A colleague of mine who is from india just went back to india cos he has finished the project that brought him ti nigeria. so after he left his driver came with some boxes containing the things he had left in his house. his driver handed them to me. some of the items were food which has expired but because of sapa i decided to cook it. pls what are the side effect of eating such foods? 4 Likes 1 Share

it's 'best before' , So no worries...it just means it isn't as delicious or fresh after that said date. Besides those things like 'expiring date' etc are mostly scam( they want U to eat quicky & buy more), sometimes its just one of the things that made up the product loosing its efficacy. unless u see some insects, spoilage or very abnormal taste or smell...Enjoy ur food. It varies o. Just go on item by item basis. For each, google to see if it is safe to eat after 1 year expiration. Example, can spaghetti be eaten one year after expiration date? Do same for all items. 7 Likes |

Some of them will not give you the exact nutrients it supposed to give you initially but you will be alright las las. Bro eat your food, you won't die, okay? Food doesn't expire. It only has best before. Meaning, the date until which a foodstuff retains its specific properties, e.g. taste, aroma, appearance, any specific qualities which relate to the product, vitamin content, etc It doesn't necessarily mean it's bad or it will kill you. 10 Likes 1 Share |
