Palm oil is the only food product whose price hasn't increased despite inflation, thanks to its production in the southeast. 274 Likes 30 Shares |

Honestly, this isn't easy work o. If you know the work that goes into extracting palm oil ehn, you'd value every single drop. The part of the work I dislike the most is picking out the palm fruit from the bunch. 🥺 Chai! Village life is awesome. 🙂 175 Likes 16 Shares |

shortgun: Edo state alone produces more palm oil than the entire South East... Y'all need to learn some humility. AdaPalm is the largest in the south east, with just a palm plantation of 4,310 hectares, Okomu Oil & Presco are both located in Edo state, they're the largest producers so far. Okomu alone has 12,500 hectares of palm plantation... 107 Likes 14 Shares |

Nigeria is a great country with bad and super corrupt leaders who are being followed by bigots. Indonesia came to us in the 70s to learn about oil palm production. Our leader even gave them some seedlings after the training to take back home. Today, Indonesia is the world largest exporter of palm oil. Amazingly, Nigerians import palm oil from Indonesia to meet the ever-increasing local demand 7 Likes 1 Share |

Nigerians are trying, We just do not have enough mechanized farming feeding the nation. Small subsistent agriculture is what is feeding the nation. It out not to ne so. 1 Like |

But why hasn’t the price one gallon of palm oil gone up by 3X like every other food item? Aren’t the producers buying from the same market or is the production cost (diesel for the engine, cost of transportation to the market) cheaper? The poster below me is funny. There no point comparing SE & SS palm oil. However if you want to compare, give SS especially AKS their flowers for palm oil production. The few that are still producing are doing it well. 3 Likes |
