Hello everyone, how true is it that IOM aren't doing upfront medicals anymore for study visa?

Is medical sent via Webform after submitting application accepted?

Ajebogirl:

Thank you.
I did my medicals two weeks before submitting my application. With all that I have seen here, you can do your medicals before or after submitting your application. Your result will be sent to IRCC.

If you submit your application before doing medicals, I think you will need to raise a web form and submit the document given to you by the medical centre.

Please guys I would really appreciate answers to this question nd it's kinda urgent
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by bullstriker: 3:55am On Jun 17
The one you used for the study permit application should suffice, but CBSA seldom asks for a bank statement.
Yes, it can be less than what you used in your application, but it must cover the tuition fee for one year and living expenses.

Please, when you say you need to show a backdated letter of employment with pay slips to your account and evidence, does that mean you have to show a bank statement showing that amount in the pay slip?

Jeboy:
While I agree with you that it is not ideal to claim a situation you cannot defend the ask here is NOT for proof of hometie but proof of Purpose.

Probing Purpose cones first before hometies because even if you are worth over 200 million naira and all the people in your village are your parents and siblings...if your purpose isn't strong you will be rejected. Purpose determines the first reason why you should be considered for the admission so it is very strong.

What he can do here is to approach someone who has an IT company let him get a backdated offer of employment letter with the companys letter head for an entry level IT role and back it up with salary payment to your account which you will also print that you work there. At least 2 months salary payment evidence before you apply.

Also include Leave of absence that shows your employer support your study abroad detailing how it is going to help the company and that your job is guaranteed when you return back. This letter must be written by the company HR or MD. That's how to improve your purpose for applying for the course. This is what I have used before that works. I come in peace.

Also be ready for the HR or MD to be emailed in case there will be need to prove.

Congratulations!

I hope your journey here is fruitful and massively successful.
I wanted to ask, about upfront medical, can one do it after submitting an application?
Did you raise a webform to submit it or it automatically reflected in your account?

As an NCE holder with a teaching experience of 10 years, you can go for a college diploma in early childhood education, the profession has a high demand in Canada. You don't need your NCE transcript, your NCE certificate should be merged with your WAEC/NECO result.
Zihno:
Hello Fam,

Please for someone with NCE and close to 10years teaching experience, what study options are available to them? Can they apply to graduate certificate/diploma program as the requirements is almost always complete of a 2/3 year diploma? Has anyone gone through this route before?

Please help

Please guys I need suggestions on how to go about the reapplication so as to meet up with my resumption date by September 2024

Documents I submitted;
Sop
PAL
Employment letter
Pay slips
Approval of study leave letter
POF of 32k CAD
Sponsorship letter
Sponsors payslips
Sponsors tax letter
Payment of tuition deposit and first semester school fees (total of 12k)
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by somtorizm: 7:47pm On Jun 17
How much is your tuition fees. Have you made a deposit. Are you sponsoring your self or someone his.

You need to show detailed close ties back home.

You need to convince the visa officer why you're taking up the course your studying. Example you can't study English language and applying for visa for an IT course when you don't have any experience or detail explanation on moving forward with the career of change.

Please proof of funds Should be calculated based on the money you have after deduction of your whole school fees.. so please deduct your school fees from your money and see how much you have. Wishing you the best of lucky

If you had time you should request for a GMSC note.

Also you should have a least 80% funds available to you from your sponsor.

Hi somtorizm
My elder brother is the one that would be sponsoring my education in canada
The total cost of my tuition for the 2 years is 36,800CAD
I submitted his Australian passport because he is already a citizen, alongside a POF with 32k CAD and Affidavit of support and letter and a gift deed of 1 plot of land.
Tuition deposit and fees for the first semester already paid by him.

This normally should be your POF, 20,635+20,635+36,800 + Flight tickets= 78,070 + Flight tickets.

Did you brother statement of acc show just about that? Even if can't show all funds, does his statement inflow and payslips shows capability to?

Also, do you have another close relative(s) in naija for home ties? Did your SOP state prospects of going back to your job after completion of studies? Like career advancement, related to the course of study.

Kindly reapply. The fee will be refunded.
You can apply for a reconsideration if you are sure the PAL was included in the application

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by bullstriker: 5:17am On Jun 18
Your application was submitted poorly, as the visa officer identified multiple issues. Some of them are the ability to cover the cost of your education, home ties and your motive for travelling to Canada. Without the details of your application, we cannot pinpoint the issues. So, ordering a GCMS note is a good starting point.

Good morning my people,

Please I want to start my Canada PR process, does it really take up to a year or even more ? Should I just try student route instead ?

Based on the current trend what would be your advice ?

P.S: I am an IT professional with years of experience.

Thank you

No, you can't do biometrics before submitting your application.

After you submit your application, you will receive a biometrics instruction letter that will outline how to give your biometrics.

Please house help me decipher this. I just got the GCMS note. If anyone has been refused with this reason tell me how you were able to beat it

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 1:59pm On Jun 18
Age is not a determining factor. If the applicant meets the requirement the visa will be approved.
Zihno:

Ok. What about getting the visa if the person is 30years old?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 2:04pm On Jun 18
Sorry about this refusal, did you use MBS? Try to reapply using the conventional SOA and make sure all documents are legible. The funds this time should meet the required funds.
