I realized in 2021 that being more interested in shorting the market, even though you're in a spot position, generates more money and gives you more peace of mind. Even in a bullrun, the market spends more time going down than going up.

When it wants to go up, it spikes and does it without hesitation, then spends weeks or months consolidating while going down, then spikes again on the upside. This is to frustrate the bulls.

So, it's best to build your strategy praying for the market to go down than up in a bullrun. This can only be achieved if you're into futures.

Supposing you are LONGING SOL when its price was $200, and all of a sudden, it starts dipping. You are 100% sure that SOL can not dip by 100% because 100% of the current price($200) means that SOL will become $0. That is almost impossible unless something is wrong with the SOL. This gives you enough room to strategize your DCA. You can even add more liquidity to your portfolio because you are unafraid.

But you see, SHORTING the market, that one can cause a heart attack. You might enter the market at $10, and that coin might increase by over 500 to 1000 per cent. This makes it very difficult for DCA. You cannot predict when to start using DCA because if you enter the wrong time, that is more wahala to dead body.

I have to admit that you get mind to appreciate "SHORTING" to "LONGING".
