance. At some point, he would go on air and call his people lazy, encouraging them to work hard like the Yorubas, Deltans and Igbos who manage a significant fraction of economic activities in the state.

This grazing field is what you call an airport?? Are you not ashamed??

Ondo has shores for seaport without any foundation or even block moulded??

The thing is that you guys have not yet realised how backwards you've retrogressed.

I haven't seen any vibrant city anywhere in the world without an airport, that SE five plots of land have 4 airports.

Another hater from the Yeast.

Yenagoa is finer than Umuahia, Awka, etc.

I don't know why you Igbos are so full of hate for others.

Show me the capital of oil producing states in Igboland let me see how better they are compare to Yenagoa.

I mean show me Owerri, Umuahia and Awka..

It is doomed forever. There's no logical reason for someone to live in or do business there other than being a native. They land is low value and infertile, weather is bad, worst pollution in w/Africa, high poverty, high illiteracy, kidnapping, etc

you really know Bayelsa, despite their huge oil resources thr only place i know Bayelsa is better than in terms of ambience, development and security is south east.
