She was gorgeous and had a hot body, she was the favourite of her hubby yet she didn’t last in marriage! It appears beauty is not enough!

Rachel was beautiful in face and body( Gen 29:17). Her physical appearance swept Jacob off his feet and he worked 14yrs to have her as wife!

She was also a hardworking lady, a shepherdess(Gen 29:9). Jacob loved her work ethics.

Rachel however had some flaws which probably because of her looks were overlooked by Jacob!

1- Stealing and Idolatry
Gen 31: 19 When Laban had gone to shear his sheep, Rachel stole her father’s household gods.

2- Lying and deceit
Gen 31:34,35
34 Now Rachel had taken the household gods and put them inside her camel’s saddle and was sitting on them. Laban searched through everything in the tent but found nothing.
35 Rachel said to her father, “Don’t be angry, my lord, that I cannot stand up in your presence; I’m having my period.” So he searched but could not find the household gods.

3- Jealousy
Gen 30:1 When Rachel saw that she was not bearing Jacob any children, she became jealous of her sister.

4- Unhealthy Competition with her Sister
Gen 30:7 Rachel’s servant Bilhah conceived again and bore Jacob a second son.
8 Then Rachel said, “I have had a great struggle with my sister, and I have won.” So she named him Naphtali.

5- Mental health struggles/Desperation
Gen 30:1. So she said to Jacob, “Give me children, or I’ll die!”

Rachel was an uncommon beauty but had her flaws just like all of us. She sadly died after the birth of her second son Benjamin! She sadly did not live long enough to enjoy her marriage! It was devastating for Jacob as well!

Jacob unknowingly cursed Rachel to death when Laban pursued and asked about his stolen gods

31 Jacob answered Laban, “I was afraid, because I thought you would take your daughters away from me by force. 32 But if you find anyone who has your gods, that person shall not live. ……Now Jacob did not know that Rachel had stolen the gods.

Leah who was not favoured initially eventually became the number one and gave Jacob six sons and a daughter!

Rachel was Jacob's choice but Laban didn't want her to get married before her elder sister which is not necessary Leah started sleeping with her husband from the day they got married that's why she had many sons before seven years when Laban later gave Rachel to the same man.

The mistake Rachel made was nursing the idea that Leah stole her man because she's the one Jacob love not Leah had it been she refused to marry him after having her sister she wouldn't have been through all those troubles.

Later God told the Israelite men not to repeat what Jacob did to the two daughters of Laban:

She shouldn't have agreed to marry her sister's husband since Jacob has been sleeping with Leah!

Do you know about New testament? That's when Jesus came.

Why is there no upgrade till now? For example when Christianity came to Africa, it stop the killing of twins and offering of sacrifices, it help introduce medicines too and recovery rate was high unlike the traditional methods.

Well your submission that Leah was with Jacob 7 years before Rachel came into the picture is not all that correct. Jacob served 14 years actually for her, but he started staying with her as his wife from the same time Leah was given to him, while still serving to complete the 7 years. Read carefully you will discover it's so.

So Rachel actually had a delay in child bearing which made her to give her maid to Jacob to bare a child for her.

That the colonizers adopted Christianity as tool was because they knew they needed something to control the mind of those who they want to enslave. And Christianity was available.
