A black pastor who was fired by his congregation and who was then allowed back temporarily by a court, invited Trump to his church building to speak. Trump spoke on a Sat, where there was no Service. Trump had to fill the Church with white people because few black people showed up. And even still the church was not filled. Trump did not go to a Black Church. As Church is just not the building but the community that encompases it. He held an event in a Black Church building.

Here you are again, shuckin and jivin.

Your original claim was I was spreading propaganda that it is a black church, then you showed photos of whites who were in the church to see trump but may not be members of the ch urch to disprove it is a black church on a Saturday.

And you accused others for spreading propaganda.

I don't waste much time though with rather lazy "maths is racist" or "you don't live here" logic, because that's just brain dumbness.

There seems to be an emotional underpinning why you can't let this go.
Is truly asinine to argue you can understand something without experiencing that thing first.
It's such asinine logic, it gives me a headache.

If you love the US so much, get a ticket to the US and visit some cities. At least it'll get you on the path to a fuller understanding of the country.

I have never lived in Israel nor Palestine, and nor have I ever experienced what those who live there experience. Judge for yourself if I understand or not from what I've posted on the subject and I will live with your judgement.

I don't love the US at all, and nor do I have any interest in going there not to talk of living there amongst the dumb fuqs that scare you who live there in a nation that had to fight war to teach itself to hold the truths it claimed were self-evident that all men are created equal.

They have this thing called an amendment that lets them carry guns for christsakes, but they want to ban the pill! The ignorance scares me, so I'd rather remain where I am, thank you very much, watching and learning about you from afar.

Love America my ass! And I now suppose I'd see you switch and give me the "if you hate America" version, which I don't.

You can understand it to a degree, but I'm sure visiting it would enhance your understanding.

I visited France in high school to better understand the culture just so I could speak better French.

I'm Nigerian, spend a good amount of time in Nigeria, but understand my knowledge about it is incomplete as I don't actively live there. So, when I want to understand something better esp. about the culture, I call my boys there. I'm ok acknowledging that. Why is this something that is even in discussion? It's a truism.

Visiting might "enhance your understanding", but I'd only need to observe people who've visited Disney or who live in US all their lives and only understand US to a degree that I would argue is nearer to zero to disabuse myself of that stupid illogical thought, don't you think?

IjeBos:
I visited France in high school to better understand the culture just so I could speak better French.

That's you. I've visited France a number of times, but mostly, I read lots of French history and philosophy, not to learn dates or remember names, but to understand how its culture developed so I can better understand its culture today. But I guess we'd need to accept your degree is better because you visited and speak French.

IjeBos:
I'm Nigerian, spend a good amount of time in Nigeria, but understand my knowledge about it is incomplete as I don't actively live there.

Dude. It must be very difficult for you to accept that there are people who have lived all their lives in Nigeria who don't even know Nigeria has cultures not to speak of understand what those cultures are and how they interact and affect each other. In fact, I'm rather surprised that despite your "spend a good amount of time in Nigeria", you don't seem to know it is Nigerian culture for some dumb fuq who knows very little to stand in your face and say you know fuq.

Perhaps your "spend a good amount of time in Nigeria" taught you little I guess.

I like Nairaland for one thing, Ije. Its fruitiness is divine. Not even, "Call Harvard there"?

Me, I don't "call my boys there". I get off my ass and do my research with the sweat off my own brow is what I do. There's books afterall, and though much less these days, they have been my daily bread, still its far more than most get from living there not to talk of just visit I'd have thought, especially since one can't exactly visit or send ones boys to the Estates General of 1789 or the Battle of Tours/Poitiers to find out for one. Or does one not need to learn such knowledge to understand French culture, I wonder.

Its the buda ego you see. First, it arrogantly doesn't trust that boys would do the work to make sure their eyes work like buda's do. And boys got better things to do than just feed buda their own understanding of anything not to talk of a culture of an entire nation. That, Ijebos, is buda's egotistically self chosen truism. And we are discussing it because you'd rather buda accept your truism which buda obviously doesn't because it is flawed logic, and is like a professor in Harvard arguing their understanding is superior "because my tenure is longer".

"Call your boys", lol!

As I said it's ur ego not allowing you to believe that you aren't the end all and be all of knowledge. I crossed that bridge a while ago. You seem to be stuck on it.

But back to you what you wrote. I didn't want to say this as I was sparing your ego, but it is a uniquely Nigerian thing for people who know little of a topic to try to lecture others who know more, on it. It's always embarrassing and cringeworthy when it I see it. It's frustrating and exhausting and it's what you do here sometimes.

