Nigeria is a great country with bad and super corrupt leaders who are being followed by bigots.

Indonesia came to us in the 70s to learn about oil palm production. Our leader even gave them some seedlings after the training to take back home. Today, Indonesia is the world largest exporter of palm oil. Amazingly, Nigerians import palm oil from Indonesia to meet the ever-increasing local demand grin grin grin

This talk belief has gone on for so long, people now believe it as true.

Not all villages in yorubaland produces oil in commercial quantity. Stop lying online.
I am from Ekiti so I know what I am saying.
Palm tree is a very common economic street in South East and Akwacross. Almost every family
and compound grows it there just like the way we grow cocoa.
.
Tell another lie 🤥😂

Edo state alone produces more palm oil than the entire South East... Y'all need to learn some humility.

AdaPalm is the largest in the south east, with just a palm plantation of 4,310 hectares, Okomu Oil & Presco are both located in Edo state, they're the largest producers so far. Okomu alone has 12,500 hectares of palm plantation...

You are a novice. Do u know that palm oil is largely produced in the South West? The Yorubas produce their own oil from Ondo, Ekiti, Osun and Oyo.

To be frank, you can't classify that of the southwest as palm oil as I can't use it to cook

Even the one from the Southeast, honestly a friend of mine bought 5 litres from Anambra for me while she travelled go village, I could not use it. I dashed it out because it had an odour I resented. I had to go buy banga oil to manage. Banga oil does not make my stew red. That day I called my mom to buy from Akure which was delivered to me 3 days after in Abuja.

Honestly, this isn't easy work o.
If you know the work that goes into extracting palm oil ehn, you'd value every single drop.

The part of the work I dislike the most is picking out the palm fruit from the bunch. 🥺

Chai! Village life is awesome. 🙂
Honestly, I don't remember the picking of the fruit part when I was young. The part I remember is the dancing part that has now been mechanized. In my days, there was no machine, they put it on big wooden bowl and you will be dancing and sweating. It was quite a task at the time.
Re: How Palm Oil Is Produced In South Eastern Nigeria (video/pictures) by Gilgil: 4:22pm On Jun 25
Have you considered individual producers? Every 2nd family has a mini oil mill in the southeast. A small company of 5 people in SE can produce 5-10 tons a year.
village clans and age grades have combined oil palm production businesses on an SME level.

Even though the big companies have higher production in SS than Adapalm etc, their people scarcley produce at these enterprising levels prevalent in the SE

You guys beat your chest too much. Commot my front abeg, where is your own data?

Agricultural land in the South South is probably larger than the entire South East and most of it is for palm.

Still no proof.
Abeg, the SE makes far more oil than you.
Also, we have better quality oil, that's a national anthem. Ch.oke on that

Okay. I can give you the nameof my father's compound and I can tell you a lot more.
I am speaking based on facts that south east and Akwacross has more oil plan tree and production than anywhere in Nigeria.
I visited village in Anambra and almost every family compound has small scale oil mill, just how almost every family in Ekiti has oko cocoa.
The fact is that Edo has larger oil plantation when you combine okomu and presco plantation, but that doesn't equate to production.

But if you vex me by telling more lies on here I will invoke olota lu le Ado on you angry

Palm oil is the only food product whose price hasn't increased despite inflation, thanks to its production in the southeast.
The SE does not have as much palm oil as Edo. The SE may compete with the SW but I have a strong feeling that the SW will prevail ahead of the SE. Yet, the Edo’s are not bragging, and the SW too are not bragging.
Your tribe should follow Reno Omokri’s teachings and learn to be humble.
