Despite A Poor Performance, Biden Won The Debate!

I have to admit that Biden didn’t perform as expected. He focused more on fact checking Trump than putting forward his plan after reelection

Also, his struggle with composure affected his performance. His biggest miss was the final speech where he could’ve just forgotten about Trump for a second and appealed to voters directly

Despite this poor performance, he still won the debate

Why? Trump’s Lies were a big turnoff, plus he refused to condemn Jan 6 and promise that it won’t happen again.

All he could’ve said was something along the lines of “Jan 6 was intended to be a rally but it unfortunately got out of hand. I admit I could’ve done better but that will never happen again under my watch”. Big miss in my opinion!

Americans want you to take responsibility for your actions. He did not attract independents by avoiding to take responsibility. It means he’ll do it again if the situation arises again.

Now back to the lies. When you’re in an American debate, avoid using phrases like “he did a very bad job bla bla bla”. Be specific about how you arrived at that conclusion. For instance, Biden was specific when he mentioned the 159 scholars or so voting Trump as the worst president in American history. Trump was calling Biden the worst president, what was his source? He can only appeal to his base with such blanket statements

A lot of Americans are well educated so they don’t buy into “source: trust me” kind of statements.

One more thing. Even with communication challenges, you could see his intellectual capacity was intact. He knew his numbers, but messed up on delivery

My Verdict: Biden Won, regardless.

These are the kind of blanket statements that I talked about. You post a conclusion without any rationale about how you arrived at that conclusion

The democrats probably need to shop for more candidates, but at this point, Biden seems to be the only one who can beat Trump based on power of incumbency plus Trump haters

It's too late to shop for another candidate...

And market same at this point.

The democrats should have seen the signs coming a long time ago and put a backup plan in place.

Whatever they do now- shopping a new candidate or sticking to Biden won't matter anymore.

Biden is the best shot they have actually.

I don't see them winning this one!

How about a VP replacement for Kamala? Voting for Biden at this point means people are comfortable with Kamala being president

How did someone like Trump, an unforgiving liar and convicted felon, ever made it to a candidate as president of the US? That will forever amaze me. Shame on all Republican politicians who have allowed this guy bulldoze his way to candidacy! At this point, America is in doldrums already, Trump win or no win

This is why the U.S is backward

Two Old men(78yo and 81yo) couldnt even leave the Govt for the youths to handle, they'd rather die fighting over it

Are there no youths in the U.S or why do they like recylcing old men

They should go see for themselves how its been done In a 'SANER CLIME' and 'MORE ADVANCED COUNTRIES' cheesy cheesy cheesy

Biden tried but he didn't improve his current position. None failed to give the big hut their campaign hoped for. So therefore, The status quo remains with Trump still leading Biden in most of the polls of swing states. The President's remark I love was let's see how your numbers are after the election.
We all will be looking to see how he performs in the Blue wall of WI, MI and PA.

OP it is very obvious you didn't watch the debate or you watched it upside down. Trump floored Biden both in composure and tactics. Yea it's true that Trump can over exaggerate things but he's smart and he knows how to dodge questions. Trump knows how to play emotional politics and he tells Americans and his supporters what the want to hear. Biden on the other hand was very weak, stuttering and not confident ( maybe old age or something) I watched that debate live from 2am. Biden couldn't even validate the January 6th insurrection, and Trump tactically blamed Biden for everything. Trump is a clever politician.
Even Democrats admitted that THEY ARE F***KED.

Trump was vibrant but he lacked performance data and appeal to the independents.

I don’t blame you, you’re probably analyzing from a Nigerian perspective, but it doesn’t appeal to most Americans.

Yes soms flash polls say he won the debate but he didn’t appeal to moderates and independents

Obama also didn’t do well in his first debate against Mitt Romney but he picked it up in the second debate, so Biden has a chance to make a comeback

You're a conflicted hypocrite.

In Nigeria you oppose Tinubu and his supporters. Here you support Biden, a senile octogenarian who is partly responsible for the death of millions of people around the world; death of Russians and Ukrainians, Iranians, Pakistanis, etc; destruction of third world economies and countries through global dollarisation pursuit etc....

Tell me why your "Baterians" tomorrow won't quote this your post tomorrow as excuse for their choice of voting a BAT in 2023.

Shame on you
