santaclaws:See why most of you tribalist are dvmb. Isn't Asaba just a neighbouring town to onitsha? Isn't Asaba a transit town to Anambra State? Please try to travel or read at least if you can't afford it. I even had my NYSC in Delta State. |

Surely there has got to be an easier faster way to extract palm oil from palm kernels If not for the perseverance of the the Wright brothers the aeroplane would not have been invented. So, there is always a better way of doing things. If we want to break open a coconut, the old school method was to smash it on a concrete floor and risk losing all the water but one day I stumbled upon a Youtube video that showed that there are natural groove lines on the coconut that if tapped hard enough will allow you to remove the hard shell just like you are peeling it off. 2 Likes 1 Share |

santaclaws:You are looking at the major dealers. Have you taken in account trust there are many mini oil producers scattered all over the south east? People produce this locally in their home. Even in my mum's village there a. Lot of people doing this. I spent two years in edo. State. And can tell it's not the same level production -, wise |

santaclaws: This post reminds me of an Ibibio man who bragged that Akwa Ibom has more oil palm trees than every other state. How can a state which has no major corporation extracting and refining palm oil have more palm trees than Edo and Cross River? Nigerians generally brag foolishly. A recent article has it that refiners in Akwa Ibom go to Abia to buy palm fruits. GorillaApp: All you have stated is NOT TRUE. Edo state produces more palm oil than anywhere in Nigeria. And yes, the presence of Okomu and Presco is enough to judge because these companies depend on outgrowers - small scale farmers who supply to major corporations. Without these corporations, the presence of small scale oil palm entrepreneurs would be minuscule. https://pindfoundation.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Mapping-of-Oil-Palm-Clusters-in-Niger-Delta-States-of-Nigeria.pdf https://www.premiumtimesng.com/investigationspecial-reports/604438-special-report-nigerias-oil-palm-sector-struggling-as-demands-surge.html?tztc=1 |

Why aren't PRESCO and Okomu Oils present in the Southeast? These are major corporations in the business. This is like Nigeria being Africa's biggest oil producer, yet no oil major operates in Nigeria. This braggadocio by many ignorant, naive and loud Igbos is one major k-leg of Igbo people. The braggadociousness is nauseating especially when not backed by facts. |

Funkyswagzz: He LIED! People should not lie. This is the Internet not anyone's papa house. If you must put out an information, do so accurately. The Southeast is not Nigeria's major palm oil producing region. That is a fact. It is not being anti-Igbo (I am Igbo), but accurate information must be stated, especially in a public forum. |
Re: How Palm Oil Is Produced In South Eastern Nigeria (video/pictures) by Gerrard59(m): 7:51am On Jun 26 |
BabaAgba79: This is not true. Apart from Ondo, no state in the Southwest produces palm oil than Edo, Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Cross River. Note: Not as combined. Edo state out-wits Ondo effortlessly. |

Well, as I have stated countless times, the average Nigerian is very unintelligent and at best is a braggadocious miscreant. Very unintelligent people who debate foolishly, ignorantly and to worsen it, very arrogantly. Someone has to put a stop to this madness! |

Dshocker:you are the ignoramus here, which major palm oil company operates in the whole of South East? Name one please. Meanwhile Edo land covers over 3 South East states put together if it's by land mass. Companies that are quoted on NSE is what you are comparing with some irrelevant household producion. It's only in Edo state that you would travel several kilometres covered with palm tree plantations. |
