Have you seen the problem.. u guys are so quick to tag Igbos as bad people. When you stop attacking Igbos the problem in this country is half solved

Me no understand your post. I am Igbo, and I am telling you that based on the available information online from reputable sources, the Southeast is not the major palm oil producer in Nigeria.

The original post stated that inflation has not increased in palm oil due to the production in the Southeast, but the reality is that the region isn't the major producer. Why is this difficult to accept?

InyinyaAgbaOku:

Did you take into account independent oil producers in each area? Smh

Independent oil producers actually depend more on major producers to sustain their production and harvest of palm fruits regardless of seasonal demand. Apart from the moribund AdaPalm, there is no major (privately owned) palm oil company that operates in the Southeast.

This is Tolaram in Edo state: https://thebusinessyear.com/interview/pawan-sharma-ceo-west-africa-tolaram-group/ The same Edo state where TWO profitable palm oil companies - Okomu Oils and Presco - operate. Also, here is Wilmar with hectares in Cross River: https://www.nipc.gov.ng/2018/08/03/pz-wilmars-palm-oil-investment-in-cross-river-is-approximately-150m/

So, I ask, if the Southeast is Nigeria's major palm oil producing region, how come major palm oil companies are not operating plantations in the region? Saudi Arabia has the most crude oil reserves, wouldn't it shock you if major crude oil firms are not operating in Saudi Arabia?

The bolded is what I want you to understand. The guy never claimed southeast is the highest producers and I believe that's why all of you are attacking him. Maybe you guys included that part with your imagination. No one is talking about highest producers his post is simple and direct

Agreed. I had to go back to the original post. However, others doubled down on that slope and defended the false claim.
