hello, abeg my brother attending cimt college in Toronto and no job since 3 month now and the school fees and rent is neck breaking …please if anybody know any tips or link on how he can get cheaper rent like 200 to 250 per month maximum even if na just bed space around Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton because currently his paying 500 in a shared room which is too much considering the exchange rate from naira to Canadian dollar na young boy…l beg anybody with useful tip should help us ooo
you cant find 250 cad accommodation. Only Indians run that kind of package with four in a room. What happened to the proof of funds he showed during application? The CIMT is also not eligible for PGWP. He will end up seeking asylum.

If you don’t have money to sustain yourself for at least 6 months stop applying to Canada.

The guy in question probably thought that let me enter canada first. Start working and pay my tuition. And i will save for another PGWP school . Now he cant find work to complete his initial fees. If you tell people reality they will say you don't want them to come

Technically IRCC expect applicants to show Tuition + Living expenses + miscellaneous (say 3000Cad) about 40,000cad plus or minus depending on the tuition cost - for first years only and then show documentary evidence of where subsequent funds will come from.

In your case as a self sponsor it will be good to show all funds for the year 2 another 40,000cad or thereabout representing - The tuition, living expenses plus extra. Otherwise you can add a sponsor

This is just my opinion based on my self experience.
Since you have the tuition for the second year and about 20k CAD , why not make your POF easier for yourself and simplified for the VO by paying the complete tuition for your 2 years of study and also do a GIC of 20k to cover for your living expenses. As simple as this sounds, it is a definitive statement that your fund is not only available but accessible for the intended purpose, it also demonstrates that you really intend to study and will not depend on the job market to pay for your study .
Imagine presenting POF documents starting with your school official receipts for your full year of study supported by GIC to cover your living expenses, the VO will surely be interested in believing your SOP and of course your application.
Peace!

Hello house, For those who have applied using the second portal and had an employment history in IT, Product Design, Product Management and Software Engineering fields, in the Work/Activity input field, what option did you choose during your application because there's no option for us. I initially chose Arts, Culture, Recreation etc option but I'm not sure if this is the best option that covers my employment history Work/Activity.

Hello @ Daveconsult007
Congratulations!

When submitting your online student permit application, did you also complete the Schedule 1 - Temporary Resident Visa (IMM 5257) form?
Could you please provide your timeline, the dates you applied and received your Passport Request notification?
Did you provide a bank statement showing a minimum balance of $20,635 CAD equivalent in Naira, as proof of available funds, and you also paid the full 1-year tuition fees?
Thank you.

Sue I’m sorry I’m very confused because I’ve to go borrow money to run the naira account to get up to 7 or 8 m it’s really painful the response I’m getting from even family members and friends I’m not suppose to have anything to do with . Once again I’m really sorry!!

Hello BillQ,

I shouldn't have responded to this, but my attention was brought to this post by some individuals here (monikers withheld). There are screenshots of all correspondence via WhatsApp texting where series of advice was issued to this person who has created more than one Nairaland account to lay out concerns that resembles the defamation of character.

You cannot secure a service and don't listen to advice and counselling regarding how to present your POF and run your account. Since you decided to draw public sympathy through a medium that directly defames my character and belittles my professionalism, and since you say your account has steady inflows, I urge you to send your account statement to any regular contributor(s) here for review.

True, you paid your full fees of about $18k and have about $26k as a sitting balance, the question is does your bank account inflows show continuous and gradual inflows that accumulated to the sitting bank bakance?! Your case of paying the fees and having a huge sitting bank balance without historical inflows is the same as having continuous inflows that doesn't accumulate to a sufficient sitting bank balance. Those (individuals and agencies) from NL who have worked with me understand the level of professionalism I put into my craft. I don't take this type of belittling act lightly, especially from someone who don't listen.

I will emphatically say to you that this was not the best way for you to handle this because you painted a belittling image for the NL forum to run with, especially when your GCMS notes have been requested and advice on how to (re-)present your funds given to you extensively. True, you paid for the service but it is not a ground to belittle me, my character, and my professionalism on this NL ground after extensive behind-the-scenes correspondences on the way forward transparently.

