Hello guys,
I applied for 2yrs visa on june 2023 and was denied, and i reapplied for 6months visa on August 2023 and was also denied. On same August i submitted an appeal for a review, this morning i got a message from sheffield saying that the decision to refuse my visa has been overturned, that i should submit my passport to the visa application center.
I use to live in Mauritius, but I'm currently in SA, my question is can i send my passport to the VAC here in SA, VAC Kenya or must i send my passport to the VAC in Mauritius.
My last UK visa was processed in Johannesburg, while the previous two denials my passport was sent to Kenya because Mauritius doesn't have UK embassy.

Hello!
I applied for a UK visitor's visa together with one of my children and have received mine. However, hers is still pending till date and has gotten me a little worried. I tracked it, and it says her application is still at the Decision making center.

She's 2 years old and has no previous travel history.

Our trip is in a week and naturally, I'm quite anxious.

Could there be a reason for this? Or is this a normal occurrence? Does anyone here have any similar experience?

Is it advisable to contact the UKVI for more information regarding the delay?

Eagerly anticipating a response.

Thank you

Hello house,

My body itches as we speak and I just need some sort of calm. What precedes an approval or denial? I’m catching a whiff that if the pick up email comes first before a decision email, you’re likely approved. If the decision email comes first, you’re denied. I got the dispatch email first, then pick up afterwards from TLS. No decision email from anywhere. Help a fainting soul…

I believe you got the visa.

@giselle237 @cashmadam @humblemoi @justwise and other gurus in the house, please help look into this. It’s a long read, but please help out. Anyone that has experienced this or being in a situation like this too can help out.

Someone I know wants to apply along with his mom for his brother’s graduation ceremony. Being the eldest, although he is married with kids, has his own business (lounge/bar), he has been using an online bank (kuda) for his business transactions (receiving and making payment) and expenses too. But later realized that online banks are not accepted for application, which made him start using access bank but it’s just for a month, with turnover of over 10m ( this was due to selling one of their landed properties for 14m and 7m was paid into the access account and the other 7m into the mom’s account. This was done to build the access account tho because he would have received the money into his Kuda normally)

Also, the mom has a business she runs and she has a turnover of over 30m in just 6 months and a balance of over 7m, which they both planned on spending (excluding flight or processing) just the amount they reserved for the both of them to spend over there, even tho his brother will provide accommodation as they want to go mainly for the graduation, so they intend spending just 7days due to their businesses.

The guy, being the eldest is the heir and manages all the family’s businesses, assets and finances. Matter of fact, he has unrestricted access to the family’s finance mostly in their mom’s personal account which he has the app on his phone.

As for home ties, he has his family, his business, landed properties (houses over 2 acres of land and a shopping complex) which he can actually prove as they all bear the family name, but the problem here is the statement of account.

Now the questions are:
1. Is it possible for him to use his mom’s statement of account with her submitting a consent letter stating that he has unrestricted access to the account being the heir since they are both traveling together - why should a Mother sponsor a grown family man? The visa officer will wonder..
2. Should he attach the 1month statement of account too just like that alongside the mom’s own? - one month is not enough to show his financial status
3. What are the chances that his application will fly considering that they won’t be paying for accommodation as they will be staying with his brother. - nobody can predict. My guess is that it will be tough..
4. Does his brother need to do anything like maybe submit his own statement of account (with £4k in it) and a cover letter or any letter at all to support his application. - that might help
5. Should he go ahead with things or he shouldn’t bother about it. If yes, how should he go about his own application. - he can try. You never know until you try

Please, anyone and everyone is allowed to contribute towards this. And I am open to answering any questions. Thank you all and God bless.

Good day everyone, I sincerely need help and advice.
I'm a Nigerian but I'm currently working in Qatar, I traveled January this year with an employment visa. I want to apply for a UK visit visa to attend my brother graduating in November.
My questions are.
1, I have payslips of my salary and I don't have a bank account here in Qatar is it enough to prove sufficient funds.
2,can I apply for 2 years visit visa as a first timer to UK cause I will love to visit again next year summer.
3,what are the required documents to provide for the visit visa.
4,what amount is required . I'm to spend 14 days on this trip
Thank you so much I will be waiting for the kind and helpful response of anyone who willing to help me out.

