Yeah I just saw your link. You should learn to read links you post so you can be better informed of issues. The woman said in the link you posted that the Emir on his deathbed told his son Nasiru to provide her and her children with a house and upkeep. Now in Islamic law, a man's will must be fulfilled by whoever he appointed as executor which in this case will be Nasiru. In fact, it is in the Quran and I have posted it below for you. So, the woman is not asking for a share of inheritance as wrongly believed but a fulfillment of what the former Emir willed on his deathbed. Those guys refusing to carry out the Emir's wishes are on the wrong side of Islamic law

Her mum hails from Auchi, they're very wealthy but nothing lasts forever. If you knew Tony miomoh, you'd understand better. This is just a life lesson. Yesterday, it was MKO's children. Today, another one from a notable family . Just do your best in life to make all your children comfortable and independent before you leave. Give them best education too. By time you're gone, they wouldn't even look at your inheritance.

You guys don't even understand the goings-on in the society. While many are exhibiting tribalism on nairaland, there are a lot of Nigerians who are closer to other tribes than a common man on NL is. She had cried out to the people she knew, when her dad was around. Alex Ottis is a successful banker, SLS too and he's dad had sat on the board of their banks when alive. The bond must be very strong for calling the 2 for assistance. I may be wrong, the governor of Kano may not be known or close to this lady and their family when her dad was alive. I've never heard of his name until he vied for Kano governorship.

When MKO's son was involved in financial scam, it was his dad's ally whom his mum and siblings called. Lagos state governor was there but they didn't call him, maybe because he wasn't known to them when their dad was around. Not that the governor wouldn't have helped if approached too.
