NFF didn't have the funds for that. Sports ministry refused to support them. Now that the presidency have wedged in because shit don hit fan.
But to say all that they did was premeditated to get this outcome where we have 2 points from playing 4 matches is a stretch.

We don't hate our country this much abeg

So, does that mean anybody can coach without prior experience or whatever as long as the person has a coaching badge?

There was a news about Kompany not having the required qualifications before taking that Anderlect job. Why did they give him the job when there were coaches with superior badges available?

The tactics and football Ideologies from Pep, were they as a result of his coaching badge or personal prowess?
Don't allow him draw you into expending energies talking about theories on coaching badges.

We have two sets of coaches: those who can do it and those who cannot. Finito

It is not unfounded that before appointing Finidi, the preference was a foreign coach. It was reported widely. The resistance was from a lot of fans and journalists who wanted local after Peseiro and Rohr and all the money spent on them. It was reported that getting the money would prove difficult, especially as the sports ministry was u willing to assist. It was not long ago that this happened so I'm wondering why you're coming at me with "unfounded". Was it not here we reported that Allen Onyema said they should only hire a local coach (Amunike i think). This is someone who would typically support our team financially.

Why did it take so long to appoint a coach? If there was proper interview and analysis on all the applicants and their capabilities, why the sudden panick and lack of belief in their well thought out decision? There's conspiracy, and there's deductive inference. They're not the same.
We have always had foreign coaches. It is even the idea of local coaches that meets with resistance.

And to say that all that has happened was planned to happen is outlandish as if the NFF are God such that they could control all outcomes just so we can be 2nd on the lower wrung of the ladder.

Who benefits if we qualify? Is it you or the NFF officials?
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2023, 2025 And 2026 World Cup by chrisooblog: 1:11pm On Jun 16
NFF was probably thinking Federal Government would pay the bills of the foreign coach which is a big ask considering the state of the economy.

Like you I sincerely don't believe the NFF would willfully sabotage our WC qualification campaign but they have the tendency to always make head scratching poor decisions that leave lasting negative impact on national team football.

Bro everything no be who be pesin favorite or not. Victor messed with that video full stop.

Osimhen is someone I greatly admire but his fans and close supporters will be doing him a disservice if you don't call him out for poor behavior.

We shouldn't be pampering nonsense behavior.

You are looking at it from the wrong perspective. Players are growing around the world. Tiki tala.education has made it difficult for exceptional talents to work over average players. Even if Ronaldinho in his prime comes to today's football, he would not find it easy. No room for breakdancing on the pitch.

Ronaldinho should go to coaching school and come andngroom a team, let's see if he can scratch it. That time is past.

In the end, the NFF.... you see those guys? They are the real problem. Not Finidi, Not Ndidi's slump in form, Not Tanimu, Not anything else.

We just hope again now that one of their "agenda-driven" decisions, through some unexpected twist, ACTUALLY turn out good, somewhat, and helps set the team on the path of restoration and redemption from this current chaos.

If not.... we are back to the nadir point, yet again.

Exactly the NFF is the source of all these problems, I was just waiting for Osimhen or Finidi or somebody to name names fgs, but right now we will be passing blames from Osimhen to Finidi while the real culprits go scot free

You can clear the air but not ranting any how. Even talking down the team super eagles.
See no player can be bigger than the national team.

The last time it was Victor Ikpeba and now Finidi George

All the ex stars Igbalo and Annichebe has shut him down

I'm reading somewhere that the someone in the NFF reached out toPitso Mosimane for the job, but he declined because he didn't want to go against his country. Interesting!
Why do i have this feeling that i know who exactly. The person has not hidden love for Pitso in last 2years. There are two sef. Well.. nothing to fawn about

that is how most Nigerians express themselves... when 2 Nigerians are shouting at each other they are always insulting...

No o they shouldn’t forgive o cos osihmen is the reason we couldn’t beat Benin

Since Afcon that guy has been coming under attack because he didn’t score, folks have even blame him for not making us qualify for the previous World Cup. Let’s just continue that cycle of scattering everything because we can’t put our house in order. I bet you it’s best the striker keeps away from the national team for now cos if he comes back and does not score people are already waiting to pounce on him again. Let us keep forming moral agents and ignore all what brought us to where we are now. phew

Osimhen is fully committed to the team. Let everyone just chill. It is alright.

Osimhen will get back to doing what he does best for the Super Eagles, fighting for success. Finidi is his big brother and definitely will understand that Osimhen's burst up came from a misunderstanding. Even though he overstepped his boundaries, I believe Finidi will not have any ill feelings towards him.

Let us shun the misunderstanding and focus on what truly matters, getting the Super Eagles back in full gear and Osimhen ia part of tbat.

NFF is partly to blame.. however Finidi takes the most blame because he did not win any of the WCQ matches..

is it the NFF that said Amokachi, Ndubuisi Egbo, Amunike, Eguavoen e.t.c. should not assist or help Finidi to ensure WC qualifications...

when I watch EPL or UCL the assistants and the coaches are always talking to each other.. however, when it comes to the S.E the coach is always a lonely figure... its only Super Falcons coach Randy Waldrum that have seen talking to his assistants..

Oga that an unciviliced way of actings

I do not like FINIDI's coaching style isn't enough reason to throw caution to the wind. Finidi is a Nigerian legend, he won the nations cup, played at the world Cup, won champions League, won the Eredevise and a host of other titles in his playing days. He was at some point adjudged to be the best Right winger in world Football..

Victor osimhen 9 could still have made his point without being so rude and disrespectful.
Because FINIDI is a Coach doesn't mean he should be disrespected by any player..

You could have passed your message with respect. He is the coach for heaven sakes...

They probably didn't expect everything to manifest so soon, but I wouldn't put it past them to expect that down the line, our play and results will not be encouraging. We know how they sabotage previous coaches or wait for us to qualify (after struggling) and then start shouting "foreign coach". And like someone said, they make really stupid decisions that you begin to wonder. There are some decisions a person makes you begin to suspect they aren't stupid but deliberate. It happens a lot with our politicians and civil servants.

All I'm saying is everything is smelling because the NFF are continuously making seemingly stupid decisions that, if you are someone who can read patterns and connect dots, may not be so stupid after all.

S.E got 2nd place prize money from AFCON...

S.F also reached the knockout stages of the Womens World Cup some months before AFCON and NFF also got money from that..

NFF has money... they just want to chop it...