Now, my goal in life is to get as complete information as quickly as possible. And of course the goal is finding the right source. Now if I wanted to understand how a Tesla engine works I could spend hours/days googling it, or I could call up a head Tesla engineer for information. Which would be preferable? Now "my boys" are the equivalent of a head Tesla engineer in Nigeria. If I need anything, I can connect to someone "in the actual know". Ex. I used to run alot. In the US I could get get away with running at a certain time even in the summer. Tried it in Naij one day and almost died. Now I could have spent time researching the best time to run in Lagos heat or I could call up my boy who lives in Lagos, started a running club in Lagos and flies around the world competing in marathons, and ask what time he runs. All in under 1 minute. Which is a more preferable path?

So, I guess it boils down to 1.) ego, can you acknowledge that you aren't the end all and be all of information. And 2.) do you have a circle such that you can reach out to people and get proper information/perspective. And as you've noticed I'm a pretty sure of myself, so when I say "my boys", I'm talking about very legit people.

But, I'm cracking up here that you said "call your boys" in quotes. If you only knew. If you had my boys, you'd want to call them too. Lol.

But odd this is even a discussion.

I don't need to believe that I am not the end of all knowledge! Knowledge is far too massively big for even the massive buda ego to know it all, so don't be telling me not to believe what I never told you I believed please.

ijebosb:

I crossed that bridge a while ago. You seem to be stuck on it.
No you didn't crossed that bridge.

ijebosb:
But back to you what you wrote. It's always embarrassing and cringeworthy when it I see it. It's frustrating and exhausting and it's what you do here sometimes.

First, I am not lecturing you. I don't come on nairaland looking for people to lecture. Most of us come here to exchange our views and opinions with others who have views and opinions that may agree or differs to ours, and we learn pretty early not to assume arrogance of any knowledge because we would surely hit one who knows more. Such people, however, prove their point with the evidence they provide and by the quality of their argument, and I am telling you that claiming "you don't live here" as the basis of an argument is no different to "I am older than you, or I am wealthier than you or went to a better school than you went or speak better english than you speak or you are a man and I am a woman or you white and got tacticals so I must shut the fuq up.

That shit just ain't liberal!

ijebosb:

Now, my goal in life is to get as complete information as quickly as possible. And of course the goal is finding the right source. Now if I wanted to understand how a Tesla engine works I could spend hours/days googling it, or I could call up a head Tesla engineer for information. Which would be preferable?

You will call up Tesla engineer for the culture of Tesla because you haven't got the time and patience to diligently research the culture of Tesla yourself, so therefore, buda too also must call up the Tesla engineer?

ijebosb:
So, I guess it boils down to 1.) ego, can you acknowledge that you aren't the end all and be all of information.

buda hereby acknowledges that buda is not the end all and be all of information, and nor has buda ever claimed buda was or is the end all and be of all information.

And fir your information, i have found this tk be the basus of most argument that i get in to, and its usually with small ego people who feel threatened by the ego of others. They are easily recognised by how they adorn themselves with the trinkets of their car or living or their earnings or harvard or they lived their longer. I call it the Nigerian "Who got the bigger diq". And its not a game I play.

ijebosb:
And 2.) do you have a circle such that you can reach out to people and get proper information/perspective.

I have got you, Ijebosb, every day in my circle, at least as far as US is concerned and the facts go. And when you present facts, I often read them, and sometimes I like and share them, but this is not about facts, but about your opinion of the facts, as in your subjective view of things, and don't you think its silly to claim your subjective opinion is far superior because you live in a place?

Besides, its not like I am asking anyone to interpret what I see for me now do I, or don't you know how big buda's ego is? For reference, Eve freed herself from slavery in Eden where she was being kept naked and ignorant, but I guess you'd rather ask your boys.

ijebosb:
If you had my boys, you'd want to call them too. Lol.
Just listen to yourself. Boasting about your boys without seeing how you've gone from bothering to visit to just asking your boys.

No matter how many boys you may have, how the fuq can they possibly explain the culture of anywhere to you without including their own biases and ignorance in what they tell you? Or don't you mind?

Still, good for you. I will not call any boys to tell me the culture of anywhere, Ijebosb, even if they live there, because my boys don't have the time, and I have the ability to research myself from many sides and angles over many centuries they can't possibly tell me about.

Ijebosb, we read many books. Books that agree with our view, and books that disagree with our view, so we get different perspectives and opinions. That's how we avoid other peoples bias and ignorance. And even before that we spend years reading lots of books just to develop our own reading abilities and our understanding abilities so we can minimise.our own biases getting in the way of our understanding. After all, its not as if we are uneducated idiots who just believe what is written in a book or whatever crap we create in our head now are we?

Personally, I wonder about you. Did you not learn Latin? Did you go to Latinland for your understanding of the culture or did you ask one of your boys for that?