I understand that a refusal is devastating but it doesn't warrant this behaviour from you when full attention, response, and advice to all your private queries are given almost immediately. Now you have the NL sympathy and I hope you are satisfied. What next?!

Finally, this is my advice to you, anybody you intend to work with in the future (or not), try to always pay detailed attention and listen to every bit. Don't claim to know when you are assuming. Publicly, this is to say to you that I will not work with you again or respond to your private messages since you are trying to leverage online blackmail to burn my expertise to ashes and to get sympathy when you are not a victim of anything that warrants this childish act.

Money does not grow on trees but advising you to run your account sufficiently to have regular and/or continuous inflows that amount to a huge closing bank balance is a priceless information for your good and the best for your application. Lastly, a refused application doesn't mean it won't be approved if the needed was done.

My best of luck to you and the next person you will work with, or not. I will maintain professionalism and not reply to any matter related to this distracting and derailing subject again. I hope you get the advice you need.

Appreciation:

For all those who have continued to patronize GCMSWriters on IG for SOP/LOE writing and vetting, GCMS notes request, admission processing, and visa/permit application handling and guide/advise assistance; I say thank you and please, don't stop the patronage and continued referrals.

One Love!

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by BillQ: 8:51pm On Jun 27
Hi everyone,

I trusted this forum a lot, but now I'm very confused and suspecting foul play.

The day I came here to complain, the same person wrote to me immediately and tried to clear his name.

I contacted this person last year and told him about my travel plans, based on the reviews I got here. He’s the owner of www.gcmswriters.com. I visited his website and contacted him via email. I paid his consultation fee and for him to write my SOP. He calculated it in dollars, and I sent the equivalent in naira. We had a 30-minute phone appointment, and I was convinced he knew what he was doing.

I've been building my account since 2022 and paid my tuition in full. Due to inflation, I converted all the money into dollars and opened a dorm account in my name. I traveled back home to start getting documents ready, paying for hotels and food. Before he started, I had already paid him half of the money and I still have the receipt. I did my medicals, had two landed properties, sold one, included the other in my application, gathered my WAEC results, did upfront medical and biometrics. After all this, he told me he wouldn’t submit it until I paid the remaining amount. I borrowed money from my sister to pay him, and my application was withdrawn because I didn’t have a PAL.

He then told me to start saving money again in my naira account. I started saving money from crypto profits. When I got my PAL, I sent it to him and he applied for my visa. When my visa got rejected, he said he would request my GCMS notes and gave me a form to fill out. I started having second thoughts. First, if this guy is a professional, how could he submit an application without a PAL? Second, after my rejection, he told me to save 7-8-10 million naira in my account. He never allowed me to review my SOP, only showing me a part that didn’t mention my finances. I begged him to let me see it, as I paid for it, but he refused, saying it wasn’t relevant.

I have respected this guy and spent over 5 million naira on transportation to Nigeria, and paid him over 1. something million for his help. And yet, I am the one begging him. I have all the screenshots on my phone. Where did I go wrong? If he’s a professional, why didn’t he advise me to pay 2 years' fees and then buy a GIC? When I asked him if I should buy a GIC, he said no, that the first year's tuition was sufficient.

Is it wrong to share my experience about his services here? I've noticed that some people claim to have gotten their visa and then start giving reviews about the person who helped them. But if you follow their handles, you might find that the accounts were created by the same person who gave the review, just to get clients.

Please, honest Nairalanders, I’m begging with tears in my eyes. I have worked with @Zubizaretta, and I must say I was the one who wasn’t patient. I sent him N300,000 to secure admission, but when I thought he was slow, he refunded my money without hassle.

The person I’m also talking about said he would help me provide a receipt stating that I run a kitchenware business. I have seen on this thread how people explain lump sums, but why is my case different after all this suffering?

I have begged this person with numerous messages and paid my visa fee twice. This is really painful.

I don't know where mile 2 is as I am not that familiar with Lagos, but if you find yourself in Oshodi, take a cab going to Ajah, and drop at Ikate. Cross to the other side and walk down opposite where you dropped. Ask the people around that you are going to the VFS office as you are walking down. They will show you the place. It's not far from the main junction you alighted.
