Check where there’s provision to input link, username and password.

Alternatively, Download another app. I’ve used one app like that & it didn’t work. Look for iPTV Live, download it. Go to settings click on add playlist select enter xtreme code, input the link username and password. It should work

E go drink your data. Especially those UHD & 4k channels. Only few channels are SD which might consume less

Oh, I see where the issue is for you. You are using LG Smart TV! Foremost, that will scoop your data like vampires and will also limit what you can do with your screen. Get Android Smart Box and connect it to the TV instead. Remove all wifi logins and connections on you LG TV and transfer them unto the smart box. Now, the smart box is exactly your phone! Right now, I'm writing this message right on my TV screen using the smart box. I reply my whatsapp messages via smart box, I have my facebook on my smart box etc...Virtually anything you can do on your phone can be done on your smart box. In other words, the smart box now works like a desktop CPU while the TV act as the screen. All you need to add for comfort and convenience is a wireless keyboard.

You will never be able to get so many things on LG Smart TV! It's operating system is Webos. And just like Hisense Operating system VIDAA, you can only do within the limits they offer.

Once you get Android smart box and download Kodi, you will be able to watch even channels from heaven. If you have an android phone, you can test Kodi to have a feel of what it's like. It's quite challenging configuring "Super repositories" if you're not tech inclined, but there are step-by-step guides on the internet....just do a google search on how to configure Kodi repositories. I can give you some amazing "repo" later

I spend 20k monthly on Glo data, and that caters for every TV viewing in the house, every phone connections to wifi (a family of 5), all the latest movies to watch and download, all premium live matches and leagues from all over the world. The kids have unlimited cartoons and in many languages.....What more? There are adult channels and some are even live on cam to chat with. "I particularly like Lucy of xxxsensual.

Attached is picture of TV boxes. I use "X88 Pro 10", but there are high end and pricy ones too like the Nvidia Shields. That's what you need to enjoy IPTV free of charge to the fullest including all f****kn premium channels all over the globe and in heavens and not the smart TV!

Wow, 6k 8years ago and I recently bought the X88 Pro13 on Jumia for 57k with delivery 4gb ram and 64gb storage.

Inflation is killing everything! I guess Pro 13 is the latest version of the X88, but Android has reached version 15, so if there's any box of the latest android version, I would suggest you go for that one. I got the X88 Pro 10 with 128gb storage though because I like to download movies.

I dont have much visitors, 16k for 120G to 150G is more dan enough, Just me, my wife and Smart TV.
16K not bad for me sha bc I consider fact dat I work frm home, no trnsportation n snacks money in office..and also no need to sub for my wife again or sub for DSTV so its a win-win sir

So this thread made FP...

Thanks for the suggestions to reduce the resolution. I typically go for the highest and I have never messed with this TV's settings since it was installed.

I would go with the Starlink suggestion. Cheaper and/or faster internet service. I can work effectively and also enjoy my smart TV without any add ons. The TV has been bought and it has to be utilised to its full capacity. I hate stress and once protocol gets involved, I lose interest.

And for the people saying I am lying over the data consumption, it seems some of you are just funny or plain incapable of critical reasoning. That you use 2GB for 2 years with your 10 kids doesn't mean everyone would do same. An i4 and V8 cars are both capable of moving, but they won't consume same fuel for 50km. Please, if you are not grounded on a subject, just sit it out. Rather than calling someone a liar.

Thank you!

2gb with your kids?

Not possible.

Kids are bonafide data killers. You like talk, reason shout - they will burn your data.

Most of the smart boxes have 2USB ports, Yes, you can connect wireless USB keyboard in one and wireless USB mouse in the other.

If you need more USB ports, you can get USB port extension adaptor.

I suggest that you download Showmax so that you may watch the newest films and cast them on your smart TV.

I don't really have time to watch my DSTV which is running on Compact Plus.... When I have some free time, I simply launch the Showmax app, choose a live match or interesting movie, and cast it to my laptop.

The only time I make use of my DSTV is to vote for my Friend at Nigeria Idol, or to Stream Simon's Snake in the City show.
Re: My Experience Using A Smart TV by Konquest: 4:07am On Jun 26
MrBrownJay1:
unless you have unlimited data, using a smart TV for watching content is useless... and might as well stay with DSTV.

if you do have unlimited data, you can easily get an IPTV app on your smart TV and watch channels/movies/series/sport etc from all over the world.
Re: My Experience Using A Smart TV by Konquest: 4:08am On Jun 26
MrBrownJay1:

true... very expensive (thus beats the purpose)

IPTV is a term for apps out there that will give you all the channels of the world on your device (premium Movie channels, premium sport, premium series and documentary, children and adult content etc from everywhere around the world... some are free, but most have a small fee. i pay €45 per year, for unlimited content... i wonder why people with unlimited internet still pay for cable TV. here is what i wrote on the subject a while ago:

Impressive takes.

Installation of Starlink would cost you over ₦400k. And I think there's a ₦30k+ monthly fee. Good side is it's unlimited; monthly is monthly..no expiration midway.

Secondly, if you are on MTN, you could do a 150gb for ₦16k monthly on a MiFi (or your personal device then share hotspot). Dial *121# for the offer from MTN.

Either way, both the smart tv, Starlink and DSTv are expensive. I use them and I can tell you there's no cheaper option.

I stopped using DSTv too tho since I watched only football with it. I use a free app to stream Live Matches now.

Meanwhile, if you are the movie type, you can download Movie Box on Appstore or Playstore and download movies free. Any movies.

If you follow a tv program or want a larger selection of movies (selected for you), DSTv can help. There is a movie package too.

Netflix is also expensive but can give you latest movies too and you can't find every movie you want there cos some are on Amazon, HBO, Disney etc. You'd do a monthly subscription plus data.

Cheers.
Great insights.
