Just because someone has accomplished great things doesn't mean they can't fail in other aspects including people management and even technical coaching. Finidi George was used by people who wanted to demonstrate the lack of ability of local coaches and he walked into it and confirmed their view. He is deflecting from his own failure.

Osimhen is a relatively young man and is someone who can't stand that accusation of not giving his best for his country. Could he have been calmer about it? First, Oshimen is never from the south east, same as Finidi. They're both from South South. That being said, there's cost and effect. No place in the world where a responsible coach blame a player not in the squad for a match defeat, no place! You take responsibility for your failure. So, if the coach won those games, who will have said those statements?

Furthermore, both Finidi and Oshimen, who should be more matured, cultured and well behaved? When a father behaves like a child, he should be treated like one. This is how it should be. VO9 in his word which he has on record, said "I begged the coach to be in camp with the boys even with my injury, for moral boost. But, the coach turned it down and said I should be with my family". So, why was he lying and placing blame on the young boy when you have enough strikers in the team? He even accused
the boy publicly and suddenly people wants him to keep quiet and pretend like nothing happened. Have you ever be blamed before? If VO9 didn't come out now, what do you think would have been the narrative? Did the coach who suppose to know better thought about his words on the young boy's career when he blamed him? Go see the boy's handle and see bashing from Nigerians who knows nothing about the matter before now. And someone wants him to come out calm without being disrespectful! Hypocrites everywhere!

In South South, we love respect and discipline. But, when you mess up, will tell it to you. We don't pamper the elder and dissed the child. If the elder did not display lies and disrespect, the child will not misbehave. Let's treated issues the way they are. The big question is, "why did the coach lie against VO9?, why the blame game and where's the place of taking responsibility for the poor performance of the boys?"

Was VO9 right with his outburst? The answer is "no!" Could he have handled it better, yes! Be he chooses to handle it the way he did due to the severity and anger the breeded out of the Coach lies and blame games. The coach is the one who lost my respect, not the one challenging the coach of his lies, pretense and manipulations.

Comparing VO9 with Finidi in terms of achievements is the height of cluelessness and disrespect to both players. VO9 is still very young. At his age he's already the CAF player of the year.
