It's been a week now since 11th June I pre-ordered.

32k has been debited but not heard from them.
How long before I get any call from Starlink team?

are you in Lagos? if yes, dont bother, Lagos is congested. but if you insist you must have it, then cancel and go and source from Konga and Jumia , its the same thing. just that you wont get a 1 month free sub and FYI -only roaming plan is available in Lagos for now.

I go wait for the Gen 3 before buying Starlink

Gen 3 doesn't have the actuator. it requires manual adjustment and its USD599. Think twice!

Hello my elders in the house, please I need your help, I got a starlink from someone few days ago, the device came to me today and on testing it, I noticed it’s showing me offline although the previous owner was in Lagos and I’m in a different state , the device app is asking me to check or replace the cables to the outdoor unit, at first I thought the seller sold me a bad device but on checking the device past usage I noticed he used about 490GB from his last subscription , I’ve tried every possible thing, all to no avail, I’ll appreciate if you guys can advice me on what to do as I have an active subscription running on the account, please 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🤧

Get a repeater to boost the signal to your house i.e if the two houses are close to each other. Else you might want to go the more expensive route of getting external antenna i.e if your neighbors will agree cox it will cost him money to buy other device to make that possible.

Thanks for your input. I can't see his Wi-Fi signal from my room so the second option is the only option.

What kind of external antenna do we both need to have. Pictures or link to see this will be much appreciated please. Thank you

I think you have to change your address online. I'm not too sure.

Hi, is this still available?
naijalodge:
i've got a lagos registered starlink i just bought from someone who got it last year, its very neat, willing to sell it to a lagos residence since i don't stay in lagos so you can subscribe the regular residential plan, then i'll use the money to order mine and register it to my location since there's available space in the state where i stay. note that by this time tomorrow, i probably must have transferred the residence to my state meaning this offer might not be available anymore as u might not be able to go back to the lagos address...

I am currently getting like 7-15 mbps on speed tests but really when I download , it is usually hard to get 1mbps speeds. Which is confusing.

I think I am the only one with SL in this area, and I still have network issue maybe na the obstruction

I have an Open box Starlink Ethernet Adapter (Never used before)…. I bought it thinking I will have a spot in my house that won’t have access to Starlink wifi coverage….

I am also selling it with the Starlink Router mount and the Ethernet adapter mount I ordered last year from Amazon….

I do not need the mount again since it didn’t come on time before getting it another one

Everything goes for 65k

If you are in UYO better but if you are in another state you will be responsible for the waybill

The ethernet adapter is the one for external router right?

I ordered my Starlink from Jumia and I reside in Omoku/Rivers State where I'm making use of the device.
Prior to mounting the device, at ground level when I did my speed test I got about 79 Mbps after mounting the device on a pole I was expecting to get at least above 100Mbps to my utmost surprise the speed dropped to below 70 Mpbs.

Please gurus in the house I need your help on how to troubleshoot the problem

I had 150+ ground level, up my water tank it never gets to 100... maybe give it time

Hello guys,

I am planning to order this week but it's at full capacity in my area.

My questions:
1. If I order directly, how soon could it be delivered and will it work in my area nonetheless

2. If I order directly from Jumia, will it work in my location and can I still possibly get residential plan.

I am still confused and will appreciate if I can talk to someone.

Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by ibietela2(m): 9:38pm On Jun 22
If you order from Jumia or Konga you will get it on time but you will do ROAM plan.

If you go through Starlink they will put you in a waiting list

starlink support is the best I’ve ever seen in my life, can’t believe after laying a complaint to them, they placed an order for a new 75ft cable for me at no cost, I have never seen a customer service this awesome, not in Nigeria, not in Africa🤧

Please any recommendations for power backup that is reliable and cost effective?

I am looking to get a 50k bluegate ups or something in that range. I just need a reliable power backup for my starlink that can provide 1 hour of uptime only, but can do so consistently for a long time

I just need something for minor power interruptions. Rarely longer than 30 minutes. But long term reliability is my fear.

Any experienced person to give their take or recommended alternatives?

Please can I ask a question?

On the Starlinks website, it shows my location in Kwara State is available....

I plan to pack my unit and take it to my location in Abuja ( where i am. But my location in FCT shows the attached....

I am worried that it might not work.

My unit is on the way to Kwara from Konga.

Well, depending on the part of Abuja. Within Municipal council (AMAC), No. But if he intends to use it in Kuje, Gwagwalada, Abaji, Kwali, he should be fine.

My location in Abuja is showing "Starlink at capacity...." trash but I have been using it since may 10th without issues. If your device isn't already registered to kwara, then you can use it here in Abuja.

Did you order from Starlink or bought from Jumia or Konga?
I am torn between ordering from Jumia/Konga for which I will be stuck with a more expensive roaming plan or rather join the waiting list (which entitles me to Residential, cheaper by 10k) for which I have no idea when it may get to me? Can someone give me a candid advice?
