Even the one from the Southeast, honestly a friend of mine bought 5 litres from Anambra for me while she travelled go village, I could not use it. I dashed it out because it had an odour I resented. I had to go buy banga oil to manage. Banga oil does not make my stew red. That day I called my mom to buy from Akure which was delivered to me 3 days after in Abuja.

Even in my mum's village there a. Lot of people doing this. I spent two years in edo. State. And can tell it's not the same level production -, wise

This post reminds me of an Ibibio man who bragged that Akwa Ibom has more oil palm trees than every other state. How can a state which has no major corporation extracting and refining palm oil have more palm trees than Edo and Cross River? Nigerians generally brag foolishly. A recent article has it that refiners in Akwa Ibom go to Abia to buy palm fruits.



All you have stated is NOT TRUE. Edo state produces more palm oil than anywhere in Nigeria. And yes, the presence of Okomu and Presco is enough to judge because these companies depend on outgrowers - small scale farmers who supply to major corporations. Without these corporations, the presence of small scale oil palm entrepreneurs would be minuscule.
