TheSuperNerd: Doc. Just tell amunike to try get a coaching job in one of this small Africa countries and do exceptional well like keshi did and kwesi appiah is currently doing with Sudan...I assure u Nigerians will even sing his praise and he will get the nff job on a platter but for now he is not good enough Finidi give us a vivid picture of what to expect with the 1994 set of the super eagles save from Siasia they're all mediocre coaches |

Amunike may be better qualified but there is no guarantee whatsoever that he would perform well. He was in that coaching team for the Ghana double header and we saw how everything turned out. Enough with the Amunike agenda. 3 Likes 1 Share |

✋🏼 Italy manager Luciano Spalletti has decided five very strict rules to his squad 🤯🇮🇹 ❌⏰ NO chance to be late at meetings. ❌📱 NO phones allowed during lunch or dinner. ❌🎧 NO headphones allowed, so no to isolation. ❌🤹🏼♂️ NO to excessive jokes between teammates. ❌🕹️ NO PlayStation in each room, only all together. |

caprikon:Na lie. It's all theory. Amunike is probably a better pick. Don't say he's certainly a better pick. You can only say he's a better pick when he gets there and performs. No more theories based on potential and past records. The man who gets in the saddle and rides the horse to destination is the better pick. A man is not the better pick because the man who was picked failed. No! 5 Likes 1 Share |

Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Mujtahida: 10:01am On Jun 14 |
TheGoodJoe:Theory theory theory. This mentality that the alternative is better is false. Until Amunike becomes SE coach and does well, it is all just conjecture to say he will do well. Be humble in putting out your theories. That's how we thought Siasia could do it. As a SE coach, he couldn't. We thought Oliseh could do it. He couldn't. We thought Finidi could do it. He couldn't. No more theories. 8 Likes 4 Shares |

elyte89: "Discipline is the soul of an army. It makes small numbers formidable; pro- cures success to the weak, and esteem to all". - George Washington Measures like this particularly in sports doesn't guarantee that you win. But it helps to significantly increase your chances of winning. They aren't strict rules in themselves, they are measures to keep the team disciplined, focused, dialed in and cut off distractions. Every great coach has something like this. Osimhen alluded to Spalleti doing something similar with them. Sir Alex also had his own version. 1 Like 1 Share |

These nff guys need to grow up or get out. This mentality that every Nigerian Assistant will suddenly be great head coach is wack You understudy for a few years You further coaching license and modify what you understudy You experiment with a club and eyes will see and hype that you indeed have a pattern/philosophy You take up small country jobs to test your mental strength under pressure and difficult situations You brush up your press conference skills and PR People will do the rest when the time comes All of these skipped NFF in their 100s of hours of deliberation because Greed is the principal thing to them The fact they've considered jokers for selection proves this The Yobo one no work The Salisu own no work The Finidi one no work Will they ever wake up from this assistant stuff? 1 Like |

humility33:He's so full of theories. Painfully his theories always get rejected and that gives him more room to continue peacocking about and going on about his theories. Cos they never get tested just so we can KNOW. It's the same thing with Nwakali. They troubled us for years because he was never tested consistently for us to make a firm position. Same thing now with Amunike. We no go rest. I'm not against Amunike. I'm against theories. Whether Amunike can or cannot do remains to be seen. Nobody should come and tell me he can and will do it. That's kindergarten talk. 2 Likes |

Mujtahida:The mathematical fact is if this is AFCON qualifiers, i won't even join to say No to Amunike. It Is what's at stake that's making me say No to those clamoring for him. We are already in a very difficult situation and Amunike doesn't have what it takes to move us out of it and that's just permutations at play. Maybe they're comfortable with having two 94 ex-ints, albeit 3, being at the helm of back to back World Cup absences for the alleged Top stars generation since the golden one. Maybe. The only permutation I'll agree with them is that Amunike was a better choice than Finidi. But we're past all that one now. We wan cross Rubicon or Atlantic wey dem never tame. 1 Like |

Coaching is not really the problem of the Eagles. The team has been on a downward spiral from the last days of Rohr and no coach has seemed to get it right. The previous coach had a score of 2/6 in WCQ while Finidi finished with 1/6. I don't expect any miracles from the next coach as the team is very low in confidence. Meanwhile... 2 Likes 2 Shares

MetalJigsaw:Those two are enough. That Faso one fell off i think. If NOTHING IS AT STAKE, then we can, as Goodjoe keeps insisting, give Amunike his chance and let his results talk for him But World Cup is at stake A 2nd Time!! And this time against teams we should not be losing to?!! 1 Like |

ArewaQuitessenc:This is what I mean about perception. With our local coaches 90 percent of the time is spent with him trying to assert his authority, discipline the players and control things. But with white man, our players often comport themselves. Call it colonial mentality, it is what it is. And it has real practical implication. Two teachers. Mr. A enters the class, spends a huge chunk of time trying to quiet the unruly kids, half of whom turn up late to class. Many don't pay attention during lessons and generally don't care. Same student, same class but Mr. B enters and stamps his authority quickly. Students turn up on time. Eager to do their lessons and are generally committed. Who do you think will get a better outcome? Perception. That's why I am for a white man oo. Abeg bring white man. 3 Likes |
