diamond68: You just won the olympics for idiots using the phrase 'extremely comfortable living' for someone that can only afford to pay N3m rent. Are there no luxury houses for N10m-N15m. Why are you even still a tenant?

Firstcitizen:first question - bro it’s port harcourt not Lagos. Even in lekki a 15 million Naira apartment is over the top talk less of port harcourt Second question ? It’s poverty mentality that makes you think being a tenant is a bad thing. Once you have lived abroad and your mind has opened you will see the benefits of renting which are 1- you are not responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the building 2- anytime you get bored of the area you can rent somewhere else after a year 3 - you have more liquid cash for high profit investments because rent is cheap. You have like 400 million Naira sitting in your account that you would have used to build a house. With that much liquid cash you can do all kinds of business 4- if the house burns down it’s not your property |

MrDoGood: Lol, when I was a kid, as a PH boy, I went to the village during a festive period. I was chatting with a friend whose father was a village rich man that some people earn 50k as salary and the guy swore with his life and told me it was impossible. It was at that young age i knew that he was foolish to take such stand out of ignorance. |

In PH that life is highly adaptable is where you're getting financially strained like this. Smh if you're living in GRA, odili road, NAF estate, stadium road, etc there's always an adjoining community where you can find very affordable amenities and even good schools. If you must live like this, consider what might happen if life happens to you. This your scenario is no different from the oil and gas workers, around 2008 ish or so, living so large until when the oil crash happened and a lot of them were laid off. They couldn't sustain their 2million naira duplexes as at then. Be wise chief. 1 Like |

700k is more that enough to take care of that family especially with little kids, Abi watin them one chop?. How ajebuta can they be? The lady is either saving the money, building house, sponsoring family or has a small boy somewhere sucking her dry. Op install proper tracker in that car. Most folks don't know their tracker has microphones installed in which you can activate remotely and listen to all conversation made in or from the vehicle. |

ruffhandu:All I can say is that some women are the cause of their own woes and troubles. Any woman who can't manage her family's resources and help her husband (the man she claims to love) has failed as a wife and mother. I sympathize with you sir |

diamond68: Ode 1- you are not responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the building. Cannot afford to maintain a house so rather rents 2 anytime you get bored of the area you can rent somewhere else after a year. Moves his family from one place to the other and disrupts his kids education by saying he is bored but the truth is he is running from high rent or rent debts. 3 you have more liquid cash for high profit investments because rent is cheap. You have like 400 million Naira sitting in your account that you would have used to build a house. With that much liquid cash you can do all kinds of business. He chipped in N400m to look good only to himself. A figure he can only view in his debt-ridden dreams. 4 if the house burns down it’s not your property. He cannot afford to insure a house hence he runs from pillar to post claiming he does not want his house to get burnt lol Second question ? It’s poverty mentality that makes you think being a tenant is a bad thing. Once you have lived abroad and your mind has opened you will see the benefits of renting which are Finally the imbec!le thinks everyone on this forum lives in Nigeria 1 Like |
