The rascality of the Rivers State judiciary and some lawyers is the reason for the confusion in the state. Entertaining cases where they lack jurisdiction. NBA and NJC should take action. The only valid judgement so far remains that of Omotosho's court. Amaewhule remains the speaker. That is the status quo.

End of Discussion ! The LG chairmen will be out by 18th June. That's one structure down for Fubara to install his.

You guys keep changing the date. The elected local government chairmen are going nowhere without an election. Get that into your skull. Go and prepare for election.

I am not a lawyer but for my understanding, the judgement favor Fubara while Wike men are to wait till the ruling of the Appeal Court

On Tuesday's morning the local government chairmen who are loyal to Wike are going to look stupid because the new set of people are going to occupy their offices
If local govt guys will lose as we were made to believe and then the 27lawmakers win case to stay back in office , don't u think they can still force fubara to conduct the LG
election.
That bn said don't u think if fubara men are really in control of River state as we are made to believe he will be bold enough to conduct a local govt election as a form of litmus test.
Secondly wike men are in charge of PDP both national and at state level.its a dicey one for fubara .

RIVERS PEOPLE BE VIGILANT

With the outcome of the various courts on the matter involving Martin Amaewhule and his committee of friends, Vs Rt. Oko-Jumbo, Speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly as well as the voiding of Rivers State Local Government Council Chairmen extension law, we wish to ask Rivers people to be vigilant as the tenure of the local government administration under the present Chairmen gradually comes to an end today the last official day in office.

Rivers people should therefore be vigilant and protect the Councils Secretariat as available information indicates that the outgoing Chairmen are planning to loot the Councils Secretariat. We therefore call on security agencies, members of NULGE and community leaders across the 23 LGA to guard against the evil plan of these outgoing Chairmen.

Let's join hands to protect and defend the interest of Rivers State.

To maintaining status quo ante bellum is that since the High Court has declared their seats vacant which they are appealing against, their seats will remain vacant until the Court of Appeal determines the case. Things shoul remain the way they are.

The last time votes from South East won an election was in 2011 when they voted in line with Yorubas. After then the precursor of who would lose in an election tussle is anyone South East supports.

TheElites19s:
What the court meant is that Martins Amaewhule is still the speaker pending still next week when the court will give the final judgement

Appeal Court as replied on the ruling of State high Court that gave judgement some days ago

"The Court of Appeal however refused to grant the prayer for stay of execution and setting aside the interim order of the Lower Court as there is a presumption of correctness of an order of a Court. It held that granting same would be tantamount to determining the appeal at this stage. The Court went on to order that the present status quo should be maintained pending the hearing of the Appeal"

If your interpretation of that which the Appeal Court pronounced is in order, does that mean all the bills passed by Martins Amaewhuleas Speaker still stands and the other person standing as same is illegitimate given this ruling till June 20th when the actual judgement will be given.

Now if you say Martins Amaewhule remains the Speaker Status Quo that also means the incumbent LGC chairmen will remain in office according to the law passed by Speaker Martins Amaewhule?

Two useless people wike and fubara are just fighting for supremacy instead of good governance, Wike should be calming down he is making fubura more popular, He should just allow him to complete his first term just as his boss did to Ambode silently not by making noise, if fubura decamped to apc he would have strong backup from tinubu then wike we lose all his political structure and value sometimes you behave like a fool to become wise

Dont come here and confuse people. They are both Court of Coordinate jurisdiction. even if we want to look deep, its is Justice Omotosho's court that lacks the Jurisdiction to adjudicate on matters concerning Rivers State.

I dont know why these obidunces dont use their brains, who actually told you that Fubara is winning? Hahaha just because of status quo, you are rejoicing? The same way you guys failed to use the brains God gave to you when Kanu lied to you that Buhari was dead and cloned and you all swallowed the lies. By the time the Appeal Court retains the lawmakers and they nullify any LGA caretaker appointed by Fubara. What will you obidunces do? Just mark it today, Wike has never lost any case not even when he was against the FG of Buhari. I pity Fubara that is being hailed by failures

Exactly! That's what they don't know. The FHC doesn't have jurisdiction over state assembly matters. It is all wikes tactics to procure high court judgements at the federal level.
