Can 1TB last one for a year?

I am considering subscribing Mtn 1TB data plan for 100k.I think in the long run it saves money.

I have been using it since Nov. 2023 and it has saved me the stress of subscriptions every month. Mine will most likely finish in July, so in essence, I burned through 1TB in 8 months. That's about 12k per month for 128gb.

You will truly enjoy your smart TV with fibre internet services (Unlimited)
If you live in an areas where you can access fibre internet services, pls do so.

With 13k should be able to subscribe to their min service (18mbps)
I use these at multiple locations
FibreOne
Direct Broadband

Installation of Starlink would cost you over ₦40 0k. And I think there's a ₦30k+ monthly fee. Good side is it's unlimited; monthly is monthly..no expiration midway.

Secondly, if you are on MTN, you could do a 150gb for ₦16k monthly on a MiFi (or your personal device then share hotspot). Dial *121# for the offer from MTN.

Either way, both the smart tv, Starlink and DSTv are expensive. I use them and I can tell you there's no cheaper option.

I stopped using DSTv too tho since I watched only football with it. I use a free app to stream Live Matches now.

Meanwhile, if you are the movie type, you can download Movie Box on Appstore or Playstore and download movies free. Any movies.

If you follow a tv program or want a larger selection of movies (selected for you), DSTv can help. There is a movie package too.

Netflix is also expensive but can give you latest movies too and you can't find every movie you want there cos some are on Amazon, HBO, Disney etc. You'd do a monthly subscription plus data.

Cheers.

One love

Take it to the shop,
They have direct access to DSTV server,
They will upgrade it sharp sharp.
I have done that severally.
It usually occurs when ever your decoder is not connected or upgraded for a long period of time, one month and above.
That installer na criminal.

Well was also told the decoder was faulty at their office too.

Had to upgrade to their latest decoder for 22k, and couldn't wait to switch it on to the Euros grin

You probably did the "Data Based" and not "Speed Based". Reach out to Airtel to change your plan ONLY on the 5G Router.

It was speed based bro. Used it twice and abandoned it. I even called them. The one of 20k on their 5G router

I'm also on the search for the most affordable monthly plan for smart TV and laptop. We got an MTN router and did one plan for 8k and the data got exhausted by the next day. How can one unlock the router so I can do the unlimited Airtel subscription?

Re: My Experience Using A Smart TV by Hayfield26: 4:40pm On Jun 24
I think my concern on this has always been value for money in terms of quality content. DSTV subscriptions categories come with discouraging content, despite being in a market that's very large. However, PAYG would have been the best thing that can happen to it.

Besides, I feel it's just preferrable to buy data and just choose whatever you like or want to watch and not be limited to severally repeated programs or boring channels on DSTV.

Use smart TV they say,
Only mumu dey use DSTV.

sorry not that expensive but the quality matters .....

Many of you watch yoir movies in 4k,2k and 1080p .. am sorry your data would run out

Try to choose quality of 360p ,480p,540p or 720p which is HD...

Attimes for tv and series i dont even use upto 4gb in a Day .. even with football matches atmost 5gb ... Thats is if i devide to watch for 15 hrs non stop whixh is quite impossible
Re: My Experience Using A Smart TV by Banbanna(m): 4:50pm On Jun 24
Well, I'm really not a heavy data user and don't have anyone in mind other the ones have seen on this thread so far. I was only suggesting that maybe you should go for a sub a little less than your present one since you'd always end up not exhausting it before expiration.
Btw, gifting some of those data to ur loved ones is a good gesture.

Installing favorable regimes by what means o? By brutal invasion.. The reason Russia invaded Ukraine is because of the fear of NATO weapons and all at its doorstep.

It can be by helping to organise a coup, sowing discord to overthrow a regime, destabilising a regime, assassinating the head, etc. There are many tactics in this playbook.

Your mistake is using the smart TV pre installed apps. What guys with tech know-how are doing is just get Amazon firestick and connect to the TV, then subscribe unlimited data. With firestick it consumes less data and you still have more TV channels at your disposal. Do your research
Firestick and Android Smart Box, which consume more data?
Re: My Experience Using A Smart TV by Akposkiz: 5:56pm On Jun 24

It's annoying how most Nigerian ISPs(fibre incl) can't even stream 1080p full hd without buffering. In other countries, people are streaming 4k comfortably and even 8k. And they mostly don't offer truly unlimited plans(it always has a hidden FUP). The ISPs have dealt with us so badly that people on this thread are talking about watching videos in 480p, a video quality that was released in the 80s 💀. Anything lower than 720p is trash to me. Hopefully one day our ISPs get better.

Stop deceiving yourself, that much data cannot drain in 4 days, maybe you don't Know the amount of data you subscribed for.
It baffled me also. I did glo 525gb on June 06 and till date, i have not reach 50gb and I use same data on phone and android smart box at home.

I've only been using "X88 Pro 10" and I bought it around 6k 8years ago. I guess they all do the same thing. I haven't tried others so it's difficult to recommend, however, just like phones, there are high end TV boxes such as Apple and Nvidia Shields boxes. And so many things also account for the price differences too. E.g Storage Capacity, RAM, operating systems and versions.

If you're going to be downloading lots of movies, you may want to consider the one with high storage capacity. It all depends on your need and taste.
Wow, 6k 8years ago and I recently bought the X88 Pro13 on Jumia for 57k with delivery 4gb ram and 64gb storage.

You can only enjoy a smart TV in fullest if you have access to unlimited data subscription. In Ikorodu, I use Proline optical fiber N15k monthly for 10mps unlimited.

FiberOne optical fibre charges N13k monthly for their unlimited subscription for residential too.

How was it set up and at what cost?

You just got it last week and you already know it’s unlimited all through the month without data throttling?

Come on now.

Yes, I commented based on my experience within the time we got it.

Like I said earlier, for the first time in years we are not bothered about data because we are heavy data users in our house and I know how much we would have spent within that 1week.

It might interest you to know we're still using it till now and enjoying the package.

Thank you.

There are free IPTV. I don't know why you are dashing someone €45. And if you know how to configure Kodi, your world of entertainment has just begun!

Download Kodi from official app store and install super repo addons. You can send me €20 for this info.

Can you please help with the free IPTV?

Thank you.
