mikeapollo:This delisting has little to do with SEC. Its a court ordered delisting. SEC is not even a party to the suit. Only the court can determine if it will succeed or not. SEC will not have a say on it. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Streetinvestor2: 11:49am On Jun 28 |
Mpeace:If that is how you see it.Sec will have to approve it at the end or could reject it if shareholders reject it at agm.The shareholders have the strongest part to play and you won't be expecting them to accept 7.07 at this present time and result The court has no final saying otherwise they won't be asking oando to call for shareholders meeting. to get approval |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 12:09pm On Jun 28 |
Mpeace:The SEC has a major role to play. That is why Oando itself has applied to SEC to obtain SEC's ''no objections'' approval. The SEC is yet to respond, waiting for the final decision to see what Oando would come up with as the final offer price. SEC can decline the request and that would be the end of the delisting. What the court is to determine is if the applicants have the legal basis to make the request for delisting. SEC has the mandate to decide if the delisting should be done based on market rules and regulations. Shareholders also can shoot it down if they vote against it at the AGM. |

GUINNESS. The GUINNESS rush has tapered down after the rumored N81.60 buyout price. However, there are some unpopular yet key information to note. The transaction is expected to be completed by the 2025 fiscal year-end, subject to regulatory approvals. PRO - Tolaram has one of the largest manufacturing, marketing, and distribution networks for consumer goods in Africa. It is the parent company of BHN Logistics, one of the largest haulage logistics companies in the country. - "Tolaram Group likely generates more revenue than some FMCG giants like Flour Mills of Nigeria, Nestle Nigeria, and BUA Foods" CON - Despite its 50-year presence in the Nigerian market, it has a history of "not publicly listing any of its ventures". This could mean a potential delisting of Guinness Nigeria from the NGX. - Diageo remains the owner of the Guinness brand and will enter into a long-term license and royalty agreement as part of the terms of the agreement. However, the cost implications of the licensing and royalty agreement are not yet known. Do your own research, take moderate risks AND do not be greedy... 2 Likes 1 Share |

There are rules guiding every company listed on NGX Meanwhile, outcome of VFDGROUP's AGM is out... * Bonus approved * Capital raise approved https://doclib.ngxgroup.com/Financial_NewsDocs/41524_VFD_GROUP_PLC-VFD_GROUP-_RESOLUTIONS_PASSED_AT_8TH_ANNUAL_GENERAL_MEETING_CORPORATE_ACTIONS_JUNE_2024.pdf 1 Like |

This excerpt of the NGX Rule Book explains voluntary and regulatory delisting A Court-Ordered Meeting of the shareholders will be convened when the delisting is as a result of a merger or other reconstruction. And they only require 75% of the votes cast by shareholders at such EGM either in person or by proxy. (How many people dey attend EGM sef) https://ngxgroup.com/ngx-download/rules-for-delisting-of-equity-securities-from-the-daily-official-list-of-the-exchange/?wpdmdl=26422&refresh=667e9cd5704881719573717 1 Like |

I just smile from the sideline when I read certain post about the coy. ...It's surprising that some folks aren't seeing the value accretive potential in the coy when all they needed to do was thoroughly peruse through their financial print, particularly the last two. Unfortunately, many will choose to focus on a coys SPL setting aside the timely expose that often comes with proficiently and efficiently modelling the Nos in the BS and SCF. Let me say this again; OANDO holds huge potential even @ the CMP. A very conservative FVE places the coy @ N37.15 even if I assume zero growth in H2, 2024 and knock-off a RP equivalent to surrounding risk level. I love how the technicals has played out. (ref: HTF set-up in view) Even a thorough breakdown of the coys TA gives a clear clue on directional bias and price projection, but of course some aren't seeing it. (I already did an analysis on this) I did highlight the immense potential in OANDO, 1st @ N4+ and later @ N7--8... at a time when all but a few jack believed the stock will be de-listed in the near term. ...surprisingly, they still do! It's almost like they can't read the hand writing on the wall. Was done talking about OANDO so I won't appear to be marketing the coy. (see link above for my last 2 post) Those who subscribed to my outline/recommendations and investment guide--Series 1 and 2 knew exactly what they had to do. People appear to be more concerned about antecedents/the past than what the present gives or even the future holds. These 2 Nuggets are key! "I know of a man who was 'drowned in the vicissitudes of the stock market'. ...his pathways was built around the PAST than the FUTURE, until the PRESENT left him behind!" ~Sinclair "If you want to KNOW if you can SUCCEED in the stock market, then 1st find out where you fall in between SMART, INTELLIGENT and DISCERNING. ...but remember that the market has been CONFIGURED to have and work with all 3 attribute as a collective." ~Sinclair CAVEAT: NOT to be inferred as any sought of investment advice. The need for due diligence should still take higher precedence ahead of this post. It is well 3 Likes |

emmanuelewumi:Yes you are right.I saw it once at con oil last agm when I visited uyo. They easily manipulate it through the head of all this shareholders association. The oando own will not be easy to sell at #7.07 now with current realities for the management. They will have to up the price well if they still choose to delist. I remember nwaosu not happy that oando was planning to delist and asked con oil management not to contemplate such move 1 Like |
