PresidObi: He said Patrick Aziza. Edit: But probably meant Azazi because he said the person was NSA. Aziza was never NSA, Azazi was. |

princemartinsG: Tinubu is part of the corrupt elite in this country, in fact, a powerful factor of Nigerian corruption. This is undeniable. No one says he is the only one or he created it. Besides the person you quoted didn't mention him. |

It's only corruption when you are not being favoured. Otherwise, it's God's Grace What a shame! |

Yankee101: Kobicove: E go shock una. He said from stolen crude. Do you know the amount of crude stolen from Nigerian waters which is not accounted for at all in our system and budgets? It is probably more than what the FG gets from crude. 1 Like 1 Share |

It’s virtually impossible to loot $69 billion in dollars and stash it in a bank due to the robust anti money laundering and terrorism laws in the USA This man is exaggerating the situation 4 Likes |

hegu: Think before you comment. How can one person steal $69b and would still be walking the streets of Nigeria. And where would the person keep the money. How would he starched it away? This is sensational comment. He did not even mention the name of the person. $69b is not N63. I know this Obolo guy. He is very controversial. Unfortunately he would misled many of you to believe this crap 1 Like |

They have blamed abokifx, crypto, binance, yahoo boys, & just about everyone else but the real culprits. With these kind of amounts that we can only assume are still being diverted from the system continuously, how will the economy not be adversely impacted?? The Efcc as a body needs to be scrapped if their focus is on young people & hotel guests, while the economy is being killed off systematically by corrupt politicians alone. |

Bovis: Don't mind the man. He is a controversial figure. He mentioned $69b as if it is N63k. He was eventually booted out of his role, having been accused of corruption himself. 1 Like |

The thieves are definitely highly connected to those in govt that's why buhari didn't give the go ahead to apprehend them. There's absolutely no way any nigerian can steal $69b worth of crude oil without active collusion from the very top unfortunately for nigeria this same stolen money will definitely be used to destabilise any genuine people orientated elected government. |

3 types of people on Nairaland 1, snakes - those who live to deceive others 2, chickens - the uninformed who think arbitrarily 3, eagles - the informed who try to speak the truth. @seun, please do all you can to let the voice of those who speak the truth be heard. Nairaland should have a conscience. Create nairaland archives, certain media files should be easily available here. To the topic at hand, an acquaintance of mine had told me of his ordeal on the high sea where Nigerian stolen crude was being sold in the black market, same as LNG. A Naval official had opined in an interview that there is nothing like oil theft… he pointed fingers at the government, stating that what was being stolen was done by ships. Recently Mr. Dickson accused syndicates in Lagos and Abuja of being involved. To investigative journalists - Nigerians need names, the rest will be handled when the time is right. And nairaland will be a reference point. 1 Like |

Bola Ahmed Tinubu has the unenviable task of running Nigeria on less than a shoestring budget and loansharks trying so hard to pit him against the masses yet those who caused our economic implosion as recently as the last administration are strolling all over Abuja with police escorts, drinking the finest wines and dining the finest babes yet the country is dead broke. Nigeria is not a serious place I swear |