Hi guys. This may end up being a long read so I apologise in advance.
I am planning to sponsor my mom’s visit to the UK for my brother’s graduation and to visit me as well. I am acting as the sponsor because I’m on a work visa and I have been working full time longer than my brother.
Is August 1st too late to apply if the graduation is on the 9th of September?
How many months payslips + bank statements should I submit?
Is £5k balance + 2k+ monthly payslips enough if I’m fully sponsoring her visit (for 14 days)
My mom does catering (but not frequently) and subsistence farming. I am planning to exclude the catering part as she doesn’t get jobs frequently and it’s not a registered business (I want to keep the application as simple as possible). She is 61 and doesn’t do any full time work. We take care of her.
Does she need to include her bank statement at all?
My son currently lives with her (10 year old). Can he serve as home ties? My dad is late. What else can she use as home ties?
We would be able to get a letter from our church and maybe CAN and PFN (she’s an active member of both). Does this help in any way?

Sorry for the long read. Looking forward to your responses

Thank you #Cashmadam. I appreciate your comment.
He will upload a support letter from his supervisor at work for the weeks of leave approval that indicates his return date of duties in response to your inquiry about proofing his return. In addition, he will upload his NYSC PPA letter, which shows a probable discharge date of October 31st. He plans his visit from September 19th to October 2nd (~approximately 2 weeks). He will not be requesting funds into his account as POF again, as advised by you to avoid account padding, but he stated his yearly additional income from family to be N420k and will be uploading only his brother's, who is fully sponsoring his trip, financial details (payslips, UK employment letter, BRP document). Kindly give your advice and any suggestions about the application now.

I want to confirm a section of his application asking how much he personally plans to spend on his visit. He will be fully sponsored by his brother, and he plans to put 1400GBP, as shown in the screenshot. However, there is another section that asks if someone is paying for the visit, which is yes, and the amount he's putting in is 1400 GBP. So my question is, should he be putting 1400 GBP in how much he personally plans to spend, or the 1400 GBP should only appear on the section of the application asking if someone is paying for his visit?

Please can I submit 2 accounts from my sponsor (one savings and one current account) ? Also do I need to explain their finances?

Lastly how do I provide proof of employment if he/she is a government worker. Thank you.

Good evening y’all, please I read through few refusal notes here and I marked them the term, they always want to know how you accumulated your opening balance, I’ve been saving on this account, a have a particular amount I spend every month, how then do I prove this whole savings that have been there for years? Do I need to include my payslip for all the years I’ve been working? I save some reasonable amount every month after expenditures, do I need to add it to that tab where it asked if I have savings? Like for example, all the money I’ve in my account is the savings after expenses, when they ask if I have any savings, should I say my savings is 17M which is the balance of my account or I should just say N0?? It’s really confusing

Your birth certificate spelling out your maiden name..
Your marriage certificate also should be cool cos it also carries your maiden name which I belive your brother bears..
Lastly, any childhood Pic with your brother there or even possibly your screenshot of WhatsApp chat history with him in last few years...

Hello guys, the section in the UK visit visa application, "About the Cost of Visit," instructs to estimate the total amount, including flights, accommodation, and daily expenses. This is confusing because it seems like the section is specific to the applicant, but for someone being fully sponsored, I am thinking, should I list a smaller amount here based on personal income, or should the total amount provided here match the amount stated in the following section about the amount the sponsor will support with (1400GBP) since this section requires that we include the costs for flights and other general expenses that the we personally plan during the visit.

I submitted 4 because my sponsor doesn't save in Naira. I submitted the salary account (in Naira), the intermediary account (in Naira) they have to show where they sent the money for the trip to me from... Their domiciliary account and their pension account.
I got a solvency certificate from the bank to prove they've been banking with their bank for years too.

Then I attached their employment letter and letter of introduction from where they work. Then other ID cards. Hopefully everything works out

hi everyone,
my mum has a valid uk visa that expires early august
she is going to canada in July with a stop over in UK
however, by the time of the return of her trip
her uk visa would be expired, would this be an issue at immigration ?
can she do her biometrics in canada whilst on a visit visa ?
or the biometrics and capturing has to be done in naija ?
would appreciate response, suggestions and advice

I doubt if she can apply from Canada. It is best she applies from Nigeria before she leaves for Canada. Apply and pay for priority so that the visa can be issued within a few days.

Is her return flight through the UK? Or she wants to stay for a bit.
It seems like she only needs this for a transit.

Might want to consider if she needs a UK visa if her flight back is going through the UK. Because if she's just going to be at the airport then it not a problem.

I think it's a little late now to start applying for a UK visa if she travelling in July.
Id take my chances with applying in Canada for a transit visa fory return flight.

Hello, did anyone apply for their parent’s visit visa without attaching Airbnb booking? I live in a shared house. Was anyone in a similar situation? And how did you tackle the issue of accommodation?

My mom will stay with her sister but I do not want to include my aunt in the application. I’m trying not to add too many variables
