current Cameroon coach, I want to believe the news isn’t true

That's why I ask, it's making the news, and seems the coach is at loggerhead with Eto'o

I don't think Martinez is speaking against the possessive game. He is just explaining it and pointing out it strengths.

What Pep Guardiola actually did was improve players in general and stop individuals from standing out. He made football a team game and not an individual game.

People want an individual game and heroes destroying everybody. Today it is hard for that because everybody is now better and defend better.

It is always the plan of the devil to stamp out our individuality and make us robots. That's his way of mocking God.

I don't get why these Europeans like behaving like animals during tournaments. Here is Turkey and Georgia fans on a full-blown war inside the stadium.

You are missing the point.

Players defend better now. Individually and as a unit. So players are now trained to deal with the improved defending circumstance and that includes being more of a team player than individualistic.

Finito.

If my favorite player ever and the deadliest and most lethal finisher in world football history - Marco Van Basten could retire at a very young age of 25 because of Injury and the world of football did not stop, then Osimhen can retire from the super eagles and the world of Nigerian football will continue, talents abound in Nigeria - he will not be missed more than 6 months trust me!!!!"

I totally agree with your proposition, there has to be consequences for Victor Osimehn's outburst.

However, I don't think Westerhoff threw the camp open but rather he went to watch league games and challenge cup games; and picked up the players who went on to win silver at the Algiers 90 Nations cup

Baba... This your assertion is not true, history actually remembers only those that win.

History remembers who wins and not who dominates.
Chelsea won the champions League in 2012, playing what you would call haram football, in the year 2050, if an 18 year old refers to the history books what he will learn is that Chelsea were champions of Europe in 2012, in 2050 nobody will care ( except academicians) who had 82% possession in the 2012 champions League semifinals.
What people will remember as long as the world exists is that Chelsea won it in 2012... Finito.

Baba in this life, just make sure you win, when all is said and done, history will remember you as a winner, beautiful or not very few will care.

I say again, history remembers who wins, how you won is always secondary.
.

Baba I support you 100%

I salaciously wonder why dis "takataka" of a discussion is taking eternity to die down, the senior forumites are giving baba Goodjoe audience because he was a member of the founding fathers of this thread but if naa baba komekn he would have been lampooned and lambasted to stop.

But I want to ask, is dat not favouritism? Presently is takataka the current problem of Nigeria's football.

Morocco is d first African nation to reach SMF at the World cup do they play takataka?

Funny enough, as much as we hate ourselves in Africa, this shit never happens, though if care is not taken, Morocco and Algeria fans could do worse than this against each other.

Odunayaw, read the comments. I think a time is coming when there's going to be a philosophical revolt against this poison called tiki taka. People are tired of it.

I resist tiki taka not necessarily for footballing reasons. Jacques Ellul in his book the 'Technological Society' predicted just what we are seeing in football today.
The end times football. God deliver us

You’re just ignorant.

These people have been having clashes since before you were born because you see the one when happen for stadium you think say na today e start

Same way a European man would see South African fans beating a Nigerian and think it started that day

Don’t be ignorant, all European clubs has cults/ultras that fight behind close doors but you wouldn’t know anything about that

That's the best world cup by almost all accounts and that final? Absolutely exhilarating. Mbappe and Messi don't know what they did that day. Saga
I watched the highlight of the final few days ago and I kid you not, my heart still gave the gbimgbim feeling. That world cup was not ordinary. But according to Thegoodjoe, there is nothing exceptional about that tourney because of tikitaka.

I like ghen ghen pressing oo. Isn't that Klopp's style especially with his Dortmund side? They played good exciting football. Another person I like his team's style of play is Jupp Hynckes's 2013 Champion's league side. Damn! So direct yet with flair. Then Pellegrini's Man City team. So lavish and breathtaking in their style of play. I like beautiful football oo.

But certainly not tiki taka which isn't beautiful in any way.

Vicmo and Etebo are the only SE players that i think are capable of scoring that Arda Guler screamer. Abi Nacho can?

Please where is Oghenekaro Etebo?

I had extremely high hopes for Etebo, expected him to dominate the Championship and then get into the EPL.

But the Championship seems to have not been a good place for him.

Last I heard he was in the Greek league he only 28 can't understand his drop in form.

At one stage he was the best box to box midfield player we had, I thought he would have been the next Ngole Kante.
