Iamblessed85: Why are you exactly triggered with the OP and his chosen path? You have your perspective and goals as does OP who by all accounts (judging from the 2 threads he created on this migration decision) is a very careful and open minded fellow? Why is it difficult for you to accept your situation and interests are you prerogative and that another adult has a right to his? 2 Likes |

TypicallyBrunt: I am triggered because of his wickedness to his own people. I view him thesame way as our forefathers that sold their kinsmen to slavery. His narrative is a carefully curated one to serve the purpose of God knows who. It’s a sponsored story which is meant to fuel the ongoing narrative of emigration. He is subtly nudging highly skilled workers to throw it all away and go abroad to become handiworkers and cleaners. Of course it favours the host county to have largely skilled immigrants tending to menial labour. They would definitely add more value to the work. In plain terms, if i advertise for a cleaner role in Nigeria and i say the criteria is a CFA or a masters degree, no Nigerian will apply. What if i’m somehow able to get thesame qualification from another country? Well, no one will be interested as well. There’s still a way though. I may be able to pull this if i spread messages of hopelessness across disadvantaged third world countries. Even better if i use one of their own to spread this message so that highly skilled workers over there will think it’s the right thing to do. That’s where OP comes in. You see the level of wickedness against his own people? Usefulsense is NOT an Accountant. He was not on that pay grade. He is a fictional being who is a plant. He may not even be a Nigerian and i wont be surprised if you are him Cc treadway. We are simply up against a huge propaganda machine by the west. 1 Like |

Iamblessed85: I do not hold briefs for OP but the chronology of events on both threads paint a very believable picture. His narrations as well has accurate information only someone in his painted scenario would know so it is easy to believe him than believe you when all you would probably have as evidence of your doubt is your hunch. The OP has also not created only a very rosy picture all through, he has detailed his challenges and struggles as well. I do not approve of every comment he has made as like you, some of them are his personal situation and perspective but it is not difficult to understand he has a right to his opinion on his thread. That OP is happy with his decision to migrate does not immediately make another's decision to not do same wrong, if both truly have the option of choice and are happy in their situations. I'd say you give it a rest now. 4 Likes |

TypicallyBrunt: I agree with you but if i’m right, it means he is leaving others with no choice. It’s a subtle act of manipulation and wickedness. Many times, our hunch is the only thing we have. What we call a hunch is actually the spirit giving you signs. Your spirit can see more than your physical being. The chronology of events is actually the reason why it is suspect. It’s deliberate and carefully planned. The overwhelming and overriding theme of his narrative is that he made the right decision including ditching his skilled training as an Accountant for a forklifting job. He is only 3 months in but yet he is somehow versed with his host country already. He owes no one an explanation yet he came back to continue his tale. I bet he couldn’t wait to continue the rejoinder which was written thesame time as the original event. If Usefulsense was truly an Accountant, he should come and tell me what his role was as a financial controller. 2 Likes |

ednut1: Don't mind that fellow. He is only good at constructing good sentences. He knows nothing about how good and better the life of the OP has become. Australia does not even need people in their country let alone trying to entice you to come. It even got more irritating when he said the western world pays online bloggers to advertise their country to make it good so as to entice people to come. Life is a choice. Let the OP live with the consequences of his decision while you live with yours. For me, the best decision I have made in my entire life is to move to Australia 🇦🇺. 5 Likes 1 Share |

TypicallyBrunt: Hahahahahahaha. You guys know how to dig out information. But the guy is good at writing English sentences judging by his write ups; or, did he fail speaking, reading and listening components? Relocation most times is not by having all the required documents. You still need grace and favour before your VO. I can remember while I was applying for my wife's visa last year in Dubai, we were about 8 people doing the process; but my wife's visa was approved and others were denied. The funny thing is that, my wife was the least qualified among everyone as she did not write IELTS and I did not submit POF to the VO. I only submitted my business license while others submitted both their business license and even more than the required POF but they were still denied Visa on account that the VO was not convinced that the guys would return to their country after their education in Australia. |

OP na Man you be. Congrats. I never even thread on forums like this occasionally but something led to something and I needed to get my attention so quickly here. It's indeed a great insight on your path to dedicated this thread in accordance to your way of life. Pros and Cons of it was your intention upon creating this thread forum. I will gratefully appreciate your devotion and dedication to make it through all hurdles of life. Some are still pass through the backdoor and some are still seeking asylum all in name of learning foreigner language amid no language no pay saga in some part of these third world southern-americas and eastern-europes. Well life isn't a bed of roses and you outnumbered your chances therefore winning the ultimate price by settling in a well developed and equipped environment. Often times I do tell young chaps to learn how to manage resources and be efficient in there endeavours. Recently a friend relocated to Canada and all through out conversation via watsapp I did told him about learning forklifts in lagos or Ghana. After about 4 months he came out with certificate upon completion and today he is in Toronto working in one factory as there lead supervisor in forklift. He earns pretty well and due to the fact I trained him on binaries and tabular using sql. He earns pretty much with an IT firm. Over there everything is working, here in Nigeria we invest more in data and making life easier for the IT industry. |

Iamblessed85: Good morning, bro! I appreciate your opinion on this matter, but relocation is individual decision. I remember being one of the people who encouraged him to join his wife, just as I did two years ago. I found myself in a similar situation—my wife secured a job in the UK with all expenses covered by her employer, which allowed me to join her as a dependent. Like ops, I had my reservations, but I’ve realized that for those of us fortunate enough to have a good wife, family comes first. At the time, I hadn’t planned on joining them because I had a good job in Nigeria with a decent salary and a company-provided car. Everything was going well for me. In November 2022, I finally made the move, and by January 2023, I started working as a finance officer (I was an FCA in Nigeria). That marked the beginning of my finance career in the UK. I immediately registered with ICAEW, a recognized professional body in the UK, and I became qualified this year. After working for a year and four months, I left the company where I started and moved to another company with a higher pay grade as a finance manager. My career in the UK is now aligned with what I was doing before. From my experience, relocation is a humbling process that makes you start over. It typically comes in three stages: the survival stage (first 2-3 years), the stability stage (4-7 years), and the enjoyment stage. You need to adapt to the system. In just two years, I’ve achieved everything I set out to do in the UK. When I left Nigeria, I had two main goals: to get a car and secure a mortgage, both of which I’ve accomplished. I’m now in my stability stage, and I thank God for that. I will always be grateful to Nigeria for providing me with the educational foundation and skills that I’m now using here in the UK. There is nothing wrong in looking for greener pasture, given the situation of the country now, I cant lie to you ,It is best decision of my life which I will be forever be grateful to God for. I am triggered because of his wickedness to his own people. I view him thesame way as our forefathers that sold their kinsmen to slavery. 4 Likes |

Usefulsense: Good morning my Professional colleague. Congratulation that you have finally in Australia. I am happy you took the right decision, don't allow anyone to gaslighting you about what you are doing, You know where you are coming from and where you are going. Our journey in life differs. Most important thing is happiness. As long as you are happy, just continue your own race. I read some where yesterday when Dr. Joe Abah said , he started living a comfortable life at 37years in UK when his salary moved from 25k to 50k. I actually got inspiration from his tweet. So keep pushing and supporting your wife. You will get there...... |

Iamblessed85: I finally got an accounting role with a very good company here in Sydney. I no longer work in the warehouse. Though my current position is much lower than my previous post in Nigeria. However, I am currently studying hard for my CPA. Leaving Nigeria was a perfect decision. 4 Likes |
